Permission to review VCP5-VTC without CIM class

Can I try VCP5-VTC review first and then participate in ICM training... I ask this because, according to a blog now we should participate class ICM first to register for the VCP test.

Today I just tried to register for the test VCP5 and obtained authorized in the next 15 minutes and there is no such thing as this review to schedule on-site PearsonVUE. The strange thing is I have not attended class ICM still (planning to attend it in January) so why this review is permitted as soon as I'm supposed to first attend the CIM class. Could someone please clearify?

got a class id and a password of my instructor to register the class vSphere:ICM with my account of the training, and then I logged onto my mylearn account and recorded this class with my id...

    Hello

How to book review VCP5-VTC?  I'm on the train, and I think it means that I have a way to be able to do the review.  I was told that I can't do the review, unless I follow training.  What is the cost of the review too?

I'll use autolabs for my lab setup, but that many use to test questions to prepare you for the exam?

    Thank you

I guess you're new to VMware/certification exams. You have a choice of 2 exams which you can take - VCP510 is based on vSphere 5.0/5.1, and VCP550 is based on vSphere 5.5.

    Dear all,

past VCP5-VTC yesterday. I'm not complete course. What is the next step to get the certificate? Please advice

    Thank you.

I understood the question - Pearson/view will notify VMware but you will get a certificate, or whatever it is official VMware until you attend one of the required classes.

I asked for a permission that has been validated. However, I wonder if I can really do this review because in this link https://mylearn.vmware.com/mgrReg/plan.cfm?plan=12457 & ui = www_cert , I saw that the requirement is this course vSphere: install, configure, manage [5.5]. can someone answer me please?

You can take exams VCP510 or VCP550 - VCP510 is based on vSphere 5.0/5.1, while VCP550 is based on vSphere 5.5 - submitting a review you will win the same certification VCP5-VTC.

  • VCP5-VTC Exam questions vs the rule VCP510 question?

Could someone advise if VCP5-VTC examination questions are the same question as VCP510?

VCP510 is the code to review, VCP5-VTC is the title of certification.

Download the review plan to discover the objectives of the review - you can find that here: Virtualization VCP-Datacenter (VCP5-VTC)

  • Certification VCP5-VTC

    Hello

I would like to ask some questions about the program VCP5-VTC.

    (1) I must first of all win the VCA - VTC cert goes prior to the VCP5?

    (2) is the mandatory VCP5-VTC course?

On the 2nd question, I don't have enough money for the course so I can entirely rely on self-study since I was 10 years of experience in the information TECHNOLOGY sector, I really can't go to class. I have all the gear necessary for my practical training.

    Thank you

    Yes its need.

And NO, they won't ask you for evidence. You can take up the certification even without authorized VCP course but your certification will be complete and you will not receive a certificate until you have completed the training.

Think of it as a two-step process to obtain certification. Even if it is not completed, you will not be done.

  • VCP5-VTC 5.5 update

    http://sostechblog.com/2014/01/21/vcp5-DCV-updated-for-vSphere-5-5-now-135-questions-and-two-hours/

With the new test covering 5.5, it is more "agnostic."  If you plan to take the new exam you must specifically study 5.5.  If you have taken a course 5.0 or 5.1 to be eligible for the examination, you should find all the information of "What's New" is 0-class especially for 5 participants, who will see the most difference and you'll have to read the "what's new for 5.1 and"what's new for 5.5 Articles. "

If you read the blog post, you will see that there is VCP510 and the review of the VCP550.

    VCP510 - review of 'old' who is agnostic on 5.0/5.1 - 85 questions, 90 minutes (+ 15 for a survey)

    VCP550 - the new specific review questions 5.5 - 135 120 minutes (+ 15 for a survey)

    So you have booked VCP510.

I don't see any review of Vmware Vsphere CIM 5.1. they renamed to this review?

Certification for vSphere 5.1 is VCP5-VTC (she was previously VCP5), the code review remains VCP510

  • VCP5 vs VCP5-VTC

    Hello

I think to become a VCP. I took the course "VMware vSphere: install, configure, manage v5.0" there are about 1 1/2 years. As far as I know that a few things have changed since then. I only knew the VCP5 certification. Now I see that it is not VCP5 but a 'VCP5-VTC. Is this the same exam (only renamed) or is it something else?  Should I retake the course (updated 5.1) for this? (From this page: ) http://myLearn.VMware.com/mgrReg/plan.cfm?plan=12457 & UI = www_cert I guess that my class 5.0 will be sufficient). In addition I would like to know how looks like a review of VMware compared to a review of Cisco. Will there be 'only' multiple choice questions or I have to configure something in a lab (simulated) environment?

Don't worry, it was only the name of the certification that was changed, no need to take an additional course.

The exam consists of multiple choice questions. Unless you already have, make sure you read the review (downloadable from the link you mentioned) Blueprint, which explains how the examination and also lists the objectives.

  • VCP5-VTC certification?

I want to do the certification VCP5-VTC, but im not sure how much I need to know to have a chance to make it, perhaps someone could point me in the right direction.

    I finished these 2 courses

    vSphere: install, configure, manage [5.5]

    vSphere: optimize & chelle [5.5]

Yes, you can always take a review - VCP510 relies on vSphere 5.0/5.1 and VCP550 is on vSphere 5.5.

Your presence on the course should have been followed by the training provider, you should see the on your myLearn transcript - head to this page and you sign in to your account: VMware education

  • VCP5-VTC and VCP6-DT

    Hello

I have a valid certificate of VCP5-VTC, which is admissible as 'level vcp certification valid' VCP6-DT review?

Yes, provided that it remains current (I refer to the date limit for renewal of certification that many meet March 10)

  • VCP5-VTC - VCP510 (5.0/5.1), VCP550D (5,5)

    Hello

If I VCP510 review, then the VCP550D review, I'll be VCP5-VTC certified for the following versions of vSphere 5.0, 5.1 and 5.5? Would be the same as having passed the test of VCP550?

    See you soon

I assume you mean to "qualify" as you were trained on vSphere 5.0 or 5.1.

The minor version of your training has no influence on which exam you can take — you can take now to VCP550 (less the D) which relies on vSphere 5.5.

From VCP550 is by far the easiest option for you to have passed an examination certification on vSphere 5.5.

But the title of your certification will tell VCP5-VTC regardless of whether you pass VCP510, or VCP550, or VCP510 followed by VCP550D.

  • How can I update my VCP5-VTC

Did I miss something on the new requirements of the certification?  I need to renew my VCP5 VTC.  Is there a new secure Channel - VTC to upgrade me to?  If I take the 5.5 m review I then a VTC VCP55?

    Thank you

    Bob

    Excerpt from my blog:

There are 2 steps to monitor:

-If you win all your certifications to VCP level before March 10, 2013 you til March 10, 2015 to get recertified

-If you won your most recent certification VCP level since March 10, 2013 you have 2 years from the date you earned this certification to recertify

You can get a new certification in one of these ways:

-Take the current exam for VCP certification level in the same discipline

-Take the level of current VCP exam in another discipline

-Pass a current review of VCAP level under the same or another discipline

There is no concept of VCP55-VTC, individuals can spend VCP510 or VCP550 for the VCP5-VTC certification.

For example, you might want to consider office or cloud VCPs, or VCAP5 DCA-VCAP5-DCD.
