Photo gallery of Back-up

How can I burn all the photos in the photo gallery of discs. I have windows 7. If it takes more than one disk, how to make the transition. One of the reasons I want to do it are so pictures can be loaded in another gallery of photos windows 7 PC. Is this a problem.

Hi Ken,

I wouldn't recommend burning the pictures on a disc, if all you want is to transfer. If you have an external hard drive or USB memory stick key, it would be faster to copy on one of these. Most of the photos in Windows Live Photo Gallery is usually stored in C:\Users\username\Pictures. To access so that you can burn to a disc, or use one of the above options, click the start menu, and then click pictures. You can then press Ctrl + C to copy and Ctrl + V to paste in the disc you want. If you really want to use a disk to copy these, be sure to use a DVD, not a CD as DVD can contain about 4 GB of data, while the CD can contain only 700 MB. If you need instructions on how to burn a DVD, let me know.

I hope this helps!

Your photos are not 'in' photo gallery... it accesses just
the files where they are stored on your hard drive.

Open Photo Gallery Windows and right click on one of the
Photos and the Menu... Choose... 'Open file location '...
This is the folder that the photos are actually archived.

The only Photos archived by library are the original
copies of photos that have been published. They should be in
    the following location.

    C:\Users\\Appdata\Local\Microsoft\Windows
    Photos of Gallery\Original.
(Do not move or change these files, because it allows to avoid

  • Can I go back to Windows from Windows Live Photo Gallery Photo Gallery? Or they are exactly the same?

Windows Vista seems to have two galleries.  Windows 7 has Windows Live Photo Gallery, and it is much more difficult to keep track of the images.  They are a MESS constant, cannot find what I want, Windows Live Mesh does not seem to match these two formats of my two computers.  If I could just put all the photos in the order of at least cronological, but no, it's a MESS.

I want to be able to back up my tab 7 HD photos on my laptop. If I connect the devices, the laptop sees the slate internal memory card but I think the photo gallery is on the internal memory.

How can I access it to make a backup?

Hello and welcome to the HP support community!

Just to get on the same page, there are two locations storage-memory - internal (chip on the motherboard) and external (SD card).

You have an SD card inserted in the device?  Try going here and adjust the settings:

Options settings/storage/icon at the top right, as the connection of the computer 3 blocks vertical/USB /.  Change of DPW to PTP and see if your photos are displayed.

The Windows Installer Service could not be accessed.  This can occur if you are running Windows in safe mode (I'm not), or if Windows Installer is not correctly installed.  Contact your support team.  (The laptop has more than 5 years, there is no support staff).

  • Windows live photo gallery: original photos lost the transfer to the new computer

photos to the new computer, and the originals have not been transferred as im guessing they're saved in the software/program that cannot be transferred.

If there is not a way to transfer original and edited photos to the new computer, is there a way to return all original with a single click, so that I can transfer the originals on my new computer?

    Thank you.

Thank you, you saved my originals... I copy paste, but can not work how to connect my pictures changed to the originals so that I can click on my modified photos and click on 'back '.

    Thanks again

    ===========================================
Sorry, but I don't have the exact solution for re - associate the
originals with edited versions.  The only thing I would like to know
to try would be to place the originals in the original Images
    folder on the new system.

Maybe... I say just that maybe if you copied the photo gallery
exclusive database of the old system and used it to replace
the database on the new system. (Just copy and paste the file in)
the appropriate on the new system folder, and when you see
... dialog box you want to replace? with? Select Yes.

Also... you could instead of replace your new database...
rename it... Pictures.OLD for example. So if the replacement
do not re - associate files... you can remove the replacement
and rename the OLD version in what it was and the Gallery
must be as it was before the change.

Depending on the version of your photo gallery might be the database
    Pictures.PD5, Pictures.pd6, Pictures.pd7...

The path to the version of Win XP is:

    C:\Documents and Settings\ > user name<\Local>
    Application Data\Microsoft\Windows Live Photo Gallery\
    Pictures.PD4, Pictures.pd5 or Pictures.pd6

    Windows Vista:

    C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\Microsoft\
    Windows Photo Gallery\Pictures.pd4 or pd5 pd6

    Windows 7:

    Windows\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\
    Windows Live Photo Gallery\Pictures.pd6

(Sorry, but I'm not sure of the path in Windows 8 but if you)
do a search for PD6 PD7, you should be able to find it.

The former article is a user experience
with the shifting of the database... maybe it would offer a few ideas:
