  • WANTED m6 that no audio output device is installed

Hi, I was looking at a CD on my m6 DESIRE last night and it worked fine.  Today, I have the speaker with a red icon in the lower right corner of the screen and when hovering over it says "no audio output device is installed".  I tried to uninstall the device driver, but that didn't fix it there.

The driver for device "IDT High Definition Audio Codec" under sound, video and game in Device Manager controllers also has a yellow exclamation point.  When I uninstall and reboot, sometimes just with the yellow mark again.  If I try to upgrade the driver, I get an error message "Windows found driver software for your device, but has encountered an error trying to install it."  A device attached to the system does not work.

    Help...

    Installation of this driver fixed the problem: http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?lang=en & cc = US & swItem = ob-109687-1 & jumpid = reg_r1002_usen_c-001_title_r0002

  • Satellite U300-152 - no audio output device is installed

The sounds are works well when I do update windows, update antivirus and updated some software like adobe air and adobe shockwave but when I open the laptop the next morning, there is a red cross marked in the speaker icon on the lower right of the laptop and it says : "no audio output device is installed".

I couldn't find the sound and game controller in Device Manager so I'm frustrated. Its been 3 days now, I use the laptop without noise.

Can you please help me in this matter?

My laptop is Toshiba Satellite U300-152
Windows 7 Ultimate but not pre-installed (Vista Home has been the pre-installed)

I tried to download the latest audio driver from realtek high defintion, but its still does not. Tried several restarts, System Restore, disable antivirus but does not yet.

I don't know what can be the problem but the fact is that updates Windows update offers some drivers and, in general, you should not install their Mr. with other words, you should only use the drivers from Toshiba.

What can you do now? Have you tried to reduce the OS to an earlier time (before installing updates) and check the functionality?

One last thing. Software driver Sound should start with Windows, then please check MSCONFIG > startup if the sound software is listed and enabled it.

  • Equium L350D - no audio output device is installed

    Hello

I hope someone can help with this.
I recently had to use the recovery with my Equium L3510D disc and then I had some problems.
Initially, the wireless card did not work.

Now, he says: "no audio output device is installed".
I had to do all this when I bought the laptop and it was not the problem that made me use the recovery disc.

    I hope someone can help!

    See you soon

    Hello

Check your device manager if there is some yellow exclamation points next to the sound card. Maybe you will find also a few unknown devices

In this case it would means that you're talking about card driver is not installed correctly.
I would say that you should visit the Toshiba driver page, choose your model of laptop, download the audio driver and reinstall it again.

    Check it out!

  • No Audio output device is installed (Windows 10 64 bit, HP Pavilion 500 series)

    Model number: 500-007 a

    Operating system: 10 64-bit Windows

Description of the problem: no sound.

    Hello

I came from TenForums forum, hoping to find a solution to the problem of noise from my office.

Status of the solution of the problem is at: http://www.tenforums.com/drivers-hardware/45369-no-audio-output-device-installed.html

When I move my cursor on the audio icon on the corner at the bottom right of the screen, the message of the index says "no Audio output device is installed". By clicking on the audio icon so that windows are trying to solve the problem will not solve the problem.

In Device Manager, I have 2 "High definition audio controller" that display a yellow "!" mark on them. Both controllers are on the devices tab of system.

As you can see in the picture above, there is no tab "audio, video controller and game."

How can I get my sound back?

    Thank you.

    You are the very welcome.

What worries me is that your device manager does not have the IDT HD audio listed under sound video and game controllers Device Manager.

Normally, when you install W10, the IDT HD audio device is in the list, and it just doesn't work.

You can try reinstalling W10 and see what happens.

  • No Audio output device is installed - Inspiron 15R 5510-2540

    Hey there,

Audio no longer works on my laptop last week, couldn't make it work again by re install drivers or anything, so I just went and did a reset.

Loaded everything now, and he always says "no Audio output device is installed", even though Device Manager displays "Intel(r) Audio display" under "audio, video and game controllers".

Try to install the audio drivers of IDT 92HD79B1 http://www.dell.com/support/drivers/us/en/19/ServiceTag/ maintain the label removed by privacy policy > came up with the error "the hardware found is not supported by this package IDT. The installation will be interrupted.

The laptop is out of warranty.

    Any ideas?

    LukeRodgers90
Although Device Manager displays "Intel(r) Audio display" under "audio, video and game controllers".

It's probably the HDMI audio driver.

    LukeRodgers90
I just went and did a reset.

You hear you returned the laptop to original factory using Dell Factory Image Restore or other means Setup (what exactly?)? If using Factory Image Restore didn't fix the problem and you have tested the audio immediately before going online and perform updates, you have a hardware failure. Factory Image Restore is the gold standard to determine whether a problem is the result of a hardware or software failure.

  • No Audio output device is installed - but it is solid

    Hi all

I'm using a Thinkpad T420 Windows 7 x 64. Since yesterday, I recognized the symbol small speaker in the tray has a red x and says no Audio output device is installed. It's embarrassing, because the laptop and all speakers I connected on the work of the Audio Port. Whenever I click on the symbol, it will accompany the troubleshooting but can not find any error. The problem is, that normally I adjust the sound through this symbol, but this adjustment bar will appear only the resolution of the problems.

I tried to reinstall the device, without change. I tried to install the latest driver for Lenovo, but Windows did not subsequently and went back to the previous driver version. I stop and start the Windows Audio Service, no change... ideas?

    Hi Tobias,.

Thanks for posting back. I appreciate your response and efforts.

The error occurs because windows updates.

    Method 1:

I suggest you to perform automatic troubleshooting on the Microsoft Web site.

Check the link below for troubleshooting:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-in/Windows/Windows-Update-error-800b0100#1TC=Windows-7

Please find trouble automatic in the paragraph and click on it and it will prompt you to save or run.

Click Run and troubleshooting can resolve the error.

    Method 2:

Download drivers Conexant Audio 20672 Smart HD Audio from the manufacturer's Web site.

Visit the following link to download:

    http://support.Lenovo.com/us/en/downloads/ds014918

    Method 3:

I also suggest you to reinstall the audio drivers.

You must be logged in as an administrator to perform these steps.

Enter in the right edge of the screen and then click on search.

(If you use a mouse, point to the lower right of the screen, move the mouse to the top and then click Find.)

Enter the Device Manager in the start search box and press or click on Device Manager.

In the list of the categories of material, double click or double-click the category of in that your device is located and then double click or double-click the device you want. For example, to view your video card, press or click on graphics cards and then double click or double-click the name of the video card.

Press or click on the driver tab, press or click on put updated driver and then follow the instructions. Administrator permission required (you may be prompted for an administrator password or confirm your choice).

    Hope that works!

To get help, after return. We will be happy to help you.

    Thank you

  • "No Audio output device is installed" after installing Windows 7

    • I installed my windows 7 64-bit today (previously used 7 ultimate, which is the first operating system, I used on this computer because it is fairly new) and after installing some things, trying to get internet work etc. I know that my sound is not working. There is a small speaker symbol with a small red circle with a white cross on it that says "no Audio output device is installed." When I go over it. Troubleshooting comes up with nothing. I tried searching forums but the suggestions I've found is came up with nothing. I tried to go into Device Manager, re-installing drivers there and display hidden devices. I have also shown disabled/disconnected devices in the menu "playback devices". I use headphones instead of speakers (because I do not have all the speakers) and while I got ultimate they worked only when it is connected to the rear. My friend computer, which helped me to set up my computer says that it was a problem with the ultimate place of my computer, do not know if this is related but thought better include it anyway. Your help is much appreciated, thank you in advance.

I have no sound Windows 7 either. I just upgraded from XP Home to Windows 7 Home Premium 32 bit on a Virgin Media freedom Netbook. Everything except playing the sounds works perfectly.

I checked in the Device Manager. An audio device high definition is installed. There is a recording device installed also. However, no midi playback is available.

I tried an update and uninstalled and reinstalled automatically. No joy.

I understand that Microsoft GS Wavetable Synth V1.1.  is a software-only device for playback. It is not a hardware driver. I know that it is present on the netbook because Tuneup 2010 detected it as peripheral to read. However Windows 7 has not detected. Is there a Windows 7 compatible driver for this? If not, is a coming soon?

PS I've restored temporarily XP from an Acronis backup image. Sound worked perfectly as before, so I know there is no hardware problems

You will need to keep the control working drivers for the audio device. Win 7 will not play sounds without a.

  • "No Audio output device is installed" on Dell 6400 with Vista Business

Recently, I noticed that I can't have no sound on my Dell Inspiron 6400. The speaker on the task bar icon now says "no Audio output device is installed". I tried to uninstall and reinstall the driver and restart the computer. In my view, that the cause may be either Vista service pack SP1 (I tried your suggested corrections) or the recent installation of the "IDT - Audio - IDT High Definition Audio Codec" via Windows Update. I don't know what to do next short of reinstalling Vista. My terms of reference are:

    Windows Vista Business 32-bit

1.76 ghz Intel Core 2 Duo processor

    2 GB of Ram

    integrated graphics Intel 945

I also have the "standard" integrated sound card I didn't have any special, set.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

  • Audio driver problem, I get error "no audio output device is installed".

My laptop made a weird noise, after that my laptop suddenly is not all sounds more. When I check the audio it says "no audio output device is installed". I been looking for this difficulty in the last days and found no problems. I tried to reinstall my audio driver (Realtek), but then an error occurred. It says 'extended attributes are incompatible. Help, please!

    Farel salvation,

Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

    I understand that you no longer have sound in Windows 8 and you also tried to re - install the audio driver. I appreciate the efforts made in the patches that you have already tried. Let me ask you;

    • What is the brand and model of the computer?

There could be several reasons for this cause and diagnose the problem, we will try the following methods and check.

Method 1: Run the audio Troubleshooter

A convenience store is an automated tool that can find and automatically fix problems with your PC. Audio troubleshooting can diagnose and troubleshoot equipment and playback of sounds common.

Method 2: Look for important and recommended updates by using Windows Update

    1. Drag from the right edge of the screen, tap settings, and then tap Change PC settings.
(If you use a mouse, point to the lower right of the screen, move the mouse to the top, click settingsand then click change PC settings).
    2. Press or click update and recoveryand press or click on Windows Update.

    3. Press or click check now.

    4. If there are updates available, press or click on the link and then press or click on install.

Windows Update will tell you if the updates have been installed correctly.

To check the optional updates by using Windows Update:

    1. Drag from the right edge of the screen, tap settings, and then tap Change PC settings.
(If you use a mouse, point to the lower right of the screen, move the mouse to the top, click settingsand then click change PC settings).

    2. Press or click update and recovery , and then press or click on Windows Update.

    3. Press or click see detailsand press or click find updates. (If you can't see the details, it are not updated optional available.)

    4. Under option, tap or click the update you want to install, and then click install.

Read and accept the terms of the license and then press or click on Finish if the update requires it. You may be prompted for an administrator password or to confirm your choice.

Method 3: Install the software from the manufacturer of the device. If your device is equipped with a disk, this disk can contain software that installs a driver for the device.

    Method 4:

1 right-click the volume in the taskbar icon, and select sounds
    2. scroll down about 3/4 on the events program: the list and select the option that says Windows user account control
    3. change the sounds: option ( no), and then click OK

Hope this information is useful. Please feel free to answer in the case where you are facing in the future other problems with Windows.
