Phone Pro U500 will not start

Cannot start my Pro U500, when I press the power on button of the projector must enter, there is a kind of noise as the HD tries to start, then everything goes off, then about 5 seconds later turn it on again and he's trying to start again, with the same result, it might take for me to leave power.

All ideas, took out the battery and power left and it's still there, held the power button for a minute to reset the motherboard, but nothing.

Hi portellen,

Official website of Toshiba, I found an interesting article on this subject:
[What steps must be followed if your Toshiba laptop does not start? | http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums/ann.jspa?annID=21]

I hope it works and if not, it seems to be a hardware malfunction, but if your laptop is under warranty, an authorized service provider can solve this problem for free. :)

Works for keyboard, but F2, F8 or F12 will not do anything, I can't here the disk hard powerup but it's like no one is at home. I don't know if it's the motherboard or the onboard battery. The computer is about 7-8 years

    Can anyone help.

It s certainly nothing wrong with a RTC battery (as you said internal battery).
The RTC battery can be charged. The unit must be turned on and adapter must be connected at least for about 18 hours.
But I guess that this isn't a problem.

The laptop does not start because of a hardware malfunction, but it's hard to say what role may be affected. But you should absolutely consult the RAM modules.
This should be the first step, since the RAM modules are easy to replace.

All other parts should be checked by the type of service.

  • Satellite Pro L10 will not start - the LED blinks

I have a pro l10 phone which, after sutting down as battery not return to life. All I get is 8 flashes on battery led when the button is pressed. It's the same area only, battery only or both.

    It sounds bad
Generally, the laptop LED flashes as there might be a hardware malfunction.
The LED provide a microcode and the technician can read this code.
A common user is not able to read. OK maybe you can read it, but you will not find any description about the meaning of the code.
That is why it s a good idea to contact the technician in your country

But as a first step, try this:
Remove the battery and unplug the AC adapter.
Wait 20 - 30 minutes and then plug in the battery and plug in the AC adapter.

  • Satellite U500 will not start

    Hello

I have a problem with my Toshiba U500 after I installed additional 2GBs of ram that the laptop does not start.
He died immediately after, after I press the turn on button.

    The leds blink normally.
I already tried to remove the new RAM and tested new and old memorys in different locations.

I also tried to reset the bios by removing the cmos battery, but it seems that you cannot be disconnected.

    Any help would be appreciated.
Sorry for my bad English and thanks in advance.

    Hi mate

Notepad starts correctly using the old modules shipped with the laptop?

In my opinion, you bought RAM that is not fully compatible with the laptop or BIOS.
In this case, you should test the device with other modules of RAM of the manufacture of some users here in the forum reported problems with the essential modules I use Kingston modules and my notebook starts fine

  • Satellite Pro L500 will not start on battery only

    Hello!

I recently bought a Satellite Pro L500 and have the following problems.
My laptop does not start on battery only. The Green led comes on and stays with the laptop in a gel (nothing appears on the screen).
The only way to get this light off is to remove the battery.

Starts EVERY time with AC power connected (with or without battery)-normal lights are displayed when connected.
Works quite normal, once started - with or without power connected

SOMETIMES starts with the battery only if I boot in a short time after I've used the laptop
I tried the static release process but does not work. (hold button power supply without battery or power supply connected etc..)

After having this problem, I've updated to the latest version of the BIOS but nothing helped
Tried a different battery and did not help
    Is a Toshiba Satellite PRO L500 T4400 4GB 15 "laptop Win7 - only 3 weeks or so old

    Very annoying!
    Please anyone with a solution?

    Hello

    Try this.
Remove the battery, disconnect the adapter and then wait a while. I would like to leave it disconnected for about 12 hours.
Together the two parties again, charge the battery and then remove the power adapter.
Then try to turn on the unit using only the battery.

If that does not help, then you should get in touch with your ASP as fast as possible since the guarantee is valid and would cover all the checks of the equipment and replacements.

  • Satellite Pro A60 will not start up CD/DVD

I have the above and it does not start from cd/dvd. I know that the cd/dvd is bootable and works well. I can boot from the floppy drive and access the cd/dvd without problem, but that dose not allow me to load windows XP. If this is not the drive or the cd/dvd. So what is the problem?

    Paul

    Hello

How did you try to boot from the CD drive?
Have you tried to press the C key immediately after starting the laptop?

Alternatively, you can press F12. The start menu should appear and you should be able to choose the drive as a boot device.

  • Satellite Pro A120 will not start

    Sorry for the bad English!

    My computer does not start.
I want to install a BIOS but plugging it into another computer, but I don t know how?

I think it s not a faulty BIOS, but I think that the virus on your laptop caused this problem.
The error message says it all:
+ Malware accesses the memory read +.
    + bios problems +.

If you are not able to boot up the laptop, or on the CD recovery, (XP, Linux) bootable CD or HARD drive, then it s a serious problem and you should certainly contact the ASP in your country.

If you are a lucky man then the ASP technician would be able to flash the BIOS ROM by using a special procedure and the laptop should work again.

    Good bye

  • Satellite Pro L10 will not start

    Hi guys,.

I have a Sat Pro L10 and I have a few problems with it. When I load up, I can enter the BIOS and everything seems fine, however, the date and time does not. I can't ge start beyond that point, it crashes just with a cursor flashing at the top left. The same goes for when I try and boot from CD. When I go out and put the battery back, I get a message saying WARNING CMOS Checksum failed - using the old configuration, F1 to resume or F2 to enter setup. I press F1 and the same again, just a flashing crusor.

If anyone can help me diagnose this problem and fix it, it would be much more appreciated.

    Best regards
    James

    Hello

At first read s manual, page 100 as well as page 104. You will find explanations on CMOS Checksum failed.

To have fully loaded CMOS laptop battery must be powered ON 24 hours.

  • Mac Pro 2009 will not start, no edge

On Thursday, June 16, I sat to use my Mac Pro early 2009. I noticed that my Mac would not wake up by mouse click or the SPACEBAR on the keyboard. The led on my Mac, so I immediately thought that it was a problem with the graphics card.

I force shut down the Mac by holding the power button. I waited 10 seconds and turned on my Mac back, everything was fine and I worked on my Mac for 3 hours.

Last night 18 June I sat watching television when I heard the ringtone on my Mac Pro, I realized was a reboot. I went to the wire and connected and everything seemed fine. However later in the evening, I noticed a flashing LED on one of my two monitors. Once the Mac was on (fans spinning) but no signal to the monitor.

I made another force off now the power button on Mac, but now when turn on the Mac there is no boot chime or control signal.

I upgraded the graphics card to an AMD Radeon Sapphire HD 7950 in April 2013.

Any advice would be much appreciated as I'm in the middle of a big project.

Could also be a Mac Pro RAM chip inyour failure, sounds almost identical to a question I've had recently, I found the missing question when I removed the memory card.

If one of the pair of cards, you will need to remove two cards.

Try taking the memory OUT n test each module one at a time. Also check RAM editing maps, if none of the four lights on the two cards is turned on it idicates a defective module.

  • Satellite Pro U500 will not load

    Hi all

I have a little used old U500 of 2 years, and I am puzzled.

A few weeks ago I noticed my light on and it would not charge battery charge.
I didn't watch the charger light on the transformer - which was lit, so ended up paying £20 for a battery note that it would not yet of course load wasn't a bad battery.

On the plug-in transformer/charger light showed green so I guess then it must be a faulty Jack inside my machine because there was able to get out the transformer plug / the green light is on.

Today I disassembled the machine and I have replaced the plug connector on the motherboard - no problem, it starts and it is not yet taken on a charge. I have spent £30 on this piece of cr@p so far, should I now buy a new cable from charger etc?

I have a faulty plug/transformer - despite the green light showing that is powered or is there anything else I can try?

The charge or power on my laptop light is lighting up.

    Help, please!

    see you soon
    Craig

    Hello

I would be really surprised if someone here would be able to tell what's wrong with the laptop, I doubt that this is possible without test equipment and execution of some hardware diagnostic tests.

    > Have I not a defective/transformer Plug - despite the green light showing that is powered or is there anything else I can try?

I don t think that the power adapter is faulty. As I understand you, the laptop features and you can use it plugged in. This means the AC adapter to power the laptop and this means that the adapter is ok.
In General, you should be able to use the laptop, even if the battery is removed. So in my opinion, it seems like that the question must be related to electronic on motherboard problems because the new battery does not solve this problem of load

By the way: it's your BIOS up-to-date? Would be interesting to check this

  • Satellite Pro L10 will not start the system

    Hello!

I have a Toshiba Satellite Pro L10, which won't work for some reason any.

The last time that I used it, it worked perfectly fine, but now all I get is a black filtered message on "windows starts do not successfully»

It indicates that the computer is not responding and asked me to choose one of the five options - safe mode, safe mode with network, security mode command, last known configuration, prompt or start windows normally.

There is also a 30 second countdown if I do nothing the portable samekh automatically.
It is, none of these things work.

Everything that happens with any option is to a thought very much time on things, then it goes to a black screen with a time/processing bar downstairs, then when that ends it turns itself off, samekh, mw windows page shows (with f2 and f4/f10? options) and the process is repeated.

He did about 50 times now and still nothing.
I tried the command ctrl/alt/del, I tried to turn if off and try again, I even opened the f options but I don't know enough about computers to do more.

    Help, please!

If possible I would like to get the computer on long enough to verify what documents I have on this subject before I can back up (if necessary) and restore it to the factory settings (as I predicted), or if this is not possible, I do not think that there is a lot to lose in this respect in any case, am prepared to take it all back to factory if necessary. I have all necessary installation CD and manuals to go with.

hope this makes sense and I gave you all you need to know.

    Thanks, B

It seems that the laptop is not able to boot the system, but I m not quite sure if it s because of the defective system or HARD drive corruption.
If it s just a system problem, the installation of the new Windows operating system should help you to get it resolved.

In case the HARD disk is defective, you need to replace the HARD drive and reinstall the system.

  • Satellite Pro L100 will not start setting in motion

I live in the UNITED Arab Emirates.
My friend in the United Kingdom made me this laptop and it does not turn it on. However, if I remove the battery and put back again its just trying to throw the lights flash and it turns off again.

I tried with just battery plug into the socket to battery power when the power plug is inserted, it tries to start and turns off again. So if I remove the plug and put it in the system tries to start but shuts down.

Can u let me know what should be wrong and how can I sort?

    Hi Martin

Sorry to say, but it looks like a hardware problem and it is not easy to say what could be wrong without checking the laptop only computer parts.
It could be any malfunction of the motherboard or CPU fault.
    Maybe a power electronic malfunctions.

However, I don t think you will be able to solve this problem yourself and get the notebook running without any additional help.

You really should contact the service point in your country for more details
    Good luck
