My PC is turns off in the middle to do stuff, I can play a game, surf the net or even watching something on Netflix without warning my CPU turns off. restart after the failure of the system is disabled. This problem started a couple of days. There is no warning, BSOD or pop-up messages with error of any kind codes, no specific time intervals between shut downs I can do stuff for hours or less than an hour and it doesn't seem to matter what I do. All non-essential programs do not run at startup, I click on them at their start as of IM, e-mail client, etc.
I tried running analyses of spyware and viruses with software that was already installed on my PC before that the problem started, but my PC stops before scans can complete. the scans only I can get to complete is virus scan with my AVG Pro version, malware scans with IObit Advanced System Care and IObit Malware Fighter that was installed before the problem started. find them 3 all mean other than cookies.
I can't run the PC in safe mode, the PC gets as much as the 'starting windows' screen (just before the login screen) and turns off when you start in safe mode.
Other new spyware or programs of type scan virus in the past 2-3 days, no new software other than MS updates have been installed in the last 6 months. In September, after a day of MS that I noticed some programs would "hang" after that I clicked to open, but after a minute or two they would open right. the only new equipment that has been installed recently, 2 months ago was an ethernet card, I upgraded from 10/100 to a 10/100/1000.
I'm at a complete loss what to do to fix this... I checked the folder of the program both of add/remove programs to see if something had been installed without my permission/knowledge and nothing new, that I don't allow, is displayed.
Thank you for your answers

completed all 3 methods

system files and disk auditor found no error scan
disk defragmentation was carried out when well same defrag was not necessary as had been done on Saturday night as part of a scheduled task that starts automatically.
We can how ever corrected the problem. my daughters PC has started to do exactly the same thing after it has updated his Flash to Adobe for the most recent version, the mine updated automatically and is not hers. We drove back both our versions of flash for the previous version and so far, neither one of our PC itself has turned off.
I'll post again if flash seems not to be the problem after all.

    Hello

    1. How did you shut down the computer?
    2. are - it stop with the power button on the computer?

If so, this causes the computer in a standby / hibernation
If you shut down properly by clicking on start > stop, then you must wait until the computer is shut down before you close the lid of the laptop.

    Hello

Just to confirm if the problem lies in the operating system or not. Please go ahead and enter the BIOS. The link provided below shows how to enter the BIOS.

If please enter the BIOS and press F5, it asks if you want to set the default setting, press YES. Press F10, then enter it will re-start the comp. Be in the BIOS and see if the computer stops.

  • Satellite Pro A200-PSAE4E - computer laptop shuts down randomly

I've had my Satellite Pro A200-PSAE4E for about a year and a half now. He ran very well most of the time, but in recent months he has been stop itself randomly. There is no warning or "Windows is shutting down" he just me using my computer to a blank screen.

After frustrated with her, I did a full format my HARD drive and started from scratch. This does not solve the problem, and since then, the taskbar freezes. When I click on it I get the error and the hourglass cursor message "Windows Explorer is not responding... "I then have to click"restart", which makes the taskbar disappear for a few seconds before returning (usually without my sound icon).

The laptop turns off when it is connected to the electric network with & without the battery and when running only on battery, so I excluded all power problem.

I have considered it heats up too, but I use a block of cooling with built-in fans and has not himself in a few minutes after being hit not 24 hours, so I'm not sure that's the problem.

    Someone at - it ideas?

I am running WIndows Vista Home Premium 32-bit if that's any help.

    Thank you.

    > It worked fine most of the time, but in recent months he has been stop itself randomly.
    > There is no warning or "Windows is shutting down" he just me using my computer to a blank screen.

I think that the problem of overheating.
The fact is that the laptop would be down automatically stops in order to avoid that the pieces of equipment against damage.
In most cases this problem can be solved very easily. Using a jet of compressed air, you can remove the dust from the cooling modules and fans.
I clean my fans from time to time, because I noticed a higher temperature and the laptop was a little stronger.

However, the judgment takes very long time to complete as well as start-up (when the reason for HP on screen disappears Goes in a blank screen for a few seconds - patience is a virtue here as the kicks from Windows in the end). I have no problem with Windows 10 in itself , but I can't identify what are the process causes it is slow. A new BIOS is necessary

Thank you for these informative tips - I have already put into practice.

According to ITIL, I believe that the incident that I was describing is a known problem and is best explained here.  I got my AMD driver at 15.7, x 64, with no improvement, starting 2 m 30 s and stop 2 m 50 m.

Thank you once again for the link like everyday is a day of learning on this forum.

    ===============================

I edit this 30 minutes later for completeness. After a cold reboot when I attended the incident above I decided, for the sake of inquistive, 15.7.1 upgrade. I stopped it, 30 years, amd boot 1 m 33 s (I call start on the screen the user PIN, but the black screen did not appear).

I made another stop, 26 s and start (this time I feel it from hard beginning to circle whirling on Windows fill orange paper United wallpaper - no 'white' no screen between the HP logo and this) 26 s!  I pretty much shot down 85% on shut down and improved the startup time of 48%.

I hope that this help guide another.

  • Laptop HP Pavilion 15-n073sl: unable to shut down the pc

Fifteen days ago, my computer (which I've updated for Windows 10 on 16 June) updated itself last built Windows 10, since then 4 times out of 5 I'm not able to close properly.

I close all the programs the I click on start and closing of the option. It starts to shut, but when the screen goes black, it freezes and stuck there with all the leads keybord and internal fan on so I have to force shutdown by the Start button.

I spoke with the support of Microsoft and they told me that it depends on the fact that HP has not released a driver for the new version of Windows 10 (build 1607 14393.187 SO).

... What am I what to do now? I downloaded the update from the HP Support Assistant software, but it is empty of any update. On the page of the driver of my laptop on the HP site, I found some drivers, but I don't know if I have to download them all, or I don't know.

    Hope for more assistance,

    Thanks to that answer.

    Hello

    Try the following.

Again, open settings and select System.  Select food and sleep, and then click additional power settings - in the next window, click on "Choose what the power button" in the left pane.

In the next window, click on "Change settings that are currently unavailable" (close), then Remove the check mark from the box against 'Turn on a quick start (recommended) '.  Click on the button Save the settings, and then close all open windows.  Stop the laptop by right clicking the icon in the Start Menu, select prompt (Admin) and click 'Yes' to the uac prompt.

Type (or copy and paste) the following command (including spaces) and click Enter.

    Shutdown /s /t 0

Start Notepad and when reloaded windows, hold down the Windows key and press R

In the run box, type devmgmt.msc and press ENTER.

In the Device Manager window, expand System devices, and then scroll to the Intel Management Engine Interfaceentry, cela a right click and select Properties.  Select the driver tab and select uninstall driver - and then proceed with the uninstall.

Restart the computer and let Windows idle for 5 to 10 minutes just to give time to reload the driver imei.

Restart the computer again (fast start disabled for the moment leave) and see if it will now shut down properly.

If so, reactivate a quick start and check if it will always stop Ok.

    Kind regards

  • How often should I shut down my PC?

    Hello

I hope you don't mind me asking this question. I could not help but to know, using PC (laptop) is part of daily life, it is sometimes more than 10 hours to continue to run my laptop. So much pressure on it. In general, I'm used to shut down my PC each night before going to sleep and start the next day morning. We know all that I have other options are available also as keep my PC in standby or hibernate instead of shutdown. Now my question is what is the best way to practice in order to keep my PC in good health? I should everyday practical shout down and start over or I can keep it dormant until a few days etc. Which is good for practice? My PC is HP 430.

    Thank you

    Kind regards

    Hello

Check with the HP Support and their documentation online.

There are a lot of opinions, but I prefer the way that you do now. Start and stop

the computer frequently causes the device to heat and cool a lot which is more stress

on the material while leaving work. If you go for 2 + hours power on the monitor
off anyway so you should have white for any period of inactivity. Stop when
It will be on all night is also a good initiative.

  • The computer hangs at "Shutting Down... "only after the installation of the updates for Vista Ultimate x 64 Windows

Hello.  Recently, I have reinstalled the 64 bit version of Windows Vista Ultimate on my computer.  I allow all automatic updates (worth about 450MO) and let it do its thing.  Afterwards, I had to reboot my computer.  He was going smooth until he hit the "Configuring updates... "or something like that.  The circle stopped going around smooth and pauses every second or two.  After about 30 minutes, he went to "Shutting down...". "and I let this go all night.  After 4 p.m., he was still at "Shutting down...". "therefore I kept the button and made a closed hard.  After that I started it up, it would get to the loading screen with the green bars that go everywhere.  It also was not smooth and stopping every second or two.

After about 10 minutes of this, I restarted my computer again, and it still wouldn't work.  I tried to start in safe mode, but it would also stop during the loading of some drivers and not continue.  So I reinstalled Vista again and, of course, was able to get without updates.  I thought it may have been a one time thing, so I did the windows updates again.  This problem repeated itself.  So I reinstalled Vista and am refraining from doing the updates of windows.

I restarted my computer without updates, and it goes well.  It is only after updates where it fails to turn it off and save.  No one knows what is the problem and if there is a solution to this?

    Hi JerryR9190

Thanks for posting on the Microsoft Answers site

Are you Vista to get Service Pack 1 automatically as well?
If so, please try to download/install it yourself and see if that has any effect.
