  In general, I have no problems to install Microsoft, Corel, product HP software products products AV, dozens of others products of companies on my computer Windows 7 Home Premium. I never had problems installing Adobe products on ME, XP, Vista.   There is clearly something wrong with the installation program Adobe because Adobe products are the only products that can not be installed.

  Why is it so difficult tp install Adobe products on a Windows 7 system?

  Anyone know what is happening?

  To add to what has been written, install programs as an administrator

  usually results in fewer problems. Regardless if the account has

  permissions administrative, should always right click on the installer and run as administrator.

  What you're saying, the problem must be something special on your computer.

  Adobe Reader 5 was released in early 2001, before Windows XP.  I can't imagine that it will work correctly on Windows 7.

  Nor will it read more advanced PDF documents (forms, etc.).

However, the fingerprint reader is listed as being incompatible with Windows 8. I went to the homepage of the Digital Persona and they no longer support consumer products. Result is, I fight a machine from Dell which is less than 2 years old and is loaded with a piece of software is no longer supported by the vendor. Anyone have any suggestions on alternative software that will allow the fingerprint reader to work with Windows 8?

  Please note that Windows OS 8.1 has a built-in pdf reader. I hope that you do not confuse with Adobe Reader.

  If you have Adobe Reader installed on your machine, go to the Help menu and then click on "Check for updates".

  You can also install the latest version of Adobe Reader using this link: Adobe Acrobat Reader DC install for all versions ; It would automatically replace the previous version.
