  I used a Mobile hot spot on my smart phone to access Internet on my laptop successfully for 2 years.  I recently updated my phone (same brand) and now everytime I try to log in after a few seconds I get a blue screen and a memory dump.  I am running Vista.  Can I connect other devices such as my Ipad, but my laptop properly breaks down every time! My husband has a phone just as my old with the hotspot feature and my laptop connects to it without problem, but some affecting somewhere is not compatible with this new hotspot.  I don't know where to look again.  My phone provider says it's something with the OS, not the hotspot. My computer recognizes the wireless network and connect briefly - but when I try to go to a Web site, or after the screen a few seconds - blam - blue.  Error message says to contact my network administrator which is very useful. lol anyone have suggestions?

  Method 1
  Step 1: I suggest to start the computer in safe mode with network and check if the problem persists.

  Step 2: If the problem is solved in safe mode with network then I suggest you perform the clean boot and remove the program that is causing the problem.

  I suggest you to update all the drivers from the manufacturers Web site:

  Note: When you run the disk check, you may lose some data that is corrupted. And also when you re-install Windows vista I suggest you to save the data.

  I'm having a problem with my phone contacts. I woke up one morning and they were all GONE! I have imported the SIM card - and had to edit everything manually, because they are from a previous phone, and the names were all screwed up and scrambled.

  A week later, the SAME things happens - NO contacts! But this time, when I try to import, it says: "error importing. No contacts were imported. An error has occurred. "

  exporter export to a file, import into google contacts and synchronize with google? Not sure if you can export to a file or not-, but there must be a way.

• Z10 blackBerry lost all phone contacts after the OS software updated 10.1.0.273

  I got an update of the software and has accepted it. After that the update was on two things that happened.

  1. my outgoing emails from my email box began to fade, before the current version of software, the emails would not go out.

  I tried to restore my last backup before the update of the operating system, but could not retrieve phone contacts in the restore option.

  My new Z10 has all my work to the Outlook Contacts - contacts contain e-mail and phone information. But when I use the Z10 as a phone, there is no listed contacts I press the touch phone button. The Z10 not automatically link contacts in the 'Contacts' application to the list of contacts in the phone app? If this is not the case, how can they be imported to phone contacts list? I copied my contacts from the SIM card, but still nothing appears in the list of contacts from phone. I read the suggestion 'reset the diagonal sliding phone' in anorther thread but slippery diagonal has no effect on my phone.

  In the last few hours, I discovered the answer to my own question. My Blackberry is provided through my hospital and their COMPUTING service has enabled a policy built into the design of Blackberry which deals with the application phone as a private application and it blocks share the contact information in the application contact (which is linked to the corporate Server Outlook). Alors_que is boring (a phone with no contact), the solution is to make phone calls by opening the Contacts app first and throwing the phone call from here.) Seems ridiculous and I drew the he to his attention here, but there is probably an explanation of good security.

  I recommend that you try to start safe mode:

  It will take several attempts to get the combination of keys ESC (press/release/hold) OK, so be patient. When properly in Safe Mode, see what happens.

  If the behavior continues, then well... think what happened just before this behavior started? A new application? An update? A theme? Something else? Think carefully that the slightest change can be causal... and try to undo all that was.

  But if the behavior continues mode without failure, you may need to consider more drastic measures - WIPE, OS Reload, BBSAK Wipe/Reload and the process of reloading OS 'skeleton '. To prepare, you should be sure that you have a full backup of your PC... Please see the Backup link in my sig auto on this post for instructions.

  Y at - it no filter applied? Go to Contacts > Options > filter > uncheck both.

  When I bought my Droid, Best Buy transferred my old phone to my Droid contact list.  It worked well until I must have hit some button that 'hidden' from my phone contacts list.  The list must always exist because when I get a call the Droid does appear the correct name from my list of contacts, but I still don't see the contact list when I touch 'Contacts' Does anyone know how to "Refresh" the contacts list view is visible again?

  Try this:

  Open your contacts

  Press the Menu key

  Select Display Options

  Click on your Gmail account

  Make sure that the correct option has a green check mark by it.

  I have not tried any of them.

  I have not heard of gmail is not importing the contacts without email.

  If you want to import your contacts on your phone and then it sync from there, to your gmail account, follow these steps to enable synchronization with gmail before you import the contacts. If you do not need to sync with gmail contacts, that you don't have to follow the steps I've linked to.

  Contacts added to the phone will be synchronized with the Motoblur server, but you do not have access to modify or create groups. Contacts don't sync with Motoblur must be edited on the phone.

  I configured my Z10 (OS 10.3.2.2474) to access my contacts FastMail using Mac OS x Server.

  The contacts are downloaded to my phone and I can view, edit, and delete. All changes are synchronized with the FastMail server.

  I only have a problem: new contacts that I create using the Z10 are not uploaded to the server. Stay on the phone, they are not synchronized.

  Unfortunetly it does not solve the problem. But I managed to solve the problem by changing my FastMail account type: before I had a user to a family account and now I have changed to an individual account. After that everything works fine.

• IOS 10.02: Phone/contact App suspended for a few seconds

  I'll have a problem in which whenever I go through contacts in the phone app or change any contact then iphone more 6s will hang for 2-3 seconds. I have IOS 10.0.2 will fix this problem but its not yet solved. My observation is that every time the application attempts to fetch/update of data in icloud then I'm having this problem.

  Thank you for using communities Support from Apple.  From your post, I understand that your phone app seems to become temporarily unresponsive when you edit your contacts. I'd be happy to help you!

  I have some troubleshooting I want to recommend. Before you begin, please create a backup of your iPhone, by following the steps described here: How to back up your iPad, iPhone or iPod touch

  Once your backup has been created, try the following steps, in order. Test after each step completed, stopping when the problem is resolved.
  

  1. Force to close the phone application, then restart it and return to the Contacts section. You can find a way to force close apps here: force a nearby app on your iPad, iPhone or iPod touch
  2. Restart the iPhone, as detailed here: restart your iPad, iPhone or iPod touch
  3. Restore iPhone to factory settings, following this article: use iTunes on your Mac or PC to restore the iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to factory settings

     Once the restore is complete, configure the iPhone as a new device (i.e. without using your backup, at least temporarily). You can register in iCloud iMessage, FaceTime and iTunes and the App Store using your Apple ID.

     If adding contacts does not cause the application to phone to become unresponsive, you can restore your backup by following the steps described here: restore your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch from a backup

  I had some Favorites in my phone since I got it. Some of my favorites have multiple phone numbers. It is used to allow a choice of what number is the first number preferred using the arrow and choose. However, that work is no longer works. I turned off the phone, changed the contact and even then removed re - add to Favorites.

  I think that you are referring to your Favorites in the phone app.

  Click 'Edit' at the top right.  Then, you will see three horizontal lines stacked to the right of each preferred telephone number.  Simply raise or lower by dragging the three horizontal bars at the same time, and you can place phones in any order you like.

  This feature is available since many versions of iOS.

  I need to import my contacts from my phone to my Thunderbird account on a Windows 7 system.

  Can I import contacts into a folder of Windows 7 by default called "contacts", located under the desk, (computer name), app data, but I can not move from there into Thunderbird.

  I have Samsung's Kies3, but there is no function to download my address book on my desk other than default to the folder 'contacts' of Windows 7 (sentence above).

  It seems like Microsoft is trying to sabotage every effort to co-operate with Mozilla's Thunderbird.

  If anyone has found a work-around?

  Install MoreFunctionsForAddressBook (How to install), then open address book, contacts/import vCard/vcf MoreFunctionsForAddressBook/tools/Actions, then select the vcf files in the "Contact import" window (Ctrl + A to select all files in a folder).
