  Hi, I downloaded directx 9 Microsoft Download last night.  Now my sniper game stops in the middle of the room.  I tried restoring the system & I can't restore to an earlier time.  How can I fix it?  How can I get rid of directx 9?  I am running Vista Home on a Compaq Presario with nvidia graphics, AMD 64.

  Hi, a friend gave me used fcs3. It installed fine, everything works fine, but after 30 to 60 minutes, the screen flickers and the game stops, and my table is displayed. I get no error message at all and I went topics in microsoft help for cfs3 specific website if overwrite problems cfs3, which there was a huge page full of symptoms and types of accident etc but since I got no error message number refer to I have read the whole search'm thiing and the causes and resolutions , but found nothing there.

  I tried to restart and the program should run for a while then crash and return to the table.

  I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but I got the same results.

  The information and links have been informative and educational and I'll save that for a later use. However, the graphics card was the problem (I discovered) so I'm upgrading and also I move FSX on my new pc (a pc gamer VELOCITY) and it works perfectly. Thanks again for your contribution.

  Most of the online games use Java and Flash Player. If Java or Flash Player is not updated, you can get this error message.

  Works very well. But whenever I do that, there is a slight darkening when the multi-state object appears at the end. To create the image of the multi-state objects, I opened the video in Photoshop, caught the last image and saved as a JPEG file.

  Anyone have any ideas? I tried to save the image as a PNG, much other workaround solutions, but the problem persists. I've noticed this in other publications that I downloaded also, so I think that the problem is widespread.

  I agree with yunusemreklk!
  The reason might be that your laptop is overheating and so I would try to clean using compressed air stream. This could blow out the dust from the cooling fans.
  In addition, I would try to update the BIOS of your laptop before moving on to an authorized service provider. You can find it on the Toshiba European driver download page.

  Last but not least, you must disable the wake on LAN function in the BIOS and in windows too. Computer laptop doesn t restart if a network cable is plugged.

  I have win7, Windows Home premium 64-bit on an HP Pavilion Elite I - 7 core intel and Gateway screen (fx2300). After the last update for windows and ATI, I had problems to read my games - some don't is not loading, some give me access violations, others do not go full-screen. Oh, now I can no longer adjust the resolution of my screen for anything other than the highest or lowest values acceptable (everthing in between is blocked).  I have supported the ATI update several times, but it takes to watch TV in hd. I worked with HP to install and reinstall the ATI update and update of the last window. Whenever errors are different on my games. Initially, they were access violations and some games would not work, I have the update and reinstall it and other games would get the access violation? Now I can't load games 'Titanic', 'Travel', 'Nancy Drew - lights camera curses'. -No message, just a flickering on the screen, then the game ends. On "Death on the nile" error - latest version of directx. On 'Peril at End House' error - last need direct 3d. I have directx 11. All my games worked at the beginning of April. .  I have directx 11.

  First thing to do would be to check the compatibility of the individual games that you are trying to play the Windows 7 Compatibility Center.

  Then, DO NOT ever update the drivers through Windows Update. Always install the drivers from the manufacturer's website.

  Is your Windows 7 install an upgrade of Windows Vista?

  Titanic, travel, etc. - are these games, bigfish, BTW?

  If so, contact them.

  I feel ultimately that your user account may have got corrupted somehow.

  Create a new user account and check if you can play the games there.

  If so, fix the damaged user account.
