Phone vibrates when a SMS is received

I just noticed this and I don't know how long it's happened, but I can't find any setting to get the phone to vibrate when I get a text message. I can have it make a noise or be silent, and the phone vibrates very well when I get a call.

I did a factory reset in a few weeks, so that will not solve the problem.

Is this just a thing of gingerbread that happened for a while, or is my phone being unusual?

Open to the top of your screen of text message. Press menu, then message settings. The last option is the vibration option. Enjoy!

  • DEXT does not vibrate when you receive a text

Ive checked all the settings and Yes is checked so that it can vibrate when a message is received, but nothing happens. I also checked that works of vibration function and it seems to be good when you use something like the handcent app. Any suggestions on how to make it vibrate again using basic sms application or disable notifications for the application of sms by default when a sms is received would be greatly appreciated

So even if you have "checked" box in your settings so that it can vibrate, now you must get in your 'message' folder, and once you're there and see the messages text, e-mail, facebook, or what you have, you then click on the "4-square" button on the phone and press "e-mail settings" then choose text or electronic mail messaging etc., then you will be able to choose notifications or vibrate and make sure that is checked.

That was my problem, it has not been verified. could be the problem, if this isn't the case, return the phone and get a brand new!

  • not ring or vibrate when a text message

This problem started after I downloaded the 4.1.57 update yesterday.
My phone is sound and I start noticing that my video audio text was no more. I checked to make sure if the same was for when people call me, and there was no problem there. My ringer turn off again no problem when I get a call, just no sound when a text/email is sent to me.
And also my phone vibrates when I get a text as well. It starts to vibrate for a call and other applications, simply do not notify me when I receive a text.
I tried to play with the settings and had no luck fixing it.

    Any ideas?

Open the messaging app and select "menu" + "E-mail settings" and "SMS". There, ensure that there is a tick next to "vibrate". Hope this helps

  • Phone has stopped hanging and vibrating when I receive new e-mail

My 6s phone hung recently arrested and vibrating when I get my new messages. I have reset all settings and also saved and restored the phone without success. All other apps work like alert messages, only problem with the mail application.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If your sounds and notifications are defined correctly and do not disturb is not on then try to reset the mail application.

First close your Mail application completely from the window of the selector app by double clicking the Home button and drag the email preview pane up until it disappears from the display. You may need to search the mail pane covering scribbles to the left. Then go to settings > Mail, Contacts, calendar > find your e-mail provider and click on the account. On the next page, delete the account. Then perform a forced reboot. Hold down the home and Sleep/Wake buttons simultaneously for about 15-20 seconds , until the Apple logo appears. Then go to settings > mail... and to add the account.

  • Compact Z5 - no vibration when receiving text if the phone is in vibrate mode

I guess that once we put the phone vibrates, then it will vibrate for incoming text? If not, is there a way to make it vibrate? TIA

I think that you have disabled the vibrations from the message settings. Go to messages, press 3, then go to settings. You must activate the vibration of the notification.

  • Phone vibrates on SMS, while using battery saver.

Greetings. I use Xperia Z5 with all the possible official updates installed, and because STAMINA mode missing on 6.0, I almost always use battery saver mode. My problem is, when I silence the phone in BS ring, it vibrate on incoming calls, but not messages or notifications. I tried no BS and it vibrated on both. How can I configure my phone vibrate on notifications when it is all two reduced to silence and activated battery saver?

No, you can't. This is how works battery saver. It limits the vibrations to important events only, in this case, the calls are important as an sms. vibration consumes more battery that is why it is limited by battery saver

    Hey Nishya12,

Thank you for using communities of support from Apple!

From what I read, it seems that your iPhone on iOS 9.3.3 5s is not cling your text/iMessages. I'd like to keep track of these conversations myself I'll be happy to help you.

Because you used the link at the bottom of the use of Messages with your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch to get more help, I'll assume you have check the Messages on your iPhone settings. If you do not, click the link and check that everything is configured correctly.

iMessages is part of the iOS on your iPhone, in order to have this behavior as you described refers to a problem with the installation.

Save your iOS device - install a new clean copy of iOS on your iPhone, is what we call here. Since this process will erase everything, I highly recommend making sure your personal data is safe to backup and first.

Use iTunes on your Mac or PC to restore your iOS device - to install a new copy of iOS, your iPhone will be erased completely and that cannot be done via iTunes on a computer. In the settings of the iPhone doesn't that erase your personal information.

Once your iPhone has rebooted, you will configure your phone as a new iPhone this time. If you wish, you can connect to dive into iTunes and App Store and iCloud. At this point, check iMessages and see if it keeps your messages after they are sent. If so, the next step.

Restore your iOS device from a backup - now you're ready to bring your information to your iPhone. Just follow the steps described in this article.

Take care and have a nice day!

  • My Iwatch vibrate when you receive a text. Should she make a sound?

My shows I vibrate when you receive a text. Should she make a sound?

    Hi Larry

Sound alerts and haptic depend on your settings. To check their:

On your iPhone, app in the watch, go to: My Watch (tab) > Messages.

-For example, you might set this parameter to custom, and then, under alerts, select each of the alerts to show, sound and Haptic.

Also on your iPhone app in the watch, go to: Watch My > sounds & Haptics - check that:

    -The alert Volume selector is where you want it to be;

    -Silent Mode is not enabled;

-The switch force haptic is in the central position or the right hand.

-Eminent Haptic is enabled (to get before announcements of current alerts).

  • Apple Watch gives a warning sound or vibration when it is out of reach with your iPhone?

Apple Watch gives it its warning or vibrates when it is out of reach with your iPhone? If so, how to set up? If this is not the case, why they have this important function, so we do not lose our phones?

    Hello

Apple Watch does not currently offer them alerts audible or haptic if it is taken out of the reach of the paired iPhone Bluetooth. When devices are disconnected via Bluetooth, if the watch is also impossible to connect to a Wi - Fi network, known at that time, it will display the icon disconnected at the top of the face of the Watch:

However, you can find this application useful third party:

If you want to suggest that Apple considers adding Bluetooth disconnection as a built-in alerts, you can do so here:

  • 6Plus iPhone vibrates when it is plugged in to the charger

    Hello

I recently received a 6Plus of the iPhone, which vibrates, rather that in fact no noise when I plug to charge. My previous iPhone (iPhone 5) makes a noise when I plugged it, as does my iPad Mini 4. When all three of these devices have been implemented, I don't know more invited to make a choice as to whether "vibrate or make a noise or both or neither of the two, when connecting to power". I remember that old iPhone 3 g my mother my, or she if current iPhone 5 makes a noise or vibrates when it is plugged, or if it is both. His iPad Mini 2 only makes a noise when it is plugged SOMETIMES. It can also vibrate at the same time SOMETIMES. I can't find any setting to change my iPhone 6Plus to "vibrate when connected to power" "make a sound when connected to power. I also looked for the same thing on my mothers iPad Mini and my Mini iPad AND iPhone 5, but without success.

I noticed there are a heck of a lot of choice of tones "alert" and "ringtones" and the choice of "modes of vibration" (including the "personalized") as well as the 'Alerts' to make decisions on, but I see NO option to "connect to power.

Did anyone here knows the answer?

In addition, if the 'her' vibrator are selectable from the same list as the ringtones and text alerts?

    Hello again,

I would have closed at the end of the above message, but cut and paste crashed my iPhone 6Plus when writing above message.

    Thanks for any help

    Bob
