    Hi question sticky.

Once you have added a sticky note, right-click and choose Properties from the context menu. Click the general tab and enter the new name in the author text box.

If you want all future sticky notes to bear this name, select use the default properties and then click OK.

Let us know how it goes!

  • Print PDFs with Adobe Reader error

Sometimes when I try to print a PDF with Adobe Reader, it will print the first two pages OK, then the rest will be ruined. This may be the cause for this?

Any thoughts would be much appreciated.

Probably a printer driver problem.  Try to update the printer driver to the latest version from the manufacturers Web site and check the printer cable is properly connected and is directly to the printer.

Reinstall the latest version of Acrobat (you must download it, install it, then check the updates, thanks to Adobe being so weird not giving the latest patches for download), and then try again. If you still experience the problem, you can try to PDF trouble Toolbox https://www.fixtoolbox.com/pdffix.html

  • In windows Vista 32-bit, printing .pdf save as .prn - pdf will not be printed, why?

I am running Windows Vista 32 bit and when you try to print a .pdf file, it will not be printed, but I get the prompt to save it to a .prn file.  Never had a problem printing before Adobe .pdf.  How can I solve this?

Disable the option "print to file".

  • Text of template in sticky notes

I have a user who is an Adobe shared review using Adobe Acrobat Pro and sends copies to other users who can add comments to the document pdf through the sticky notes to creation.  The commentators use Adobe Reader 8.

The author seeks to get commentators to use a strict format for their sticky notes because it uses an Excel macro to recognize and collect data from notes and display them in an organized spreadsheet.  The problem is that he continues to turn in questions where the commentators are broken by error format, so sabotage its macro.

Is there a way to ensure that whenever someone creates a new note of sticky notes, text of the note is automatically populated with the predefined formatted text?  For example, when a player clicks on the icon create a new sticky note, the note already has the following text in the body of the note:

    CHAMP_1:

    CHAMP_2:

    FIELD_3:

If possible, how would you implement this?

No, you can create a plugin custom - problem would be resolved.

  • PDF with images in accordance with ADA in MS Word

How can I create a PDF file in accordance with ADA in MS Word using Acrobat 9 Pro 10?

Another place to ask in the forum standards & accessibility: http://forums.adobe.com/community/acrobat/accessibility_%26_standards

I do not have Word 2010, but in Word 2007, you specify the text of an image by right-clicking on the image, select size (of all things!), and there is a 'Alt text' tab where you can enter the text you want. Then convert to PDF with PDFMaker, as opposed to printing on the printer, while he is marked. There is much more to creating an accessible document, and more in the other forum people are useful.

  • Flatten a PDF file with sticky notes

I have a PDF file with several comments on sticky notes. I need flatten the PDF so it can be downloaded in another tool that supports only the documents of the monolayer. Observations of reminder should be visible. I looked through a bit of documentation and found that options more flattening will remove the text in a sticky note. Is this in any way about this?

This can be done with a script. I'll send you some information by private Message.

  • PDF sticky note printing

I'm with adobe reader (version 11.0.10) XI. I am able to place a note of sticky notes on the document. System imposes a date time next to the userid of the reminder. I need to keep a record when these sticky notes have been placed. The problem occurs when I try to print that. Date time on the document does not print. It is replaced by the text reminder. Please let know us the solution to this problem. All the efforts are appreciated.

  • Use of sticky notes with PDF

How to use sticky notes to change a pdf file?

    Hi redland7

Sticky notes are a part of the commenting feature in acrobat... If you have a PDF file, you can place sticky notes as comments to inform or to provide additional information to users...

Please see the link to know more on sticky notes below: http://acrobatusers.com/tutorials/how-to-work-with-the-comment-tools

    and

The link above contains information how to add, remove, and edit a sticky note...

  • GeoGebra prints a PDF with printer acrobat, its text that can be selected or not searchable.

I want to join the pdf but it does not seem possible. So I'll put a link http://elinkage.net/1.pdf here.

The created pdf file is certainly not an image. Nice looking for smooth fonts which is fully scalable.  Just can't believe that the text is not selectable or searchable.

Thanks for all comments and solutions to correct the issue.

The characters associated with the field points are represented by actual fonts.

The rest is shown characters (an image using vector graphics).

Open the PDF with Acrobat Pro (any version).

    Go to the content panel.

Lotsa - Lotsa entries 'Path '.  Almost all are these characters Graphic image.

In short - nothing can do a 'find' or a 'research' on as it is not more not less than an 'image' - no 'real' text (a prerequisite for any search engine to 'find' or 'Search' or built a search index).

If a problem of 'author' and not an Acrobat / Adobe Reader / software application problem.

    Be well...

  • Send PDFs with sticky notes

I am a novice with Acrobat Pro and I'll send a commented on pdf are still more novice and maybe Pro or reader.

What are the alternative ways to send a PDF with comments (reminder) I have send an email to them for review?

    Thank you.

Just add your comments to the PDF document. Save the PDF file and attach to the email.

Otherwise, you can do a shared review. Send you the PDF as a shared review, and then when the examiner is done with their observations, they click just a big green button to make representations. All the people looking at the PDF file (including you) will be able to view comments and each other. If you send a PDF file by e-mail, you will need to take a few extra steps to combine comments from everyone in your original document.

What version of Acrobat are you using?

I have Adobe Acrobat Professional and added sticky notes in PDF format I want to print a paper copy of. I see a menu option drop-down comments and forms for "Document and annotations" and "Document and stamps." None of these options work. Someone knows how to do this? Thank you.

  • How to find sticky notes in a PDF doc?

Several people (at work) commented on a 440-page document I created, use reminders to write their comments. When I first open the document, sticky notes are all closed. The icon of a closed sticky note is quite small and not brightly colored, so they are easy to miss when you scroll through hundreds of pages of image-heavy. I hope that it is possible to find every occurrence of a sticky note.

If there is any way to get the notes, is there a command that I can use to open all the notes in the file (in a single action) so that they are larger and easier to spot?

    Platform: Windows PC 8

    Version: Acrobat 8

If this isn't a feature available in Acrobat 8, is it possible to do so in future versions?

My apologies if this isn't the community just for this question, but none of those listed appeared to be the obvious choice, and there is no category "miscellaneous" or "General". If there is a better community for the issue, please let me know.

    Thank you

    Joyce.

On the door, you have a problem.
The Acrobat 8 product family spent several years (well before the release of Windows 8) "End of Support".
"End of Support" means - well, just right.

The Acrobat 8 product family is not compatible with Windows 8.1, 8 or 7.

The Acrobat XI product family is compatible with Windows 8 / 8.1.

Regarding the comments and Annotations to Mark Up:

With Acrobat 8 Pro using the "list of comments".
Acrobat 9 Pro, Pro X and XI Pro spirit.
May be available with "Standard version" of the different versions.

The contents of a list of comments can be exported to a PDF report.
The filter a be used to display specific features / attributes that then become the content of reports when you export a report.

With '8' the help PDF file got loaded with the installation of '8 '.
Use it to review the information provided on the list of comments.

    Be well...
