percentage of the images inside InDesign scaling

Hello

got a picture with a size of 544 x 408 px meassured in photoshop.

Sure as layers .psd to 264dpi.

Bring it in InDesign where I create articles for a folio of 1024 x 768 px.

At 100% the size of the image 101.489 x 96.233 px.

It's a question of resolution, but if so it means pixels in photoshop are not equal to pixels in InDesign?

Please, anyone who can explain this to me?

Thanks in advance,

Herman

This is probably a question to understand the effective difference between 'Actual PPI' and "PPI." To see the difference, select your placed image and display the Info Panel (window > info). Then put the image to enlarge. As long as your Effective PPI is greater than 144, you have nothing to fear.

Exception: If you create image for overlays files as sequences of images, use save for Web to create images to 72 dpi.

  • How to animate the image inside the frame

    Hello

    I wonder if there is a way to animate only an image inside a frame, rather than animate the entire image. I have attached a picture to give you an idea of what I want to do. As you can see, I have an image in a frame that is bound by the size of the page. You will notice that the image itself is much larger. I want the image itself to turn slowly, but the weft to stand still. Possible? I'm on Indesign CC 2015.Screen Shot 2015-06-21 at 10.58.43 PM.png

    Ok. What works is somehow:

    Have a duplicate of your image size as you wish where the limits of the graph are the limits of the graphic image.

    1. define the animation you want.

    2. put the frame on the rectangle that currently hold your image.

    2. then cut/paste as part of animation in this framework.

    Test the movie in the preview of EPUB interactivity Panel.

    No need of an additional mask on an extra layer then.

  • Shortcut to open the images in InDesign

    The shortcut to open an image in InDesign is Command-Option-double clickk. works well - except when you click on in the box of overlay in the text block or an underlying. Then the image will not open, even if it was previously selected and shows the blue handles and you double-click inside these blue handles. No matter if the image is in front of or behind another frame, priority is given in the text frame. What happens is: the text block editing window opens.

    Is it possible to have a keyboard shortcut, so that when you select a picture and then make some strikes, the image opens?

    Edit > keyboard shortcuts...

    The original edition... command is under the Edition Menu product area and has no default, but you can add your own. You will need to do a new custom set because you cannot change the default value.

    link the button to a property of an element, and then change all the elements in the datamodel. ListView reflects these changes.

  • Mask photo appears in my document, when I insert the image of InDesign

    I have a picture retouched, which was published. I saved as a JPEG, and all other files known to man.  The Image looks great, until I have 'place' in my InDesign CS document.  I'll only have this problem with a picture and can't seem to locate all the parameters or information about that user group.  Here's the image view.  I'm going to print on Monday.

    Thank you

    Bad Image.JPG

    Look at the picture in Photoshop and see if any of the paths is defined as a clipping path in Photoshop. You can tell because the path name will be more bold and statement in the palette traced.

  • Why a difference between the quality of the image in InDesign and PDF output

    Comparing the output pdf of CS5 of our book with the version ID. The images are MUCH clearer and the colors are best when display us a page inside ID side by side with the PDF. The pictures actually blurred in the PDF, even though we are out at 600 dpi. When export us to PDF in cs6, clarity is much better but the color is a little off. Is this normal?

    The X-1 a-exporter of CS5 looks a lot better than normal and production better than the output of the CS6. What would cause that?

    If you export a PDF CMYK with no profile and open in AcrobatPro, workspace CMYK Acrobat color management manages the preview. So here is the difference between two very different profiles coated Fogra and newsprint WINK:

    When you export PDF/X-1 has an output intent profile is included (usually your document CMYK profile) and is used in Acrobat to preview CMYK rather than current CMYK working space.

  • Problems placing the Image in Indesign Cs5

    A tiff image created in Photoshop in 300 DPI with 8 X 10 inch size seems much smaller when placed in indesign page. I'm not using just frames: file - place.

    Need to print to the exact size without resizing image.

    Really would appreciate your help! Have a huge point.

    When you place the file, using file > Place? If so, when the cursor turns into a thumbnail of the image you place, you by clicking once on the InDesign page, or by clicking on and dragging a box? If you click and drag, the image fits in size what ever you box drag, rather than being placed at 100%.

    If this isn't the right answer, please provide a little more information.

  • Place the Image inside the outline of text?

    Using CS4. I think that place an image inside a text outline was simple enough, but I can't understand it. Tried to use Clipping Path command with text converted to outlines, but did not work. What is the secret? Thank you.

    Or you can create a pattern of the image by dragging the image to the swatch Panel and assign the model to the fill of the text attribute.

  • Problem with the image inside the UL

    I have a UL with a width of width 200px height 55px. I created a background image for the UL with the same measures. When I add the image as a background within the UL, the AMT is wider than the image 40px and I have to resize the UL in connection 160px. -less than the size of the image.

    What continues? There is nothing inside the UL at the moment apart from the background image.

    Did you put the margin and the filling of the AMT?

  • How to restore the thumbnails of the images inside the file folder cover my images and my documents? Currently, they are empty or show the orange flowers...

    I have thousands of files and without photo allude to content, I'm at sea.

    Thank you so much my irritating problem to Geethu B to put a lot of thought. Unfortunately, none of the steps worked with my system which is a Windows 7 Ultimate, BUT

    My son fell in and put everything to me pretty quickly.

    1. Start menu

    2. all programs

    3. click on accessories

    4. click on system tools

    5. click on disk cleanup

    6 remove the thumbnails by forcing the system to create from your images.

    7. click on update and all the images, rather, icons, back on the envelopes of file.

    Sigh!

    Thank you!!!

  • div floating above the other div that has the image inside. Help, please

    Hello

    the page is http://blackpaint.co.uk/BlackPaint09/films/

    I'm trying to make sure the DIV "SlantedWritingFilms" floating above the image that is in the same div - without it pushes the image down.

    Maybe it's easier to look at the code:

    .SlantedWritingFilms {
         position:relative;
         font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", Times, serif;
         font-size: 20px;

         letter-spacing: 3px;
         padding-right: 20px;
         padding-bottom: 4px;
         padding-left: 9px;
         padding-top: 5px;
         top: 0px;
         -webkit-border-bottom-right-radius: 1ex 1ex;

         left: 0px;
         visibility: visible;
         z-index: 5;
    }

    .FilmStill {
         background-color: #000;
         width: 375px;
         height: 140px;
         margin-left: 30%;
         margin-top: auto;
         margin-right: auto;
         margin-bottom: auto;
        border-style: none;
    }

    and HTML

      <div class="FilmStill">

    Thanks a lot for help

    As you have discovered, two elements to the surface of a

    cannot occupy the same space. The solution by getting one of the elements to "sleep," it totally down the surface and that in fact a background of it either by actually "levitation", one above the other.

    • Apply a unique id to each div in which is now a picture.
    • Place each image in the background of the div, define in your CSS.
    • You will not then be able to use the image as a button, and you may want to add something to click on.

    OR (this second way is preferable)

    • Change the . FilmStill definition by adding position: relative;

    I'm trying to put images in a horizontalList. I can see the images on the screen, but it seems that they overlap on the other - not now. Naturally, what I will be having each images showing next to the other one.

    Does someone know what I am doing wrong?
