PCoIP disconnect session

Hi guys,.

I use view Horizon 5.3.2 and it works fine. I improved environment seen 6.2.0 build-3005368 and left of the VDI (linked clones), running on former agent 5.3.2.1887719 that everything was still working as usual. So I decided to upgrade my vCenter and ESXi environment 6.0 which was pretty smooth. I tried to connect to my VDI by PCoIP/Blast (HTML), but it disconnects after showing black screen.

After that, I checked that my VM VDI of machine tools have been upgraded to the latest version. I removed VM Tools and also deleted view Agent. VMTool agent and view reinstalled in order so I can reconstruct VDI, but the problem is still there.

I caught pcoip_server newspapers, but I can't find out what is causing the problem.

Could someone please look at the newspapers attached pcoip_server and see what might be the reason for the PCoIP or Blast session disconnects.

Kind regards

Mobin

Hi seb,

Errors in the logs as the problem described in this article KB VMware: VMware View desktop connection causes a black screen

It seems that the problem is an incompatibility with the graphics drivers between the Agent to view old and VM tools. Can help to upgrade the Agent version 6.x article view.

I hope it helps.

See you soon,.

  • Use of EI UC derives 100% on a disconnected session

    Hi all

(I'm getting you connected an SR for this, but MyVMware is not complete this if just post here to cover the basics)

Infrastructure: View 6.0 on vSphere 5.5.0. Virtual desktop Windows 8.1 with view Agent 6.

    Quick summary:

If a user disconnects from PCoIP session leave IE open with a HTML5 page based in the foreground, CPU reaches and maintains 100% usage. When the user reconnects, use fall back to normal levels.

Support Microsoft made marks on the process IE DCOMP and conclusions are below.

It is very well leaving reduced IE when a user disconnects. Firefox/Chrome also do not show this, only IE.

    Response from Microsoft support:

"The trace shows IE is awaiting confirmation of package ID."

    + 0 x 050 m_currentBatchId: 0x24bb57dc

    + 0 x 054-m_lastConfirmedBatchId: 0x20e335b0

    + 0 x 058 m_lastSurfaceProcessedBatchId: 0x20e335b0

The current package ID continues to increase, but the last confirmed batch is never updated until the user session of Gary took over. The confirmation ID is increased from 0x20e335b0 to 0x24bb57da all of a sudden. After that, the interface thread user IE jumped the loop and take it back to normal.

In conclusion, we have some important conclusions:

    • The IPS of the CPU is observed after that the user is disconnected from the session, the monitoring tool will give the warning message.

    • Opening session with another user, the CPU spike persists.

    • When the disconnected session is resumed, THE CPU down to normal.

    • However, when you disconnect the session with IE Windows, the CPU soon increased to 100%.

    • We have also done a test to minimize IE window before disconnecting the session, then the CPU is normal and the problem does not happen.

The halde we collected today shows exactly the same problem as the previous shocks. Customer DCOMP is waiting for the confirmation ID to update. It seems that the session VDI is disconnected, DWM stops processing of the image content until the user session is active again. »

Is there something that can be done on the side of the Horizon Agent (via the strategy, perhaps) that might mitigate it?

    Thank you

    NickB

Sorry, I don't think that there is something we can do right here - the product explicitly disconnects the session, and there is no sure way of that off. A workaround may be possible - if you use 6.0, you can use CommandsToRunOnDisconnect and build a script to minimize all the Windows IE. See the Center of Documentation of VMware View 5.0

  • PCOIP disconnects when you connect with SCCM 2012

We have two servers view 5.2.0 our handling connections. The machines have 5.2.0 Agent and the client is 5.3.0. We just migrate all our users on these new servers and decided to use pcoip as it is by default, but now, when we use SCCM 2012 to support our users as soon as we can connect with the remote, it disconnects the user. When the user connects with RDP we don't have any problems. Is this a limitation with PCOIP?

  • VMware View 4.5 - disconnected sessions connect to black screen or simply close after 5 seconds...

In collaboration with VMware View 4.5 using images of Windows XP Pro SP3 and connection through PCoIP, everything works perfectly on cloned VMs with the exception of reconnects.

If I have a user disconnect from their office and then tries to reconnect to the desktop, the screen will be black, if you act quickly, you can retrieve the screen if you enter any keyboard input, but it will come back as if CTRL-ALT-DEL was pressed as I see the pop-up "Windows Security".  I checked for the screensavers screen or something like that and nothing so far.

Do not have this problem in 4.0.1.

    Any help would be appreciated!

You have the same problem with a desktop XP vanilla without modification? Are there of the sureties or banner of the GPO applied to these desktop computers?

May panic if there is a logon banner.

  • recording of errors on a disconnected session database connection?

    Database B is:
    Oracle Database 10g Enterprise Edition Release 10.2.0.5.0 - 64bi

I have an A data source table and target a table in database B

I have a package compiled into database B, which moves the data from A to B.

that runs the package isn't (and shouldn't really) have permissions to see anything, except that the database module B

The session needs to see the package only. The very idea of the packaging must ensure that the session is not directly access the target table. The package makes the INSERT in the target_table and can also insert into the table of logging of errors.

You are testing with the SQL commands outside of the package must be able to access the target table and the table of logging of errors. But once you put in a package, the package (probably in the schema to which belongs the target table and the table of logging of errors) will access tables.

to change the schedule session inactive

    ALTER system set session_idle_limit ;

    for example

    login password admin on localhost.
    ALTER system set session_idle_limit 5 minutes;
    disconnection;

Remember that this will apply to all applications.

You also have the option as

    alter system disconnect session.

    or

change the system disconnect session by user .

I try to uninstall/install VMWare View Agent on the virtual machine.

Delete and create the virtual machine in the view manager.

Restart the virtual machine and the server of the display manager

    Nothing changes.

    You have an idea?

    Thank you.

You have recently upgraded your ESX hosts to the U2 version? If so, that breaks PCoIP. There is an article with a link to d/l a package of updated tools that solves this problem.

  • How can I ensure that users log out of the desktop sessions remotely instead of just close the RDP window?

    Hello

I want to apply GPOS "set the time limit for disconnected sessions" on windows 2000 and NT.

I apply this to my clients through DC 2008r2.

Computer ordinateur\modeles of userconfiguration\administrative Windows\Services Office Session Office at distance\delais

But I see this policy supported by "at least Windows XP Professional or Windows Server 2003 family"

I need your help to implement this policy to the old version of windows, including windows 2000, NT.

Our environment has windows 2012, 2008, 2003, 2000 and NT

Also inform me of all the other stuff that I can use to make sure that users are disconnected from the RDP sessions disconnected.

Please answer as soon as possible...

    Kind regards

  • Self-closing session after a certain period of time...?

    Hello

I started out our VDI in public which is used by our students, I noticed the majority of our students, they are not logoff session and they just disconnect the session. It is management overhead for the helpdesk guys visit the disconnecting Desktop Group and forcibility all unplugged session of the Group of students.

Is there a way I can auto disconnect all disconnected sessions who spent 15/30 minutes?

If not, I'm sure this can be using vWorkspace PowerShell, if the answer to this question No. and Yes for the PowerShell, can you please tell me to download PowerShell link?

    Kind regards

    Hello

    Respond to this request;

Apply a setting to force the disconnection of the services Terminal Server sessions disconnected after a period of downtime of group policy.

-Open the Group Policy Editor and select an appropriate GPO, or create a new if necessary.

-Navigate to computer configuration | Policies | Administrative templates | Windows components | Remote Desktop services | Remote Desktop Session host | Session time limits

-Locate the "Time limit for disconnected sessions" setting enable this policy setting

-In the drop-down list, select the time limit for disconnected sessions

If you enable this policy setting, disconnected sessions are deleted from the server after the specified time interval. To apply the default behavior for disconnected sessions are maintained for an unlimited time, select never. If you have a console session, the disconnected session time limits do not apply.

  • To reconnect to a session - vWorkspace 7.6

I have a situation that sometimes my connection broker version 7.6 only not reconnected a user to a disconnected session on a host of RDS, instead he create a new session on the other host of farm.

Someone deal with this kind of error before?

    Respect,

    Robert

    Hello Robert,.

Normally the cause for this is that the standard version of 7.6 had a problem recognizing the user name different types to the same user.

For example, we monitor users like user domain\username

So, if your user name logged in as

    Domain.local\Username

    or

    [email protected]

You would think it is another user and therefore we place the disconnected session.

We have fixed since a long time this question. This hotfix must be installed on all the brokers of your connection and that it will solve this problem.
