PDF read IE Add-In install only
Hello
My company is a little dated with our Adobe Acrobat software, since we use Adobe Acrobat Pro 9. With the release of IE 11, there seems to be a problem with the compatibility between this one and the add-in Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro PDF for Internet Explorer.
In my view, there is a way to install Adobe Reader, then select just the Add-In, I understand that. My question is whether or not there is a way to use a current version of Adobe Reader XI Internet Explorer Add-In itself without installing Adobe Reader. I want to avoid the confusion that my users will inevitably experience if I had to install both programs.
Thanks for any input you may have. I wait with impatience.

I don't think it's possible, or allows, to choose to install only portions of the drive. And indeed, it simply would not work. IE add-ins are not PDF viewers. They are just small things that run Adobe Reader to display the work, and then IE add in ensures that the results themselves in the IE window.

Adobe Reader 'Adobe PDF Reader"Addon when not install using the MSI installer.
I'm trying to do a silent install Adobe Reader - and I noticed that when I use the installer EXE, with no manual configuration, I have the "Adobe PDF Reader" Addon in Internet Explorer (IE11).
When you install the MSI file - with or without transformation, I don't get the addon. I get a "PDF link Helper" but no PDF Reader addon. If anyone has experienced this?
Hi geoffubazi,
The "Adobe PDF Reader" Addon should install even if you run the .msi file.
Check under the add on-"run without authorization" option, as shown in the screenshot below and it will list the "Adobe PDF Reader" Add on

Issues of implementation by default for PDF Reader and Acrobat is installed
Hello
I hope that it will be a pretty simple question to solve if there will be a solution or it be the case that Acrobat and Reader have this conflict and that is like that.
I will describe my situation and what I am trying to accomplish the first. I sometimes need to modify forms on PDF files so I need Acrobat installed. I also need the ability to preview the PDF file in Windows Explorer (I don't have to wait and open Acrobat/Reader whenever I want to check a PDF of sense). Unfortunately, for some reason, install Acrobat does not give me the preview function. I need to install Reader for viewing work. Well now, I need to print PDF forms but with the form fields * only *. Unfortunately here again player does not have this feature. I use Acrobat to do this.
In summary, I need reader to see a preview of a PDF file in Explorer and Acrobat to change forms and print PDF files with the fields of the form only. So, I use that drive for the preview function; It is never actually opened. However, Reader takes upon himself to make the default program for PDF files, which means that I have to 'Open with' on every single PDF, I want to open and print. Acrobat refuses to let be the default program. If I try to change it to Acrobat, it simply returns to the player. I have to be able to use Acrobat as a PDF Viewer by default as the player is installed. I refuse to believe there is not at least a setting somewhere where I can register * force * windows only use the .exe in the Acrobat folder when I try to open a PDF file. That's what I'll get for now this post gets visibility.
Thanks for any help on this.
I FIXED IT! So first I tried to reinstall Acrobat 9 Pro. Oddly, this broke the PDF preview. The preview works through Reader, I didn't, but whatever. Reinstalled Acrobat 9, has not changed the situation. I've uninstalled reader XI and installed the X drive instead. NOW it allows me to choose what I want to manage PDF files when I press this button in the general tab of preferences in Reader. It was certainly a lot more under the hood than to change a program by default because it took a minute to finish.
After you open a Times Reader X, preview began working again and now he recognizes my desire to use Acrobat to open a PDF file and works fine. I don't know if it's a problem with the drive XI or a question seeks to use it and Acrobat 9, but they do not work well together.

Convert editable PDF read-only when the Envoy in an email - JavaScript
I have a real estate company that is trying to have an application that an agent and the customer can fill in the necessary information, press "submit" button, have the javascript code to compose an email with the attached pdf file. Here's the question I'm having: I need to be able to convert the editable PDF reading only so that when the client receives a copy that they can not change the information again.
Here is my code for the Send button javascript:
It's the return of form e-mail. It is hardcoded
to make the form comes back to the same address.
Change of address on your form to match the code below
Email business
var cToAddr = " " [email protected] "; "
First of all, download the customer email CC
var cCCAddr = this.getField("1st_Tenant_Email").value;
If (cCCAddr! = "")
Download now the second email only if it is filled
var cBenAddr = this.getField("2nd_Tenant_Email").value;
If (cBenAddr! = "")
Get now the third E-mail only if it is filled
var cthirdAddr = this.getField("3rd_Tenant_Email").value;
If (cthirdAddr! = "")
Set text object and the body of the e-mail message
var cSubLine = 'Test - form of contract '.
var cbody = "thank you for submitting your form. \n' + 'save the attachment of the completed form for your records.
Send the PDF as an attachment to an e-mail
this.mailDoc ({bUI: true, cTo: cToAddr, cCc: (cCCAddr + ";")})
(+_cBenAddr_+_";"_+_cthirdAddr), bassujetti: cSubLine, CMSG: cbody});
I found a work around because I didn't buy something else. I changed the digital signature so that once it has been signed, it would turn into read-only except for the Send button. With the button send, I used the code above to submit the pdf now read-only for the company by e-mail and cc tenants. I hope this will help others also.

Can I add or edit images in a PDF Reader Extended document?
An Acrobat Reader add or update an image in a pdf Reader Extended document editable?
Hi tms5656,
Adding or editing an image is not something you can do in Adobe Reader, the PDF Reader Extended, whether. But you can do it in Acrobat. And, we invite you to try Acrobat free for 30 days, if you wish. See www.adobe.com/products/acrobat.html for more information.

Control in VBA with Adobe Reader PDF reader
Can I use control "Adobe PDF Reader" on a VBA UserForm on a machine with only Adobe Reader (v9) installed?
I would like to create a shape similar to the one described on page 25 in http://wwwimages.Adobe.com/www.Adobe.com/content/dam/Adobe/en/DevNet/reader/PDFs/reader_ov rview.pdf
Whenever I drag the control of "Adobe PDF Reader" in my form, I instantly get an "Unknown error" message from VBA.
When I try to run
Void pdf()
Dim an as new AcroPDFLib.AcroPDF
a.SRC = "test.pdf".
End SubI get an "error Automation, unspecified error" on the line a.src = "test.pdf".
Any guidance is appreciated.
Use: something like:
Set oReader = createObject ("AcroPDF.PDF.1")
MsgBox (oReader.getVersions)contact/work with the drive object.

After reading the discussions on the problems of connection with reader 9.3.4, I am not sure that there is a problem now. However, I would still like an answer.
I installed 9.3.4 there is little time. I thought I was using it all this time, but I was still apparently with reader 7. This is because I normally double-click a pdf file and it launches the reader. Today, I chose reader programs 9 from the menu under the Start button, and the first thing that to configure reader 9. Further inspection revealed that reader 7 is still installed.
My questions are:
Is necessary to keep the Reader 7 installed if I use reader 9?
Is there anything else I should be aware, regarding removing Player 7, on the track "don't let this dll deleted", or something like that?
I have not tried to uninstall the Player 7 again, because I want to know the answers to these questions before proceeding. I don't need the system get a conflict about what version to run, and I am not sure of this.
Thank you.
Acrobat.com is an online PDF creation tool. It has a free trial version and is less expensive than the purchase of Acrobat, but you don't need. It takes the option Uninstall in Add/Remove programs.
For the rest, looks like you have a bit of an ongoing mess. I would like to uninstall anything you can do with all versions of Adobe Reader, and then download the Microsoft Installer Cleanup of http://www.softpedia.com/get/Security/Secure-cleaning/Windows-Installer-CleanUp-Utility.sh tml utility which (it is not available on the MS site no more because it does not work with Win7) and remove all traces of Adobe REader using this utility.
After that, you should be able to do a clean install of Reader 9 from http://get.adobe.com/reader/. This should dissipate it.
You can leave the Japanese language fonts. If you come across a PDF file with Japanese characters, it will be useful and should not use a lot of space.

HP DVD Writer does not read or write DVD, but only the CD
My HP DVD 1135t burner does not read or write DVD but only the CD. What is the problem? Please help me.
CD/DVD players use different lasers for reading/writing DVD from the CD. All indications would point to your laser DVD as having failed. You could try to remove your drive and install it in another computer to see if the problem follows your player or your computer, but my bet is that the drive must be replaced.

For the last two months that I had trouble setting things in general, for example MS doc viewer for free and VS2010 c# Express.
Yesterday, I tried to install the new version of Adobe Pdf Reader and had exactly the same problem again. I double-click on the executable installer, that it goes right up to 100% on the preparation and when it gets to the point when it should start the installation itself that the computer just hangs and installation does not.
I'm almost certain that this is not a virus I have an up-to-date antivirus and run a scan complete of all the two days. He has never had any problems there.
Anyone know what goes wrong? How do I put right?
Help, please.
Here's how to solve problems with Windows Installer: http://www.ehow.com/how_4813669_fix-vista-problems-windows-installer.html.
If this does not work, try the Windows Installer Cleanup utility: http://www.softpedia.com/progDownload/Windows-Installer-CleanUp-Utility-Download-18442.html and see if that helps.
Try to reinstall Windows Installer: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=5A58B56F-60B6-4412-95B9-54D056D6F9F4&displaylang=en.
I hope this helps. If this is not the case, the issue may not be with the installer, but another problem, and we need to solve problems to try to find the problem. Post back if this does not work and we will try other options.
