I have no idea what browser should I use to open files in Firefox, I used the browser default Mozilla initially which caused me a lot of problems so I stopped using it but don't know alternatives, could someone please because I can't open any files at all now.

SRware Iron - cannot get it my default browser

Hello, I can't get SRware Iron to be my browser default despite clicking on all of the right buttons ('make my default browser' on the launch, go to Options etc). I have a Windows 7 laptop and use a dongle broadband 3. Can anyone help? Thank you.

SRWare has a forum of users who have at least an examination of this issue and the solution. The title of the thread specifies Vista but there is only Windows 7 messages in as well. How can I turn off default 1 search result in the awesome bar?

Since the release of 43, it seems that the Awesome bar fills the first result as a generic 'visit' or 'Search' for anything typed in the bar. It's very frustrating because I know where I want to go, and my search history used to fill specific sites, I went to. This new feature to the Awesome Bar takes you is a generic search engine default search, or right on the first page for a specific site.

For example, it may be a forum page that I regularly to. and in the latest Firefox would fill this page first in my results, which allows a fast navigation. However, the most recent update makes it do that the first result is a query to perform a generic search for what I typed in, or at best to take me to the first page of the site in question, make me have to either type the URL complete, favorite every page ever, I want to navigate to and just use bookmarks now or , or cross my fingers and pray that they default 1 result in the Awesome bar accurately reflects my wishes of navigation (which he never does).

Why can't I add certificates on the default firefox profile?

I use the NSS certutil command to add a certificate profiles users on OS X (10: 8-10) running Firefox ESR 31.4.

There is no problem in adding the cert for the existing user profiles, but I want to add so that new users who automatically connect to will have the cert installed.

If I understand correctly, I should be able to install the cert to a default profile in the application then will come out to new users when they run FF for the first time, but this was not the case in my tests. I use Safari as my main browser (it suits me). Sometimes I want to use Firefox because Safari sometimes does not work with some sites (Safari is an Apple product and not all sites work with it). I get conflicting information on how to create a generic profile to use throughout my organization. Using the Profile Manager is not relevant to my situation.
I tried placing files/folders in the directory "Default\Profile", "Browser\Default\Profile" directory, etc, and nothing is never copied into a new profile.
