  No shortcut keypress does exist, that the mouse, right click and select "Edit in"-"open as layers in Photoshop.

  CTRL + E will open several photos in the PS and the separate images which can be superimposed by a drag & drop using the tool 'move '.

  I have a question about the features of lightroom. I'm still not a photoshop user so I hope that people can understand if I do not use the right conditions. From the website, it seems that lightroom is a photo editor and organizer of image file. If I do not need an image file Organizer is there a reason to buy lightroom instead of photoshop or photoshop elements. Lightroom has features that are not in photoshop elements or not in the full version of photoshop for image editing?

  get the panics of the kernel on my new imac... operating system wiped and reinstalled twice and still got the kernel panics.  This happens when I work in Photoshop... but that's all I really use so no just to say what the reason for the panic.  That said, I read that panicked the kernel could not be caused by a software.  is this accurate?

  If you do not have Photoshop installed CC, my next suggestion would be for you to remove the preferences file and let Lightroom create a new. Here's the location of the Preferences file:

  Follow the instructions for your operating system. Once you delete the preferences file and Lightroom creates a new one that I think Lightroom should see your installed version. If this does not work I have no other ideas other than to put up your version of Photoshop as a secondary Editor.

  So, in my words, your picture has not changed somehow in Photoshop. There is no sense and doesn't matter the number of ppi. The important numbers are pixels.

  Seriously Teddy5555, this isn't a problem with Lightroom.  If PhotoShop is not installed on your computer, then you cannot directly photos to edit in PhotoShop, nor can you merge to Panorama in PhotoShop.  If it is not installed, you must install it to make it work.

  6 LR and LR CC 2015 have the ability to merge with a Panorama in LR itself as shown below, but I don't remember if it was available in LR 5.

• Lightroom does not open as layers in PS CS5

  I'm at my wit's end. Whenever I try to open my photos in LR 5 in the form of layers in Photoshop CS5, it says that it Photoshop may not be able to open images without Camera Raw 8.7.1. When I click on open anyway, nothing happens.

  I used to be able to open some things very well, but I don't know why it doesn't work anymore. I tried to update a thousand times (which does not help because there is no Camera Raw 8.7.1 to PS5), I made sure all my programs are up to date, but nothing I try helps. The same thing happens whenever I try to do panoramic images from LR to Psalm I am a Windows user, any help anyone has would be really appreciated.

  You cannot open the new model in CS5 camera raw images directly because the device you are using does not support provided ACR with CS5 version.

  LR 5.7.1 includes ACR 8.7.1 to be able to open the images that you will not need to use LR to 'Edit' then select PS CS5. With this, you will get a dialog box asking if you want to open a copy by setting the RL, a copy without LR adjustments or the original. You must select a copy with or without adjustment of LR, depending on what you want. And then a TIF or PSD will be sent to the PS (TIF or PSD according to what file format selected in the External Editor of LR preferences tab).

  Nothing new about this. Adobe removes all the new camera support for older versions of PS and LR. Been like that since I started to use the PS in the early 2000s and LR since LR 1.

• Is there anyway to keep the layers in Photoshop Elements when recording in format .jpg?

  I am new to the use of PES and I like their concept of layers so that the original photo is not altered, however, my preference is to save all my files using .jpg.  I actually discovered yesterday that after 3 weeks of scanning in very old family photos, then using PSE11 and using layers and then backup to .jpg, now when I open it again these files in EPS that the layers created have disappeared.  Help, please!

  Thanks for the recommendation on Googling PSD to JPEG conversion that I'll look in.  My plan is I think the first scenario that you mentioned.  I spent a week off the coast during Christmas pictures old many sorting that I inherited and have since bought an Epson V600 Scanner that came with Photoshop Elements.  I spent a number of weeks of research on the best practices to use with the Epson scanner analysis, then an equal amount of time familiarizing myself with Photoshop Elements I've ever used before.  In particular, compared to the other I used photo editing tools, I really like the ability to retouch PSE and localized sharpening / Brush tool for a lot of old photos that aren't in the best of shape.  To change things (just if I'm not scanning for a year and then touching up for another year +), I'm scanning a group of photos I've sorted by theme and then spending time using Photoshop on these, and most of the time I'm scanning only pictures of people that I know to be members of the family or friends of family nearby. Once this batch is finished, I was moving to the next batch of scanning and treatment with PSE.

  Funny you should mention the kodacolor the slides that you have scanned.  I did this same work (approx. 5000 slides that my dad had in his lifetime) about 7 years ago with a slide scanner that I bought at the time.  Like you, I've scanned everything and then using a tool (Zoombrowser) editing of Canon, I hit only these slides scanned with meaning for me.  Now the phase 2 (7 years later) is scanning in all my photos of old parents, and I've already sorted on the pictures, I think no family, so now are using PSE, I expect I'll do some sort of button until most of them.  Sorry for the lengthy response, but I enjoyed reading of your recommendations and appreciate the help and guidance you provided.  Thanks for all your help and your time.

• What would be the best video editing and photo editing software to use for an iMac for advanced users?

  My first exposure to video and photo editing is on a PC with Adobe Premier and Adobe Photoshop.  I own a Macbook Air and have used iMovie and iPhoto.  It took me a few years to sort and organize thousands of photos archived and videos.  Now, with the changes in Final Cut Pro and the loss of the opening, I am, even once, sitting on the fence.  Compatibility between the software has always been a controversial issue and that you accumulate more and more files, it would be nice if Apple should keep in mind to develop software that can be upgraded seamlessly without losing or change any data.  For example, the photo is correct, once you become familiar with it. However, personally, I like the way events were created in iPhoto, but also how you can scrub through each event, just sweep a finger of each event.  Now in the Photos, you need to scroll right rows and rows of pictures, which seems to be a step backward when it comes down to the speed and convenience. I finally have the time to go back to my hobby of video editing and I was about to buy an iMac or a Macbook Pro.  What is the best choice for video and photo editing, or should I be looking back to Adobe?

• Need help with photo editing

  Hello! So, I'm new here and this is my first post. (BTW, I CS6 and spin 10 Pro Windows)

  I have some photos that I need PhotoShop/edit. I take photos which are usually resolution 760 x 1024 and what makes them in 16:9 aspect ratio pictures without stretching it. What I use is Microsoft paint and cut the whole photo, stretching of the canvas up to 1920 x 1080 (16:9 ratio), paste the cut image where I want in the photo, then I select anywhere from 15 to 200 pixels (depending on the photo) of the side and stretch it across the empty space to fill it so the sides are not empty. Having a sense what I do? It has some drawbacks for me however, 1. When upscaling (to facilitate the 16:9) 1920 x 1080 my photos in bulk a few details and objects are a little wavy at the edges should be smooth. 2. when extending over the sides, it tends to not be able to choose the top and low 1 or 2 pixels so I must fill this space using the tools I have. 3. it is extremely laborious when you make several photos and faster I can do best. 4. it is Microsoft paint, sucks compared to PhotoShop, lol, duh. So I need some help with what I've done (the process I explained) makes faster and better.  I Photoshop CS6 (version student and yes I am a student), I have not used but... why the hell not? Well I installed on my PC a year or two before and then had problems of PC so I did a fresh install of Windows and reinstalled never, I thought I was going to need, but don't have, which is why I've never used it. Now, I do some photo editing and thought why not use PhotoShop? I did nothing as deactivate the license on my PC before reinstalling my Windows, whatever? I'm going to do a fresh install of windows on my desktop (first time in two years) on a new 512 GB Samsung SSD Pro 850 and I'm waiting for the SSD happen, so I was thought for now I would just use it on my laptop (1 TB EVO 850), but the license allows multiple PC even if I was the only one to use it? Is also easy/fast to learn PhotoShop? All I have to do is a photo of basic editing. Hope that everything I said is logical.

  Yes, you can install Photoshop CS6 on two machines.

  You had it previously on the same machine and I think you would have to reinstall it on the even later, so that would not cause any problems.

  You can do all of these steps to resize an image in Photoshop without going into the paint.

  In Photoshop, open you picture and go to Image > size to resize and choose the desired image dimensions
