  Camera Roll is home to these photos taken on your iPhone.  Those are the ones that must be imported.

  Photo stream is similar to iCloud photo library and is home to the photos that are already able to share.  They are not necessarily taken on the device that houses.

  What do you mean "they don't download", exactly what is happening.

  Hello, I have thousands of photos, some work related, and others in my family on my iPhone as iCloud.  I would like to download all photos of work in a folder on my desktop MacPro workstation, then delete those of my iCloud photo stream.  I need to keep these pictures work archived separately now that they've been taking is completed and delete them from my active library of Photos.  Can anyone recommend the workflow to achieve?  Thank you, Scott

  Perform a manual download to iCloud.com/Photos. Click Photos to select, and then hold down the option/alt key while clicking the photos. Click on download.

  iCloud is a synchronization service, NOT off of storage of the unit.

  You could cut the phone out of sync from your library. Just move them to your Mac and synchronize your Mac with iCloud. Now, you'll have plenty of space on your phone, but no pictures.

  From your Mac, you can then make an album with photos that you want to access from your phone. This will require ongoing work, but will keep your clear phone in most of the time.

  How you save for the email to Photos?

  If you ctrl - click the attachment of email and use "of exporting Photos", the photo will be imported to the Photos.

  Saving Photos from other applications is a little annoying, because the pictures do not appear in the album "last import.   The pictures that you have imported this way must have been added to your photo library, or you would not see them in my photo stream.  The photo stream shows all the photos that you have recently added to the library, to transfer them to other devices.

  You will find all the photos in your photo stream in Moments?  If this is not the case, there is a corruption in your library of Photos, then post back.

  Since late March or early April, all the time when I loaded the most recent upgrade of OS for my iPhone, the photos that I take on my phone is no longer make their appearance in my photo gallery on my Mac App photos. I have no desire to store all of my photos on iCloud (I take a lot with a DSLR in raw mode), but I did not desire to have my photos from my iPhone with my office of the Photos on my Mac app. I checked all the settings in my phone and on my Mac, and it seems that photos must be sent from my phone to my Mac via photo streams, but nothing happens.   1. you are 4 updates behind - the current software is OS X 10.11.4 and photos 1.5 - that may or may not be a problem but it's good to keep up to date and eliminate the bugs of the olf and add new features
