Photos in iCloud

It seems that I can not transfer all my photos to iCloud. Only those taken with an iOS device are transferred, while photos taken with my Canon EOS camera are not. Can anyone explain that?

Please start by telling us your 'My Photo Stream' and "iCloud library" settings on all of your devices. (Settings > Photos & camera on your device iOS and Photos > Preferences > iCloud on your Mac)

Please also indicate if there is no activity current synchronization on any of your devices (includes download, update, download, or preparation).

    Hello

I want to put my photos to icloud to free up space on my iPhone.

I am currently running 3 phones and 2 ipads under the one account.

    My questions are:

Pictures of my phone will be accessible on other devices or can I put only my phone?

If I put all my devices to store photos in the cloud, all the photos are mixed in a single accessible file on all devices?

My goal is to store all of the cameras to the cloud stored under each device, accessible only to see photos of each devices in a single place by connecting to icloud.

    Thanks for your help

To do this you will need to use the function "Optimize iPhone storage" under settings > iCloud > Photos.  Remember, you cannot store pictures in iCloud thinking you can remove everything from your device.

Once you turn on iCloud photo library, Yes, the photos will be available on all devices.

No, they will be downloaded to your iCloud library.

  • My photo library iCloud takes 2.5 GB of space, even if it is empty

My photo library iCloud takes 2.5 GB of space, although it contains no photos or videos. I had this problem for about 6 months.

Enter the photo library to iCloud and select 'Disable and remove' turns off iCloud photo library. Delete everything in your Photos app - don't forget to check the shared photos and all the albums. Then, re-enable iCloud photo library.

  • Library of mobile Photos with iCloud library enabled

TL; DR: Library of Photos while using iCloud does not merge, but adds the entire library to iCloud, once again, in my case upgrade my plan of storage while plenty of space for this merger

    All,

I have been using iCloud photo library for a long time now to synchronize photos between devices, and.

I'm running out of space in the drive of my Mac, and I wanted to move the library to the SD card, so I followed the steps to copy the folder and then selecting the alt-click on the Photos icon library.

It works, all (or most) of the exhibition of photos very well.

When I go into Preferences > iCloud he says "iCloud for Photos features are available in the library of the system", so I go to Preferences > general and click 'Use as library system' which I think is the correct step since I don't want to spend the entire hard drive and SD card is always connected (it's a Transcend JetDrive Lite 330 enough to store things I don't usually work) (such as photos, music, files ISO and VMs). ICloud options are available click on, so I check 'iCloud photo library' and then it starts to redownload my entire library

Since the library is the same, I wasn't expecting to download and let me upgrade my iCloud-storage plan. I did, for fear of deleting something, but I have always received a lot of space in my 50 GB plan that I can see in system preferences > iCloud (using the ~ 37 GB).

This is the expected behavior and what I need to download again, all my photos? They're all here already!

Are there additional steps to follow when moving the library AND iCloud is activated? I sure miss what is obvious, but I followed all the steps described in official documents and other internet resources, nothing helps, that is: no way to avoid the double space in iCloud so spend my iCloud storage plan.

    Thank you!

    Yes.

Photos will download the library once again, because it cannot be sure that the library has moved is completely identical.  It is downloaded again and check for duplicates. Once the download is complete, you use more storage than before iCloud, but it will take a lot of time.

But it shouldn't be necessary to upgrade the storage plan. You should be able to demote him again as soon as the download is complete.

What I do, when I want to move the library to a new location is to create a new empty library on the new drive and then turn on the library empty as the iCloud photo library. The library will be downloaded icloud in the empty library instead of download. It's faster and avoid the prompt to upgrade storage iCloud. But the drawback is that I need to name all the faces again, given that the faces does not synchronize to iCloud. And the projects will be missing.  I'm keeping a copy of the original library in the new location, so I can use old projects and can find faces in the event of doubt about a name.

  • Photo of icloud eliminating duplicates

After hours of photo editing to delete the duplicate 'on all my machines', I turned to icloud Photos and discovered that they were still there and several other copies of the same.   I see that I can remove a photo of the iCloud at once, but I do not see a way to select several images (now the SHIFT key) and then delete.

After hours of editing Photos to delete the duplicate 'on all my machines. "

You empty the album 'Recently deleted' to delete the photos terminally?

I turned to icloud Photos and discovered that they were still there and several other copies of the same.

Did you wait for the delition of synchronization?  It can take hours for the removal to synchronize with icloud.  Your Mac shows earlier "up to date" in the "Photos > Preferences > iCloud" or is he still saying "update"?

And if you scroll to the bottom of the tab Moments www.icloud.com photos, does always show updated?

The app is very slow display updates. Libraries of my Photos on my Mac synced with iCloud and demonstrate 453232 photos, but on iCloud the last 3000 photos that I took on a trip are still missing.

Do not delete photos directly on iCloud, then photos to www.icloud.com is always up-to-date.

  • Photos of iCloud is not equal to iPhone Photos

For the 1st time, I decided to take a look at my photos online on icloud.com--> iCloud Photos from iCloud complained that my storage was almost full.

When I compare my icloud.com photos with my iphone Photos, the content is totally different.

    I wonder why?

Until today I had used my photo stream on the iPhone and the opening.

Everything seemed to work as expected, IE: photos taken on my iPhone would be present in Aperture.

    Can anyone shed light regarding:

1 - Why the Photo content iPhone and iCloud online Photos are different?

2-if I delete the pictures online what will happen to the Photos on my iPhone or vice versa?

    3. can delete the photos online with no impact on my iPhone or opening photos?

Following my iPhone Settings (settings--> Photos & camera)

    + Configuration for opening iCloud.

There is a difference, because your image library to iCloud is not toggled on.

  • If I save my photos on iCloud is it OK to delete them on my iPad or who will lose their

IF I save my photos to iCloud is safe to delete them off my iPad to release a certain storage capacity

No it's not. If you use settings > iCloud > backup backup of the iPad to iCloud, be aware that the only thing you can do with the backup is used to do a full restore or configure a new iOS device. If you do a full restore, regardless of data/photos currently on the device will be replaced by the contents of the backup (for example, you would lose any new photos and other new information on the device since the last backup). Also future backups include is no longer deleted photos.

If you use settings > iCloud > Photos > iCloud photo library, know that it is a synchronization rather than a backup. All the photos you delete iPad will be deleted to iCloud and any other device connected to this library to iCloud. You can possibly reduce the required storage on the iPad by activating the storage parameter optimize on the same settings screen.

Apple does not currently of any option storage cloud for photos only. You can explore 3rd party opportunities such as Flickr, Dropbox and others who may have cloud options only.

  • Can't see all of my photos in iCloud on iPhone

I no longer see about half of my pictures on my iPhone iCloud 6, although they are still visible in the iCloud himself.

All of my photos in iCloud disappeared from my phone last week when I disconnected icloud photo library to try to restart the download process, as my photos had been stuck on my phone and not entered in the iCloud for a few months.  However, and without doing anything to remedy this situation the past few days, about 1400 photos were put back on my phone last night, of the iCloud - all the photos I have taken with my current phone.

Therefore, is there a way in which I can 'bring back' the remaining photos (i.e. those that I had taken on previous iPhones, are in the iCloud, and who were previously on this iPhone)?  Before the breakthrough last night, I had previously tried the usual solutions (i.e. of library iCloud switching between power; plug my phone wifi connected) but had no joy.  I also talked a great length with appple support on this issue.  The iphone is the only device I have.

    Be grateful for any ideas

  • Download multiple photos to iCloud for iPhone

    Hello

I'm trying to find a way to upload several photos at the same time of the iCloud on my iPhone. I took a folder from my computer Windows 10 and placed in the iCloud folder. He did download all these photos, about 100 of them. I opened icon iCloud, since my iPhone Home screen, and all the photos are in the folder.

The problem is, I don't see a way to download the photos on my phone. I can select several pictures, but I don't see the possibility of moving photos from one place to another within iCloud. If I open a photo it will then allow me to save the image on my iPhone, but I don't want to have to do it manually for each photo.

Is there a way I can move the entire folder of iCloud on my iPhone without doing this manually? I don't want to have to open each image, click on another icon, then click on save to the phone option, it would take a very long time.

If option 2 would just directly connect my phone to my computer and download the file to my phone via iTunes. However, it seems that this option is no longer available. When I selected my phone from iTunes, as if I want to sync my phone, but click on the 'Photos' option on the left, there is nothing that shows. The only thing that shows a message says "iCloud Photos is on. iPhone can access the photos in iCloud. Photos can be downloaded to your device via Wi - Fi or cellular network." It used to be that if I placed a folder in my photo album on my computer, it would automatically put this album on my iPhone folder when I did a sync via iTunes and is no longer does that. I don't know if there was some option that I disabled or if it is no longer do.

Someone has suggestions on how to easily do so that I can keep a clean and well organized album without a lot of hassle or everything is mixed together, or without having to save each image individually?

    Thanks for any help,

    Zines

  • Keep the photos in iCloud

Is there an easy way to keep photos in iCloud library without having to keep them on your device? Right now, if I take a picture, he transferred to iCloud. But, if I want to empty space on my device, remove this picture erase all of my devices including iCloud. I'm just curious to know if there is a way to have everything that I want to stay there all by allowing me to delete photos on my devices. Now, my only option is to download all photos on my Mac, but I would use iCloud if possible.

    Thanks in advance!

To reduce local storage on your iDevice set Photos settings to keep a local library optimized.

iCloud photo library is a service of synchronization between all your computers and devices. It is not an off-site storage or backup service.

  • Deleting my photos in iCloud

I have a library of Photos 22 GB on my iMac and also 50 GB of storage in iCloud.  For the last three months, I had my library of Photos stored in iCloud photo library.  I was on the phone with Apple for two months trying to solve a problem (my photo library iCloud always indicates I have 476 photos more than my library of Photos on my iMac and storage indicates clearly that I have 49 GB of my 50 GB available).  Apple is a loss to explain this!  They just keep telling me to wait and see if it fixes itself.  I figure another way to get my library of Photos from my laptop, and so have turned off my iCloud photo library and the days are countdown.  What happens then?  My question is how do I remove Photos that are still in the cloud?  What happens to them?  They disappear or are they retained by Apple?

If you have disabled and removed from the picture library to iCloud in the cloud, all photos will be deleted after 30 days (iso). Once this has happened, you can try him again. Just to be sure, what path did you take to disable and remove your iCloud library.
