  Hello. I'm using PeopleTools 8.49 and MS SQL Server 2005. My PIA runs correctly. I just installed FSCM 9.0 system database successfully. In application designer, I have login name to FSCM 9.0 database using user VP1 and password VP1. This message appears:

  AFAIK, FSCM 9.1 requires PeopleTools 8.50.02 or higher. FSCM 9.0 requires PeopleTools 8.48 or higher. So, for my PeopleTools 8.49, I can't installed FSCM 9.0 only. But PeopleTools 8.49 and FSCM 9.0 got this problem aa (above). People can help solve this problem?

  Old FSCM9.0 was built on Peopletools 8.48 (previous the recut of revision 1).
  Since you are using Peopletools 8.49, you must upgrade the database to the new version. Please, follow the chapter "Upgrading your database to the latest version of Peopletools" from the Guide to install Peopletools.

  Our AC not working and we have a time-sensitive project to apply for a DEV db (1099 patch) and then move on to the Prod. I applied manually before the projects on previous projects and it causes import project, validate the project, create and build regional economic communities, change REB, build views, etc.

  Also in Java patch 21494055 had to . We have applied the patches to our DEV server and it seems to be OK, however, it is difficult to test because there is charge of the user very little in DEV.

  We are concerned of applying it to the Prod, in case it goes south and wonder if anyone has done this before and who knows if there is a procedure to regularize if it caused problems with Prod because this server is very high profile!

• Consequences of not staying current of the beams and MP?

  I'm working on a government site and we are on the FSCM 9.1 with the tools 8.53.04. They have gone live on certain modules, but light on the rest of them live on 01/07/15. When I got here, I noticed that they were the 24 and 25 beams. To be updated, we would have about bundle 31. I talked to the Director of this project (he has no experience of PS), and he said that we do not have the "bandwidth" in terms of staff, to make all the necessary tests required when apply you all of the beams.

  I know from experience that when you're not aware of the beams, then problems that produce would have been set in bundles more late and sometimes you encountered a problem which is fixed at 2 or 3 beams in front of where you are when you're late. We are already seeing app engine processes that run without success, and the solution is in the 26 bundle.

  I talked recently to inquire to get current on the beams and his response was that they apply FSCM 9.2 in a year or two and then get current with all beams.

I had the problem when I try to connect like application designer "EBU Invalid ID and password for sign. I can able to connect using Data Mover SYSADM/SYSADM.

  I have run the grant.sql query too. Please tell how to solve these errors. I created the db twice, but no luck, I got the same problem.

  I doubt that there is any some Userid for FSCM (Say VP1),because I have procedure step by step the document they say for user ID FSCM is VP1. But in dbowner.sql it look like as follows

  I think you need some basic knowledge of first before going any further in the installation.

  SYSADM is the owner of the user Oracle Peoplesoft objects (tables, views,...), you can connect to SGD but will be "bootstrap" mode only. It cannot be used for AppDesigner connection.

  PS is a locked user account Oracle hosting only arrays of connection security. It cannot be used for any connection of DMS or AppDesigner application.

  VP1 is a user of the application. It cannot be used for Oracle, only DMS/AppDesigner connection. If you turn on all counts with the default password of the screenshot that you has shown, it should be able to connect to the application.

  Server application ID is used to manage the application server, defined in the configuration file of the application server.

  Enterprise PeopleTools 8.49 installation guides (Doc ID 703595.1)

  Enterprise PeopleTools 8.50 (Doc ID 887277.1) installation guides

  In addition to this, I would suggest a few points here - as you mentioned that you're new to PeopleSoft.

  1. to install the full installation program (PeopleSoft FSCM 8.8 the installation program, you must do the compatible PeopleTools.

  2. based on the version of PeopleTools, you plan to go with, you need to get certified versions: database, Web server, Tuxedo.  And also your operating system should also be an operating system that is certified for your version of PeopleTools.

  (NOTE: you can check the MOS Certification tab for all combinations certified).

  3. follow the below facilities one after the other.

  .    i. install the database

  .   II. install Tuxedo

  .  III. install the Web server

  .   IV. install PeopleTools

  .    v. install PeopleSoft FSCM 8.8

  4. go to the Configuration Wizard of databases (DBCA) in the Windows START menu and set up the database (just follow the steps that appear in the DBCA.  And provide the necessary details as GUID, etc.)

  5 run the wizard of Network Configuration (Net CA) in the menu Windows START and configure the CA Net.

  6. search for your OperatingSystem records these SQL Scripts...

  .    i. UTLSPACE.sql--> you need to change the database path to report your exact database in this script and then run the script to the SQL prompt.

  .   II. DBOWNER.sql--> change the details of database administrator (exactly what you mentioned in step 4 above) in this script and run the script at the SQL prompt.

  .  III. EPDDL.sql--> you need to change the database path to report your exact database in this script, and then run the script at the SQL prompt.

  .   IV. PSROLES.sql--> no change required, you can run this script directly at the SQL prompt.

  .    v. PSADMIN.sql--> edit the Admin details according to your requirement and run the Script at the command prompt. (ongoing, you will need to provide the following three values when he is invited allows you to enter values...) SYSADM, SYSADM and PSDEFAULT.

  .   VI. CONNECT.sql--> no change required, you can run this script directly at the SQL prompt.

  7. in the menu Configuration Manager START (menu group of PeopleSoft), provide details

  .  III. once the script has completed, you must check the logs for errors, if any.

  .          epengs.log

  .          Encrypt.log

  .          Triggers.log

  .          views.log

  NOTE: at the end of each log file, there must be a confirmation saying... ".... Completed successfully"- without it, you are not supposed to move forward.  If the errors encountered, allow to fix these errors and re run the script from there, through Data Mover utility.

  9. connect you to AppDesigner using credentials VP1/VP1 and the import of sub projects and build one after the other.

  Select the Oracle platform in the search, and you should get a scroll with 5 rows. Lines 4 and 5 must begin with DBMS_STATS. GATHER_TABLE_STATS

  I just installed fscm 9.1 and discovered that the setspace.sqr is not executed in the delivered template. I ran, then all is good, but I wonder if there is some other configuration steps of basic use, that I should be aware of until I started to really get in to use it.

• FSCM 9.1 on VirtualBox pasted on the Pages search

  I installed VirtualBox 4.2 on my laptop. Host is running Windows 7 SP1 64 bit, 16 GB RAM, quad i7 processor. Created a Virtual Machine with 8 GB of RAM, running Oracle Linux Server 5.8, RDBMS Oracle 11.2.0 and assembled PeopleTools 8.52.10 and FSCM 9.1 home.
  
  I can start everything and don't see any errors in the logs and I can connect to PeopleSoft with VP1 userid and access a component search page. But, once I click on the button of the browser search just clocks. It never updates the application pages.
  
  If I navigate to a component that does not have a search page, for example PeopleTools - public services - Administration - Options PeopleTools, the page is displayed. But if I make a change and click on the button Save the browser clocks again and never save it.
  
  I ran a SQL and PeopleCode trace, but you see not errors. Other than not sure error messages what else I could search the trace for me to clue the problem.
  
  Any ideas he might trample on?

  And don't forget to apply the upcoming project with patch 10. I already noticed such behavior while he was away.

  I had exactly the same problem yesterday. Since my installation workstation, I was unable to open the zip file but from another PC, I could open it without error, then I copied the archive that I could open up my PC to my workstation installation and still I could not open it... very strange.

  The difference between my PC and install it workstation is on my PC, I use 7zip and on the position of the installation, I'm using WinZip.

  So I extracted the zip file with 7zip on my PC, then, always on my PC I recreated a new zip file, it transferred to the workstation install and finally I could open it!
