  In the last few hours, I discovered the answer to my own question. My Blackberry is provided through my hospital and their COMPUTING service has enabled a policy built into the design of Blackberry which deals with the application phone as a private application and it blocks share the contact information in the application contact (which is linked to the corporate Server Outlook). Alors_que is boring (a phone with no contact), the solution is to make phone calls by opening the Contacts app first and throwing the phone call from here.)   I recommend that you try to start safe mode:

  • KB17877 How to start a smartphone BlackBerry in Mode safe

  It will take several attempts to get the combination of keys ESC (press/release/hold) OK, so be patient. When properly in Safe Mode, see what happens.

  If the behavior continues, then well... think what happened just before this behavior started? A new application? An update? A theme? Something else? Think carefully that the slightest change can be causal... and try to undo all that was.

  But if the behavior continues mode without failure, you may need to consider more drastic measures - WIPE, OS Reload, BBSAK Wipe/Reload and the process of reloading OS 'skeleton '. To prepare, you should be sure that you have a full backup of your PC... Please see the Backup link in my sig auto on this post for instructions.

  Y at - it no filter applied? Go to Contacts > Options > filter > uncheck both.

  When I bought my Droid, Best Buy transferred my old phone to my Droid contact list.  It worked well until I must have hit some button that 'hidden' from my phone contacts list.  The list must always exist because when I get a call the Droid does appear the correct name from my list of contacts, but I still don't see the contact list when I touch 'Contacts' Does anyone know how to "Refresh" the contacts list view is visible again?

  Try this:

  Open your contacts

  Press the Menu key

  Select Display Options

  Click on your Gmail account

  Make sure that the correct option has a green check mark by it.

• No synchronization of contact on PRE since update

  I can't synchronize my accounts contact completely on my pre since the update.  I noticed first on Facebook.  I changed my email address and added my account under the new name.  Thinking that all was well after the phone was told he finished syncing, I deleted the original account - and lost most of my contacts (only 52 of 496 synchronized).  Thought it was just FB, then tried to synchronize with Outlook through Pocket mirror.  Same result - this time around 47 of 1035.  Says the sync is completed, but most of my contacts don't sync.  Finally, even with Google contacts (1040 2!).  Have you tried many suggestions posted-deleting/adding accounts, taking characters or symbols from the names of contact-nothing doesn't seem to work.  Add/Remove Google screwed up in my calendar, but I've corrected which and it seems to be synchronized with the pre and the Outlook very well.

  I contacted Chapura for Pocket Mirror/Outlook synchronization help but no response yet.  It kills me - all my frequently used contacts went so try to remove/add accounts.  My Palm profile seems to be useless as well - it's showing 2 contacts.  Last backup date Palm said 01/12/09 and it was fine then, which is set to another problem altogether--it's for daily backups, but that doesn't seem to work either.  I did successfully a biased before reset for another question, but I'm afraid that the Palm backup is not good after that play messages on data loss.

  Any help would be appreciated.

  RESOLVED: Don't know if I got a bad update or what, but I finally resorted to the partial reset and everything seems to work normally now.  I originally only had a partial synchronization of Facebook, but a few hours after the initial zero/synchronization, all missing contacts downloaded.  Seemed to fix my problem with both Pocket mirror.

  I'll have a problem in which whenever I go through contacts in the phone app or change any contact then iphone more 6s will hang for 2-3 seconds. I have IOS 10.0.2 will fix this problem but its not yet solved. My observation is that every time the application attempts to fetch/update of data in icloud then I'm having this problem.

  Thank you for using communities Support from Apple.  From your post, I understand that your phone app seems to become temporarily unresponsive when you edit your contacts. I'd be happy to help you!

  I have some troubleshooting I want to recommend. Before you begin, please create a backup of your iPhone, by following the steps described here: How to back up your iPad, iPhone or iPod touch

  Once your backup has been created, try the following steps, in order. Test after each step completed, stopping when the problem is resolved.
  

  1. Force to close the phone application, then restart it and return to the Contacts section. You can find a way to force close apps here: force a nearby app on your iPad, iPhone or iPod touch
  2. Restart the iPhone, as detailed here: restart your iPad, iPhone or iPod touch
  3. Restore iPhone to factory settings, following this article: use iTunes on your Mac or PC to restore the iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to factory settings

     Once the restore is complete, configure the iPhone as a new device (i.e. without using your backup, at least temporarily). You can register in iCloud iMessage, FaceTime and iTunes and the App Store using your Apple ID.

     If adding contacts does not cause the application to phone to become unresponsive, you can restore your backup by following the steps described here: restore your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch from a backup

  I need to import my contacts from my phone to my Thunderbird account on a Windows 7 system.

  Can I import contacts into a folder of Windows 7 by default called "contacts", located under the desk, (computer name), app data, but I can not move from there into Thunderbird.

  I have Samsung's Kies3, but there is no function to download my address book on my desk other than default to the folder 'contacts' of Windows 7 (sentence above).

  It seems like Microsoft is trying to sabotage every effort to co-operate with Mozilla's Thunderbird.

  Install MoreFunctionsForAddressBook (How to install), then open address book, contacts/import vCard/vcf MoreFunctionsForAddressBook/tools/Actions, then select the vcf files in the "Contact import" window (Ctrl + A to select all files in a folder).

  The iPhone is not write in the SIM card and never has. While you can import SIM contacts that have been written on the SIM card by another device (where use you the SIM card), you can not write to the SIM card with the iPhone.

• Calendar/Contacts incomplete Sync since 9.2.1 update

  The day of the release a few days ago, I updated my iPhone 6 s, mini iPad (3rd generation) and iPad Pro 9.2.1 and my iMac and MacBook Pro to 10.11.3. Calendar and Contacts sync works fine between both Mac and iPad Pro. However, the phone and the iPad mini not synchronize these days. The iCloud calendar is syncing OK also.

  All iOS devices have the same exact settings and using the same identifier Apple and all were continuously recorded in. Ditto for the two Macs. Lack of synchronization on the phone is really annoying.   Anyone else has this problem and knows a solution?

  Try the settings/iCloud and remove the synchronization. Wait a few minutes and then resynchronize.

  Have you tried the signature to iCloud and then reconnect?

  I have not tried any of them.

  I have not heard of gmail is not importing the contacts without email.

  If you want to import your contacts on your phone and then it sync from there, to your gmail account, follow these steps to enable synchronization with gmail before you import the contacts. If you do not need to sync with gmail contacts, that you don't have to follow the steps I've linked to.

  Contacts added to the phone will be synchronized with the Motoblur server, but you do not have access to modify or create groups. Contacts don't sync with Motoblur must be edited on the phone.
