PDF = > Illustrator or InDesign = > PDF

I have Adobe CS4 Premium including Acrobat Pro 9.4.4 running on Mac OS X 10.6.7 on a Mac Pro 3.1 with 8 GB of RAM.  I received a. PDF file as an attachment to an e-mail.  The file contains a floor plan to the floor of a building where I have an office.  The floor plan is more of a simple schema that is a real floor plan.  There is no security issues or copyright issues involved.

I want to display external curves of tiny footprints of a couple of entry doors to my office door, showing people how to navigate the halls to find my office. I will then make a new. PDF file I will attach to emails to clients confirming appointments that will take place in my office.  This will eliminate confusion that some people have in following the instructions written at my office.

I need help on how to take the image of the PDF incoming and place it in another Adobe application like Illustrator 14.0.0 or InDesign 6.0.6 (I use most often) where I can insert the small footprints and then save or export the document updated in PDF format.  Thank you in advance for any help you can give.

Pretty simple since it requires no editing of the actual PDF file.

Create a new file in InDesign, use file > Place to import the PDF, add your fingerprints no, use the file > export to export to a new PDF.

  • Blur effect of pixelated Illustrator in InDesign - display problem not Performance!

    Hi people,

When I place Illustrator objects that have a blur (Te outer glow or the Gaussian Blur) shows pixelated in Illustrator.

Desplay-Peformance is still set to high quality. And there's actually even like that when you export in png.

    Illustrator:

    Illustrator.PNG

    InDesign:

    InDesign.png

    Thanks for the help!

    Robert

What is the resolution of your pixelation effect? Even if Illustrator creates vectors, raster effect are not vectors. You have either to effect settings low raster in InDesign, or you put the image scaling in InDesign or you used an EPS (which should not be used with InDesign) instead of a file HAVE or PDF/X-4.

When you work with Illustrator, don't use PNG for InDesign, use HAVE or PDF/X-4. How comes your PNG into the game?

  • Creation of illustrator in indesign textframe

    Hello guys,.

I have to reproduce executives of related texts an illustrator document (via a script) on an indesign document. Even if I imported all the properties of the text frames linked HERE (via a file xml - including, the position and the size of the textframe, font properties, kerning, tracking, leading values) and created exactly the same textframe and put in the same formatted text, the text in the contexts of texts linked indd is not always visible in the new textframe.

    Example below-

(Source document HAVE): (Destination INDD Document):

    aiframe.PNGinddframe.PNG

The 'BB' does not appear in the indesign document.  The text becomes visible only when I change the size of the textframe indd, which is larger than the original size.

    inddframe2.PNG

I would be grateful if someone can help out me.

    Thanking you in advance

Illustrator or Photoshop on one side and InDesign or InCopy, on the other side must complete different text engines which are not compatible with each other. InDesign has a lot more features text as Illustrator and Illustrator allows text without a frame which supports not InDesign. So, you will not be able to do.

Another problem is that you focus on the properties of character, but there are more important and influential paragraph properties to consider.

Is the closest, you just use a common library between Illustrator and InDesign. You can place text to a programme in a CC library and use it more often in the other application, but still there are a lot of limitations.

If you need items normally created in Illustrator, you must save the file under I or PDF/X-4 and put it (and the best way is to connect) in InDesign.

  • Color change of values between Illustrator and InDesign

I have googled and looked here for an answer to my question, but have not been able to find anything.

I designed several pieces of encumbered asset, all using the same unique color. Some of the pieces I designed in Illustrator and the other in InDesign.

The problem is, when I copy and paste the yellow color value (if it is RGB or CMYK - I tried both ways), it CHANGES between Illustrator and InDesign. The color stays the same between Illustrator documents, but if I C + P InDesign - or vice versa-, the color value change literally before my eyes. And I don't want to say 'looks like' different, real changes in number.

    Here's a real example:

Call a box in Illustrator and chose the color #f8f1e0 / 2% 3% 12% 0%. Call a box in InDesign, C + P had the values of color in there, and it DID change the color appropriate for a moment. You click OK. Click New in the color picker and color is now #f8f1e1 / 2% 3% 11% 0%.

If it is relevant, it seems that the color will change to a slightly darker every time.

And Yes, the two documents has STARTED OUT as CMYK documents and stayed like that. I also have my color sync via Bridge. I'm working on CC 2015 and all programs are up to date.

Any idea of what could happen? Thank you in advance.

ETA: Okay, I just chose preview overprinting in Illustrator and also changed the color of #f8f1e0 to #f8f1e1. I see now this is not a malfunction of the program, but can someone explain WHY this happens? I'm still new to color management and it's quite confusing for me. Thank you once again.

ETA: thing: when I save the InDesign document to readable PDF and then pull it in Illustrator, the color is now #f8f2e2, even when you preview overprinting.

Hexadecimal values are RGB color, so if you plug one in the color chart the resulting CMYK values are a conversion of the color management of the profile the document CMYK document RGB profile. You will get different CMYK conversions according to the profile source RGB, CMYK destination profile, intend to color and compensation of the black point used for the conversion.

In addition the InDesign documents can have colors RGB and CMYK with CMYK and RGB profiles assigned that do not necessarily correspond to the color settings work profiles, in order to sync'ng your color settings may not get everything to match.

Ultimately if you want to match the CMYK color or nuances between AI and ID, make sure you document assigned CMYK profile matching (Edit > assign profile...) and enter CMYK and hex does not values

  • CS3 - Illustrator and InDesign closed unexpectedly when you try to print

    Hello.

I posted this on the forum of the Illustrator as well.

I just bought a new iMac i7 running OS x 10.7.2. I reinstalled my version of CS3 and I can't open all the elements - Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign.

The problem I have is that Illustrator and InDesign quit when I try to print. It happens when I use 'command P' and when I go to the file menu. Photoshop is not quit during printing.

I can make the files PDF files and I can print those (although sometimes the PDF will not print through my RIP software).

Operating system is updated to the latest version. All the printer software and RIP is the latest version. InDesign has also two thimes when I was just by selecting a line of type. I have

He did several times during the selection of the same line. I restarted the Mac and everything seems OK with it now, but I still can't print.

Can anyone shed some light on this? I tried Adobe and they do no more than CS3 and their technical service support suggetsed I try this forum.

I don't want the costs of upgrading my CS3 for now.

    Thank you

  • Change my plan of Adobe Creative Cloud to Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign only

    Hello

I am currently on creatively Cloud subscription (one year) complete but want to "downgrade" the plan I use not anywhere near any of the application in the plan.  What I'm after is a plan that would include Photoshop, Illustrator and Indesign only, the rest I need, and why pay a lot for the apps that I will never use isn't something I want to do.

If someone could give me an idea where I might find a plan like this, or contact information for Adobe Creative Cloud, I would be very grateful.

    Kind regards

  • Illustrator and inDesign: over-pants D500 or over-pants D700?

I am looking to buy a new Mac Pro. I was wondering if I should choose the Dual AMD over-pants D700 with 6 GB memory GDDR5 or the Dual AMD over-pants D500 with 3 GB memory GDDR5. The Mac will run for the most part, Illustrator and InDesign and used to create a POS, signage and vehicle graphics. I do not create or edit video files or 3D. I guess that to put it more simply, Illustrator and inDesign will benefit from the additional resources available on the D700 over-pants?

If you're just doing 2D work, no, not by any means. up to a high level of complexity, you can get away with a lot less.

I've updated, dreamweaver, photoshop, illustrator and indesign, but Creative cloud says I have the latest version ot the apps, there is no new functionality in applications and the version number remains "2015.0.0" for each of them. Someone knows how can I get real updates?

I had a plan that was built to use about 5 total programs, mainly Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign, but now I see not as an option and I'm a graphic artist, not a photographer, and I don't want to have to buy subscriptions to each individually... is possible to retrieve the map I had? Hello

I am a member of a nonprofit organization called missing you. I was wondering if that counts as a business?

First, I need the programs to design a logo, maps and photos for projects for this organization.

I am also a student via tuttering House. It's an official teaching via cva (centrum voor contact). It's 18 months of training. Is this a valid education so I can download the program as a student?

I wonder what's the best price for illustrator and Indesign programs?
