I start to play a MMO and he says my driver is low level. She still plays. There is no newer driver on the HP website and I can't load new driver Intel that HP has installed a driver(for stability) custom

A more recent MMO starts in April with graphics much higher. I was told that the video card which is on board the system will probably confine myself to the middle level graphics on this game. So I am looking to update my video card. I understand there are limits on what can be installed due to having only a 460W PSU.

Can anyone recommend a new video card?

    My limit is $300

Thanks for any help you can give.

    Hello

This Sapphire 6850 2 GB so you can find again it might be useful to review.

When you want to use 3 monitors then one of the monitors must be native display port or you will need a AMD validated active display port dongle with AMD Eyefinity.

  • Memory card recommendation

I'm about to get a 5 d Mark III and am looking for a recommendation on the memory cards. I remember reading that the Mark III wrote to the slower speed of 2 cards.  Is this correct?

I'll use the camera for General, non-professional photos.

    Steve F

The CF card slot is a slot of UDMA7 (it is very fast).  But the extremely fast technology for SD cards is called UHS1 and the SD card on a 5 d III is not a location of UHS1.

The standard of UHS1 was very new to roughly the time that the 5 d III is released, so depending on when all the engineering on this body has been finalized (well before it goes into mass production) if the standard of UHS1 was not far enough along, we understand why the 5 d III didn't.  Each Canon EOS camera that came out since (which uses SD cards) using UHS1 technology.

But this isn't the weird bit.  The weird bit is, several photographers say have tested this (I didn't) and demand, is that even if you configure the 5 d III to write exclusively in the slot for CF card and ignore the SD slot, simply having an SD card inserted into this cause slow write speed (it slows down at a speed "as if" he wrote in the DD even if he is ignorant of the SD card.)  I can only imagine that they are both connected to the same "bus" IO and Canon slows the bus for the lowest common denominator, if the SD card is present.

These photographers argue that if you're shooting fast action photography, eject the SD card and only use a CF UDMA7 card - and your writing will finish faster so your camera erases the fast internal buffer and is therefore ready to fire executives earlier.

I have not checked myself and have not read all the articles that display specific data (how many continuous burst for RAW images I can shoot with just a CF card, vs a CF and SD card times in camera before the buffer fills and the framerate slows down.?)

  • video card (recommended 300 watts) with the power supply only of 280 watts max.

What are the risks of having a video card which recommends 300 watts connected to a computer that has only 280 watts? The only risk I know is maybe crashing, freezing and restarting the computer. It will damage also any hardware in the computer?

Yes, you may damage other components as well as the video card. It is quite inexpensive and easy enough to replace a power supply with a new supporting material you want to run. MS - MVP - Elephant Boy computers - don't panic!

  • The wireless card recommendations

I have a card with wireless Netgear WG311v3 I thought to upgrade to Windows 7 64 bit. I used the Upgrade Advisor and this card is not compatible with Windows 7 64. Can someone recommend a good card quality/reliability. It doesn't have to be the same brand. This map also has a laborious procedure to update, requiring the card to remove in the update procedure. I'd prefer a card that doesn't have to be removed to be updated.

  • Office PRE8 card recommendations?

    Hello world

After the execution of many problems with PRE8 (and my computer in general), I have the opportunity to buy a new computer this year. We are primarily looking for Dell, and I'm not sure if it would consider buying another brand, but I might do the trick for it 100%. I was pushed new video equipment and I quickly realize that even our new computers cannot handle it.

I'd definitely get a desktop, and little matter if it comes with a monitor or not. I think that we'll upgrade all of our systems within the year to Windows 7. (Now we have Vista and we are running XP. If she is still popular to run XP there is a possibility that we would stick with it. I don't know if it would make a difference.)

I'm still pretty much a beginner until all specifications go (the last time I bought a computer for me was about 5 years ago, and that was just for personal use, not not video editing or something like that).

    1. I think minumum 4 GB RAM - will it be enough? More is probably better, but I also have to take into account in the cost.

    2. a hard drive of 250 GB be enough? I have to get even more?

3 will have several hard drives are equipped with a computer set or I will have to add on separately?

    4. graphics/video card - that's something I don't know. Any recommendations? All the cards, I should steer clear of?

5 processor... Personally, I like to stay away from Celeron. Not to mention that any other suggestions?

    6. everything I need to know?

Another thing to consider is that almost all of my files in addition to the video files are on a network share, so I did not Word documents random or presentations cluttering up my hard drives. This allowed me to use only 40 GB on this computer.

I work for a non-profit and we were buying cheaper computers out there. They know that we have to invest a little more if we want to continue the video editing, but of course we prefer to get the best deal. However, I don't know what the price limit is at this stage.

Any suggestions would be helpful! Thank you!

This is a very long thread, Hunt. Can us translate it?

For the record, I'd go with at least a 2.88 ghz dual-core and 4 GB of RAM. Windows 7, 32bits ideally for the reasons you cite. A 128 meg video card is certainly enough. And I'd go with at least 500 GB of hard drive space - however, at today's prices, why not go for a terrabyte! Video consumes many gigs of space. You can never have too - but it's amazing how quickly 250 concerts wears.

Also, remember that your camcorder is an essential part of this equation. You will have a much more satisfying experience if you use a camera that is designed for editing: a miniDV, a HDV tape or an AVCHD.

But if you go with a camcorder AVCHD Disc hard hi-def, you might want to double down on the processor. Opt for a quad-core processor. AVCHD can weigh down even the fastest PC.

  • Workstation XW4300: xw4300 will not work with the recommended graphics card (Nvidia Quadro FX 3400)

I installed a graphics card hoping to update my computer.  The Nvidia Quadro FX 3400 was the highest assigned

graphics card recommended for the workstation xw4300 system HP specifications page.  My system

has a 460W power supply and I connected the cable 6-pin on the map and the map pins in the PCIe x 16 slot where

    the old card was.

When I turned on the machine, I don't have even get a bios message or welcome screen.  All black.  But on all 10

seconds, the power would cycle off and then come back.  HP says that this map is supposed to work with my machine!

This card appears, making it non-functional.

    Any ideas?

I ended up going with the Nvidia Quadro FX 1400 card.  He is listed as 75W and the map of 'medium' recommended for this xw4300 system.  I paid 10 dollars for it on eBay and it works great.  Do not use the Quadro FX 3400 map even if it is recommended by HP for this machine.  Food can't support.

A witch hunt.  Equipment old and new software don't always play nice.  My machine has a new installation of Windows 7 Pro 64 bit on it, and running Windows Experience Index gives me the blue screen of death.  I put a meter on the power during the test problems... No..  It's a kind of driver incompatibility.  Win 7 says that the driver is the last, but he chokes on the

test the index.  Funny irony is that I ran other tests which include benchmarking 3D rendering and nothing, but the Microsoft Windows Experience Index test stifles this card.  How about you do not run the Microsoft test to improve my Windows experience.  :/  Go figure.

This card is older hardware, and because of that I don't have hope than Nvidia or Microsoft to make Windows experience test runs correctly with win7 64 OS.  Sounds like HP.

Here's the kudo: the guy on eBay who I bought the card quickly refunded my money when he learned about the Blue error screen of death in Windows performance index test, so I did a free card.  I'll send her money

Back to him.  I've never met anyone so accommodating.  These companies could take a lesson from that on what customer service means.  That's how you get regular customers.

  • Recommended graphics card for HP Pavilion p6644y Special Edition

I bought the above refurbished PC and love it. The exception is not graphics card for games. He has (1) PCIe X 16 vacant slot and I need to know what (games) graphics card recommend in addition to this power supply upgrade would be needed. I was check merchants online, but there is so much new and all the days to come. I'm leaning towards NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560, which just came out. Please notify. Thank you!

    Titelilidu72200, welcome to the forum.

I like the graphics cards XFX, BFG, EVGA, Sapphire and PNY in that order.  This preference has come from many years of research and visit the amateur/gamer forums.  This video card requires 500W of power and is 9 "long.  I normally recommend staying less than 9 "long.  This ensures that it will not go in the space provided.

For what is a power supply, I love OCZ and Corsair.  They are very good amateur/gamer manufacturers.  Their products will provide your system with clean and stable energy.  You must measure the existing PSU and compare them to the one you choose.  This ensures that the other is insert in space.  You can't choose this card, but it's a good example of what you need, except for the length.

Consult this publication documentfor more information.  Measure carefully and look for obstructions of the motherboard when you use a card double wide.

    ' HP ' how-to ' articles should be useful.

Sapphire 6850will work for Diablo 3.  This 6850 is 8.5 inches in length.  It's $130 after rebate.

  • Update card video for HPE H8-1221

I want to improve my systems video card which is currently a Radeon HD Eyefinity 7570. The motherboard is a H-Joshua-H61-Μatx according to the number of model here. Recently, I bought a GeForce GTX 760 TI that wouldn't work. I followed all the instructions and did some research online and found that it was perhaps because of the older generation. But to look into my motherboard, it apparently has the right port PCI express * 16 (Gen2.0).

There is currently no upgrade of the BIOS that I can find on there and I really want to upgrade this old Radeon. I would appreciate a list or a compatible graphics cards recommendation so I don't have to keep purchase and installation of these devices

    Hello

The NVIDIA GTX 760 won't run on your PC with BIOS version 7.  RMA graphics cards as being not not compatible.  Try one of the graphcis cards below.  If you can't find the exact model on NewEgg then try Tiger Direct or Amazon.

MSI NVIDIA GTX N750 TI and the MSI GTX N750 TF
