  I am trying to use the new functionality of Log Viewer PeopleTools 8.55.

  It is a great improvement that allows developers/testers/support team members to display the application server logs, process scheduler logs and newspapers PIA; with a regular account of the PeopleSoft Application.

  You have no need to create a system account on the server (Linux or Windows) for users to view the logs.

  I managed to configure the Web server log viewer, but when I try to Application I can see message failed to connect to the JMX service (209,1046).

  PeopleSoft Health Center invites you to add components or domains registered with PPM agent for the purposes of surveillance. The monitoring application authenticates these components or areas by asking a Panel on each component or member field. This is a single authentication that is implemented through the JMX agents. You can choose the components or areas to analyze by answering Yes for the option turn on tracing.

  Consider the following when you want to enter username and password for a domain or a component participants:

  • For the web server component (domain PIA), the JMX agent uses the same user name and the password that you enter in the web server administration console.
  • For Tuxedo components (application server and the areas of the process scheduler), the JMX agent uses the user name and password is entered in the field Tuxedo configuration file.

  After you have registered a component or a domain, if you disable JMX agents, registered components will display an error message on the dashboard application. The error message indicates that the component is inaccessible for monitoring.

  I solved the problem by logging EM Express.

  I followed the database with EM Express, but it seems that there was a problem of lock with scripts.

• PeopleTools 8.53.22

  We will be upgrading our worm PeopleTools 8.53.06 to 8.53.22 in the next 2 months.  (We will be upgrading to version 8.54 in about a year)  PeopleTools 8.53.22 is stable?  Are there any known bugs or "traps" with this version?  Are also the latest critical updates included in the PeopleTools.  We are on PeopleSoft 9.2.02.  Any suggestions or ideas are appreciated.

  While I can't answer your question directly, I'll provide as much information as possible.

  Like all changes to the code, a patch of tools (8.53.06 to 8.53.22) requires extensive tests in your environment.  I understand that you request a general "is everyone else happy with this version', but the truth is nobody else is likely to use exactly the same way you are.  At the same time, an application of the patch has much less risk than the upgrade (e.g. 8.53 to 8.54).  However, I have been using 8.54 all this year and highly recommend you just patch your version of the tools.  It is good that you planned, but surely the effort you spend on the patch tools would be replicated in the upgrade, so you would get more advantageous to put this effort in upgrading earlier (possibly skip the patch altogether).

  In addition, as a general rule, higher versions of patch are usually more stable.  In my view, there was enough of a problem with 8.54.04 when it came out, but 8.54.08 is out.  By patch 08, I expect all underlying traps to have been ironed out.  I realize that this is in a bit of a ghost waiting - as I have little knowledge of bugs accurate as long as they are fixed - however higher patches are less likely to implement changes to the basic elements, that these changes will simply be moved to the next version.  I know 8.55 features already spruiked, is now the case for 8.54 as well.

  So ultimately, while I have no experience of 8.53.22, so I have it 'should' be stable.  I also recommend that bring your upgrade tools to the front if you can - especially if that means that you can ignore the effort to patch tools.

  As CCR says, the only way to achieve synchronization for your systems is to carry out preliminary tests.

  In my class upgrade, the Tools section takes around 07:15.  I could accelerate it if necessary in preparing exports of table following a development freeze.  This would save about 30 minutes on the tables of PeopleTools export step 04/03/14 system.  Similarly, no matter where scripts are generated, if your source has not changed (i.e. a gel development forced after PSG last of the trial), you are able to reuse the previous scripts and save a few minutes here.

  In addition, almost three hours of my time to run statistics (twice).  If you find that performance is acceptable without these statistics, you could potentially save more time.  I've scheduled some tests for this further in our upgrade project.

  Mind you, I've also included a script which gives an extra level of verification - which requires my current site.  This extra step is 30 minutes at the beginning and at the end of 30 minutes.

  Finally, look at the DMS scripts are running.  A number of them use the code independent of the platform such as the XXX DELETE; who can be accelerated using TRUNCATE TABLE XXX;

  How do you know where the time can be saved?  You perform a test run and look at the timings on every step.  Anything less than 30 seconds is not worth spending time on.  Nothing more than 5 minutes (an arbitrary value - set your own limit) is a potential target for further investigation.

• Image of 8.54 PeopleTools does not work based on components

  Did somebody get branding to work in PeopleTools 8.54 based on components? I tried to attach sheets of custom style and Javascripts (via App designer and PeopleTools > Portal > Branding > Branding component) to a classic component with no luck. As I understand it, custom objects should be included in the generated page markup, but lack when I inspect the page with the Chrome developer tools.

  According to Oracle Support is a known bug and will be fixed in PeopleTools 8.55. No backport is scheduled to 8.54.

  Working in PeopleTools 8.52.22 with Crystal Reports 2008 (12.3.0.601)

  Creates a new query and report based on a... Crystal report work and the query can be connected without problem

Because my tools already are 8.5 X and the project name is 84. It's a bit confusing because installed (8,53) is higher and you load a project with fewer 8.4 (PPLTLS84CUR).

  To check the version of PeopleSoft PeopleTools for your application database, run this SQL query:

  I don't think that GA date has been announced. However, considering the Oracle now has plans to release versions PT in all 12-18 months, it should be around mid-2014.

  I changed the UserId as PSADMIN in Configuration file, purge the cache and clean restart and resources of the CPI. Password is correct. But the error still shows id = MyOwnerName.

  Application Designer to connect as PSADMIN successfully. Data Mover Bootstrap connect as MyOwnerName successfully.

  My question is:

  Why PSADMIN both MyOwnerName the ID invalid user or password database signon? How to solve the problem?

  As stated in the installation manual, there are a few prerequisites in chapter CHAPTER 8 b page 238 UNIX application server configuration

  Prerequisites

  Before you begin this procedure, you should have completed the following tasks:

  • Installed your application server.

  • Tuxedo installed 11 GR 1 material

  • Authorization to a PeopleSoft user ID to start the application server.

  The database configuration process includes a step to set up the ID of the user with permission to start

  Novel installers generally use VP1 or PS to test the application server. If these users are deleted or their

  Passwords are changed, the application server will be unavailable. To avoid this problem, you can set

  until a new operator (called PSADMIN or PSASID, for example) with privileges to start the application server.

  If you do this, you can use the operator new for your servers and you will not need to change the

  password each time VP1 or PS.
