  Sounds like a Windows problem. Try right-clicking and select ALWAYS open with feature. Who is supposed to fix the link. If this does not work, open the type of file under TOOLS menu > Folder Options (display XP, can be different in VISTA). If you select advanced as PDF, you get a link under the open > modify something like "c:\adobeapp\acrobat 5.0\Acrobat\Acrobat.exe" '%1 '. The comment you make looks like %1 or quotes are missing.   I received a password via email protected pdf that I opened in adobe acrobat ms on my ipad. I am prompted for a password that I go and can then open the PDF very well. However, I want to annotate the pdf document, but get the following message appears when I try to select the comment function, "restricted document: this tool is not available because document security settings.

  If I open the document on a windows device by using the adobe reader software, I can save and make fine annotations. I don't seem to be able to do it on the mobile app for iPad (Adobe acrobat cc).

  Is there a way around this for the iPad?

  Please provide a detailed description of the problem.

  The contents of the PDF document protected by password is encrypted (so that no one can read the content until the password is entered).

  Mobile products Acrobat DC (for iOS and Android) have the known limit where the changes cannot be saved in encrypted PDF documents.  As a result, users are not able to make changes (addition of comments/annotations or forms) for encrypted PDF documents.

  I am a new user of recent Mac and I have some difficulty with the Pages.

  I'll create a new document and save it as a PDF file (save it to the desktop), when I open it again, it opens with Acrobat Reader and the text released along side this one pane. It does not open a document own stand alone. This cause me a problem when I want to send it as an attachment, as it includes this component, as well as all other toolbars with.

  Any help on this would be appreciated.

  When you send the PDF document as an attachment, it will be sent as a document 'stand alone '. It will be open according to the preferences that are set by the receiving party.

  If you're running Windows (which we don't know), you can try to use this tool first remove all traces of your computer:

  After downloading, restart your computer and run the Setup program before anything else.

  I'm not what you mean... Start by describing what tools or methods that you use to extract these pages.

  What you write in the first sentence is not true, however. In the dialogue window extract Pages, you can choose whether or not to delete the extracted pages of the original file and extract them as individual pages or not. If you UN-select both options, you will get a single file that contains the pages you have checked out, and they will not be deleted from the original file.

  Don't think that will work, but you can drag the tab to a new window. Each window can have a set of tabs.

  It is an XFA file that is not detected by the PDF viewers in the web browser.

  Please right click on this link http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM1344E.pdf & select ' Save As... ', now, to save the PDF file to your desktop & open with Adobe Reader.

  I'm sure that it will work as it worked on my end.

  For troubleshooting, you can disable the Protected Mode (https://helpx.adobe.com/reader/using/protected-mode-windows.html#id_94783) and see if that solves the problem. If the problem persists, please re-enable the Protected Mode to improve safety.

  As the custom field validation script, you can use something like this (of course, adjust the values and the paths of files to match those you want, but retain the syntax of path - as I've used):

  Make sure that check the option to validate the selected value immediately (under properties of the field - Options) to be run as soon as a selection is made.

  Check that Thunderbird knows the correct program to use.
  Tools > Options > Annexes > Incoming tab

  Content type: Adobe Acrobat Document
  To the right is going to be action - click action see a drop down.
  See if there is a specific mention of using "Adobe Reader DC".
  I know that 'use Adobe Reader' is used for older versions of Adobe Reader DC.

  Click on 'Other use' to see a more extensive list of options.
  If you still can't find, click 'Browse '.
  Then you can locate the *.exe to adobe specific dc and click Open
  Click on 'OK's.

  Test again open a pdf document.
