PDF Viewer has disappeared!

After the 1.2 update, I noticed that the PDF Viewer has disappeared from my list of Apps integrated with the device information.  I always have PDF Viewer in the launcher and can always open files; what I can't do, is bring down the drop down at the top left!  I just hope I have posted this in the right location for someone at Palm to notice.   :-/

You are right.  My girlfriend has yet to upgrade to version 1.2.  There is no drop down when you first launch PDF Viewer. After review of my device information, I discovered that PDF Viewer has been moved to downloaded Apps.  PDF Viewer was in before 1.2 built-in Apps.  Thanks for your reply.

  • PDF files has disappeared before my eyes!

    Hello

I opened iBooks to show my references at a job interview recently, and after posting icons for no more than two seconds, they disappeared in front of my eyes, never to be seen again and with all other PDFs in iBooks.

It is a replacement for a defective iPad that was restored from backup.  I have implemented a PDF Library over a long period of time and have never had this problem before and iBooks has not been updated since the restoration, either just before the backup.  Update of what happened before the iOS today.

Anyone know why this happened please?  I lost confidence in my iPad - as I did not work and the knowledge that my references can only have tipped the balance in my favor.

    Thank you very much

    Carol

PDF documents in the iBooks app are not included in the actual backup, restoration comes to pick up the books from the iTunes library section (application iBooks if you use a Mac with her on this subject). As well as saving the old iPad, fact that you produce > devices > transfer purchases to copy over (what to copy a PDF or EPUB file in the iBooks, not only of real iBooks app) - and, if you use a Mac with iBooks on it, then do file > move iTunes inside books? If the restoration was not able to copy them to the new iPad, you might temporarily see their covers of the iBooks app when you first open, but they will disappear when it does not find the actual PDF files.

  • Adobe Acrobat 8.0 professional - PDF printer has disappeared.

I use Adobe Acrobat professional 8.0. But after I install on new laptop (win 7), there is no PDF printer and also not able to save all of the Office files to PDF format. I already checked the add-in, and it is enabled.

You need to update Acrobat 8.1 to enable support for the driver instance printer Adobe PDF PostScript beyond Windows XP 32-bit, Vista and (including Windows 7) and for versions of 64-bit operating system. Note that Acrobat 8.x is not and will never be supported by all modern versions of Microsoft Office.

  • Search in the internal pdf viewer has stopped working

Cntrl-F brings up find ok, but after that no hits ever.

It could be the work of one of your modules. Type of topic: addons in the address bar to open your add-ons Manager. Access key; (Mac=) A)

In the Manager of Add-ons, on the left, select Extensions. Disable some add-ons, then restart Firefox.

Some added toolbar and modules of Kaspersky Anti-virus are known to cause problems with Firefox. Disable all of them.

If the problem persists, disable some more (restarting FF). Keep doing this until the problem is gone. After, you know which group is the origin of the problem. Reactivate the last group ONE AT A TIME (reboot FF) until the problem reports.

Once you think that you have found the issue, that disable and reactivate all the others, then stop and try again. Let us know who the suspect is, detective.

  • My save as pdf dialog has mysteriously disappeared. How can I get that back?

I use Illustrator CS5 on a Mac in the Mavericks. I did a bunch of images using a model, and now I'm eager to make my images in pdf format. I'm going to 'File' > ' Save as ' and select "Adobe pdf" and then click Save. This is used to bring up a separate dialog window asking me things about how to save the pdf file, but that has disappeared. I'm also using an external monitor on my MacBook Pro, and I think that it is the culprit. I'm saving my individual layers so that I can turn power button in Adobe Reader, but this feature is not available without the dialog box. Any suggestions on how to get it back? In addition, without the dialog box Illustrator will emit beeps at me if I try to use it. I have to hit enter on the keyboard to save the PDF with the default settings.

    Thanks in advance,

    Ben

Looks like the dialog box's off-screen. You can try to reset the preferences by using Cmd-Opt-Shift on restart I. That could bring back to the current screen.

  • PDF Viewer does not work in FF 38.0.1 for Mac

Unable to get the default PDF Viewer to work with FF 38.01.1 in a MacBook Pro with OS X 10.6.8. Is it supposed to work in this environment?

I have no option but download the files or, apparently, works with a plugin (which I'd rather not do).

  • My "Send" button has disappeared and my address list on the left side also disappeared. How to recover these items?

I've never had a problem sending & or receive e-mail before these days. All of a sudden the Send button has disappeared and my address list on the left side also disappeared.
I find help that suggests the opening of Scripture and then press F9 to retrieve the list of addresses. The list of addresses returned on the left, but did not appear as he used to say. the length of the screen. What is however now it will be satisfactory. The button 'send' is still missing which is frustrating because I was not able to send emails for about a week now.
Would appreciate advice on how to recover the above.
    Thank you.

    Open a window of writing.
Do you have the toolbar of Composition with Send-spelling-Attach, etc?
Otherwise go to the Menu bar and select display-toolbars and turn it back on.
If you are also missing the bar of menus with top view, press the alt key to display, and then turn on the missing toolbars.

If you have some of the bar Composition tools but lack just the Send button, click with the right button on the toolbar and select Customize. Find the button send in the dialog box that opens, and he reglisser in place.

  • 29 Firefox is no longer prints correctly of the construction in the PDF Viewer

I print multiple labels of EBAY one day. Just updated to firefox 29 (not realizing really what has changed - now regretting) and the built in PDF viewer is no longer prints correctly. It shows well the label on the screen, but when you send to the printer (I tried two more different) it prints just the pages of two thugs. I tried a number of different print settings, and as I mentioned two different printers. Unable to get anything to print now except two blank pages. If I change the app settings in firefox to use an outside party 3rd PDF Viewer (e.g. Adobe reader 11, PDF Viewer, etc.) who work very well. However, the default built in PDF Viewer broke clear in this new version. A very disappointing start for me since it is an essential feature for my use. Yes, I have a work around, but the point (and a new bug) are still valid.

Firefox 29.0.1 has been published, which contains a fix for this issue - an update is recommended for all those affected: Firefox update to the latest version

  • Favorites bar has disappeared under the address bar

A few days it has disappeared from the bookmarks toolbar. It may have coincided with install me the Amazon wishlist add-on; I'm not sure. The article that I read in the help forum said right-click where is the open space and a context menu appears. When I right click, nothing happens. I tried also to open the menu bookmarks, unchecking "View Bookmarks Toolbar" and reselection, and nothing happens. Nor do restart the browser.

Any other ideas to get the toolbar reappear where it is supposed to be?

If the file that contains the customization of the user interface is corrupted, or one of the addons intrudes.

to render the user interface, go to firefox > help > troubleshooting information, click on file/show profile folder and close all firefox windows later. a windows Explorer window should open upwards - in there remove the file named localstore.rdf - it will be regenerated the next time you launch the browser.

otherwise if the first doesn't work, you will need to go through your extensions and disable them one by one until you find out that one is the cause...

  • Bookmark star has disappeared from my toolbar and can't find how to retrieve

The star to bookmark on the right side of the toolbar has disappeared. I have read the bandages and can't find anything on how to pin it to the taskbar. I restored the toolbar, and it did not reappear. What should I do to get it back. The bookmark tab is not a practice.

Make sure the toolbars like the toolbar 'Navigation' and the 'personal bar' are visible.

    • Firefox menu button > Options
    • View > toolbars (press F10 to display the menu bar)
    • Right click on empty toolbar space

Use the toolbar (Customize) to open the Customize and set the toolbar to display items.

    • Make sure the "bookmarks toolbar items" are on the personal bar
    • If "Bookmarks Toolbar items" is not on the bookmarks toolbar, then FRY it in the palette of the toolbar in the window the bookmarks toolbar Customize
    • If the missing elements are in the toolbar palette then drag them from the window, customize the toolbar
    • If you do not see an item on a toolbar in the toolbar palette and then click the button "Restore default" to restore the default toolbar configuration
  • the default PDF Viewer does not work

I understand that Firefox has a default PDF Viewer, but it does not work on my Mac OS 10.6.8. When I click on a pdf document, nothing happens.

When you click on a link to a PDF file, you get a blank page or a black background with an empty progress bar, or you get absolutely nothing?

Can you try to change your setting as described in the following article to launch the PDF outside Firefox and see if that works? After this test, you can change it back and repeat the internal viewer. How to disable the built-in PDF Viewer and use another Viewer

  • Plugin 11.0 installed Acrobat 10.1.3 today Firefox don't work (ok in Safari) installed extension PDF viewer 0.2.537 can now display PDF in firefox

It is for information purposes. I installed Acrobat plug today 10.1.3 and I get a blank tab while trying to open a PDF in Firefox 11.0. This plug in works in Safari. I've disabled the plug into Firefox and installed the extension form PDF viewer 0.2.537 Mozilla and open documents. I just wanted to tell you someone1.3

If you want to use Adobe Acrobat, you can simply change the preference that has messed up:

Go to Firefox > Preferences > Applications and search for "PDF file".

Beside that, select use Adobe Acrobat (or use the preview) rather than Adobe Acrobat NPAPI 10.1.3

Adobe NPAPI plug-in does not work on Firefox 64-bit... There's probably a bug where the Adobe Reader update puts this preference.
