PC crashes illegal Instruction - 0xc000001d

I would be grateful to anyone who helps because I can't seem to find an answer elsewhere. We have a Dell Inspiron laptop running Vista. In the last months, when online and especially if viewing video or games, the system constantly (but sporadically) breaks down, stop the laptop completely. The following splashbox appears:

"AutoComplete: iexplore.exe - Application error

The invalid Instruction exception

An attempt was made to execute an illegal instruction (0xc000001d) occurred in the application at location 0x771c42eb

Click OK to terminate the program "

Until I have a chance to do something, the laptop is off. I'm a complete beginner in this field would love someone to give me a part of their knowledge!

Thank you, Neil.

original message: my PC crashes with the same mysterious error message appearing just before.

Hello

More likely to be an addon/plugin problem. In internet explorer, click on Tools / Manage Addons/enable or disable Addons. Disable all zeros not Microsoft which load automatically, and then restart Internet Explorer.

    Hello

    I'm having a problem with Adobe Flash Media Server 3.5.4 (developer) installation default

    'ldd' showed me some missing libs, but I managed to overcome that

    'server' works well, but I can't launch "fmsadmin".

    I use Debian 5.0.6 on VPS

    Here's some debugging info, that I could get:

    Hi James,

    Sorry, it took a while to get back. It is a known problem that will be fixed in the next version of FMS. The problem is the structure of/proc/meminfo is read into a buffer of fixed size and in this case the print is too big and it overflows. This structure changes in the size of time in time, that this would explain why its incompatible.

    I don't have a good workaround for the moment another alternative that remove items declared in/proc/meminfo - but this would require a change in core, AFAIK. You may need also some success with symbolic/proc/meminfo to a truncated version of the file in the view - of the FMS or maybe denied access altogether to the FMS in this hierarchical structure.

    Whatever it is, question is and already fixed for the next version.

  • All programs before crashing at launch, 0xc000001d error

    I recently installed the creative cloud on my Windows desktop computer (Windows 7) and wanted to download and install the first, Media Encoder, Photoshop, and After Effects. After having installed the first time, I tried to open the first and it came with "Adobe Premiere couldn't launch" and some other stuff in a dialog box, then a few seconds later another dialogue box came with "the application could not start properly (0xc000001d). Click OK to close the application. "It's the same thing for 3 other programs too. I tried to uninstall and reinstall a few times now, twice with withdrawal creative cloud completely and erase from my system. I've updated to the thing of Windows 7 SP1 has solved a similar problem for many others on this forum, does not, I read. Now I try to reinstall again. It's so frustrating, I have a huge project by Friday and will now have to do on my laptop which has a tendency to crash a lot... Please tell me you can help!

    Have you checked for Windows Update and make sure that the Windows operating system is up-to-date.

    Anti-virus and Anti-Malware scan once.

    Also check the update of the driver graphics card. [Important]

    Open programs and features in Control Panel and make sure that 2013 MSVC ++ is installed or not, otherwise download and install link below and check.

    Download Packages redistributable Visual C++ to Visual Studio 2013 of the official Microsoft Download Center

    Let me know if you are still facing same issue. and a screenshot will be useful.

    If possible get a screenshot of the log of the event Viewer.

  • Install Flash 9 crashes IE6

    I have big problems with flash crash ie6 on my Windows 2000 machine. I tried to uninstall using the uninstall adobe program, re-install, etc... I can't even drive installed now because even the flash installer now blocks my browser.

    A site that still has the cause of the problem is www.go2bethany.com. I have contacted them to see who it is who's in charge, but I can't get their home page loaded to get their contact information. Not sure that I would get an answer in all cases.

    Here's the error message (somewat badly drafted) I get until I have only one choice - to close the browser.

    SysFader: iexplore.exe - Application error
    ===================================
    The invalid Instruction exception
    An attempt was made to execute an illegal instruction
    < < address of the instruction given here > >

    Click OK to terminate the program

    Help!

    OK, I solved the problem. This is the third time I looked for help here without success, so I simply started Regedit and did a slash and burn research for each registry key that contains the Flash Word and deletion of all. Now, I get a web page telling me that I don't have flash installed.

    I don't think I'll install Flash again. It's too much headache and a lot of flash content is either advertising or accidental.

  • Werfault.exe error message

    I get this message when you try to open the Panel and windows programs. such as the backup and restore: Werfault.exe - Application error - error exception invalid statement - an attempt was made to execute an illegal instruction. (0xc000001d) occurred in the application at location 0x7730b5f1. I can't use the execution of orders, so, how do I fix? It all started when this woman came and put his camera card in my printer and print a photo she had taken. Please help, because I'm considering a format, which I don't want to do unless absolutely necessary. Thanks for your help.

    Hi Eburner,

    Werfault.exe is used to Windows error reporting. This is a feature that allows Microsoft to track and address errors related to Windows features, the operating system and applications. It offers you the opportunity to send data about errors to Microsoft and to receive information on the solutions.

    You can access here Windows error reporting settings: Control Panel > system and Maintenance > Problem Reports and Solutions > change settings > advanced settings

    Method1

    I suggest that you stop and restart the Windows error reporting service on the computer and check later if the problem persists.

    (a) click Start menu and type services.msc in the search box and press ENTER.

    (b) in the service list, navigate to the Windows error reporting service.

    (c) right-click and click Properties now to stop the service and restart it.

    (d) click on apply and OK

    Check if the problem persists.

    Method 2

    If the previous step fails then I suggest that you perform the clean boot procedure to check whether a third-party program installed on the computer is causing the problem.

    To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows Vista or Windows 7 by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

    See the link below to learn more about how to clean boot.

    How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

    Reset the computer to start as usual

    When you are finished troubleshooting, follow these steps to reset the computer to start as usual:

    (a) click Start, type msconfig in the search box and press ENTER.

    (b) If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password or click on continue.

    (c) under the general tab, click the Normal startup option, and then click OK.

    (d) when you are prompted to restart the computer, click on restart.

    I hope this helps!

  • Laptop will not connect to my home wireless network

    I've had my laptop for a few months and my home network wireless also. My laptop has always worked perfectly until last night, I was in the living room and my phone cut because it ran out of battery. I went to restart, and when I did, NO network could be found, and several others usually appear outside my home network. The wireless switch is turned on and I rebooted the computer several times, I ran the wizards and shooters of boredom, I started the wireless zero configuration, but nothing happens. everything he says is "wireless networks could not be found", and when I click on the message, a black box appears with a message saying "windows has encountered an illegal instruction. I don't know what to do. my laptop model is a Sony Vaio, but that's what I know. My ipod connects to the wireless perfectly, so I know its my laptop that needs fixing.

  • C++ NTVDM CPU error

    Recently, I started to learn C++ and made some simple programs in Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Express. However, when I started programming a video game, I noticed the limit of 300 line and had a little trouble trying to include several source files, so I decided to simply program programs and experiments in the IDE and programming stuff any longer in Notepad. I tested this point by creating a simple Hello World program and save it as an executable file. I got the error "NTVDM CPU has met an illegal instruction." under the heading "16-bit MS-DOS subsystem". I'm probably doing something I'd usually do in the IDE in Notepad, causing it to show this error. Also, I did a SFC scan and it detected that there was nothing wrong with the system. Here is the code for "helloworld.exe".

    #include
    using namespace std;
    int main()
    {
    cost< "hello="" world"="">< endl;="">
    return 0;
    }

    Hello

    You can still post the question in the forum provided above. You can also search support forums for the compiler you use or another general programming forum for assistance.

    Note: Using third-party software, including hardware drivers can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the use of third-party software can be solved. Software using third party is at your own risk.

  • Received phone calls from Adelaide number telling me that my computer will crash in two days, if I do not open a session and follow his instructions because of Trojan virus

    original title: Trojan warnings

    Received phone calls from a number of Adelaide telling me that my computer will crash in two days, if I do not open a session and follow his instructions because of Trojan virus. Nobody gave his name and phone number and said she is Microsoft? She also told me that it was free and part of Windows security. How will I know if it is authentic or not?

    Hello

    It's a SCAM

    Microsoft does NOT contact you unless you have for them to

    read this:

    http://www.Microsoft.com/security/online-privacy/msName.aspx

    Microsoft has none of the unsolicited telephone calls to help you fix your computer

    In this type of scam cybercriminals are calling you and claim to be of Support technique Microsoft. They offer help with your computer problems. Once scammers have earned your trust, they try to steal and damage your computer with malicious software, including viruses and spyware.

    Although the law enforcement can trace phone numbers, often authors use pay telephones, disposable cell phones or stolen cellular phone numbers. Better avoid fooling themselves rather than try to repair the damage afterwards.

    Treat all unsolicited sceptically telephone calls. Don't provide personal information.

    If you receive an unsolicited call from someone who claims to be from Technical Support Microsoft, hang up. We do not have such calls.

    If you think you might be a victim of fraud, you can report it. For more information, see: what to do if you think you have been scammed.

    Update 1: I found that I need to add the following lines of code to enable logging on the server. But I thing execution is not to join them and fail before that. No idea how to highlight the execution of any request. Maybe in jdeveloper and weblogic server?

    System.setProperty ("com.sun.xml.ws.transport.http.client.HttpTransportPipe.dump", "true");

    System.setProperty ("com.sun.xml.internal.ws.transport.http.client.HttpTransportPipe.dump", "true");

    System.setProperty ("com.sun.xml.ws.transport.http.HttpAdapter.dump", "true");

    System.setProperty ("com.sun.xml.internal.ws.transport.http.HttpAdapter.dump", "true");

    System.setProperty ("javax.net.debug", "true");

    Update 2: I just need to set the following properties of java (-Dcom.sun.xml.ws.transport.http.HttpAdapter.dump = true) in the setDomainEnv this file for the side server, see this link: How to apply Log and response with Java JAX - WS Client and web service server? But how to connect their good in files not just their output in the console?

    I am in a position to know what is the cause of the error (Illegal treatment target instruction ("xml"), xml (not case sensitive) is booked by the plug.)

    Update 2 in the question, I am able to see which is reached from the server console. The customer was sending additional labels and with in the body tag, which is not recognized by the server of web service application and it throw the customer 500 internal server error. The problem is solved by sending exactly the XML except without additional or missing tags.

  • Constant crash with statement until I can notice that it is illegal

    I recently restored Vista Home premium instead as it was breaking. So I installed 86 updates. My pc always freezes when the Explorer is open and playing downloaded games. I don't have the ability to write down the error message before the crash.
    If this is due to a change in the system configuration, it was not intentional. Any suggestions what can be the cause and how can I fix it. I tried to find the source of the error, but it does not appear to be connected. I tried to limit the start up programs. I only know the basics and am not an expert. It leads me to madness. Thank you, Jacqueline

    Check if the same problem occurs when you run properly 'kicked' system (check here).

  • My Google Chrome crashed and I'm trying to follow the instructions to fix it and it says to go to the Start Menu > run... Can't find the race...!

    Ideas:

    • You have problems with programs
    • Error messages
    • Recent changes to your computer
    • What you have already tried to solve the problem

    Hello

    In Vista, you can just type it into the search line, you get when you click Start, and then simply press to load any command that you enter. Alternatively, you can press the Windows key + r to get the run dialogue box and it do.

    If you want to have "executed" added to the start menu (not really necessary because the search line can perform the same function), right click on the taskbar, click Properties. On the start menu tab, click Customize, scroll through the list and select the box "run command".
