Thunderbird no longer responds

I've used TB without problem for many years. Yesterday when I launched the app that I have to enter my password (password is) then he hooked (no response).

Released market - this time I had only to half the password entered hung.

Judge again. Base model is that I have a couple of seconds after launch and then it crashes.

This problem persists in Mode safe mode, with all disabled add-ons and reset toolbars.
There are no McAfee product on my machine (WIN 7 pro) and 'new' happened that could affect TB.

Is there an external tool, that I can use to try to compact/repair records or should I just try a re-install? Are there other options?

Update: I left the machine during the night with TB still in his State "not responding".

Answered by CT this morning (9 hours later). I * think * it might have been compact folders because none of them now need to compaction? 'S done it everything it did.

Whatever it is, TB has fixed as if by magic itself!
