Photoshop CS4: Using the pen tool to add corner rather than the curved anchor anchors

Hello people, I tried everything I could think about using different sentences, but have yet to find a way to do it or if it was possible. I'm working on a project that requires the addition of many corner anchors to paths. By default, using the feather of Photoshop CS4 adds curve anchors. Therefore I have to add the anchor and then convert it into a corner. Is there an easy way to make the PS to create corners instead of curves with the pen tool? Even using combos Shift-Ctrl-alt-click did not help? Would save me time and mental health!

Thank you all,

-DK

Try adding points with the normal pen, hold down the ALT key and clicking twice.

If the marquee tool worked correctly in the past, I would propose a reset of this tool.

Select the marquee tool, then go to the top where the Options are for her.

The left icon is the rectangular marquee tool. Right-click on it to display the reset menu, then choose "Reset Tool".

    Hello

    1. were you able to see the front dialog box?

    2. did you of recent changes to the computer?

This happens because your screen resolution is less than the required minimum of 1024 x 768.

You can try to change the resolution of the monitor and check.

For more information, see the link:

You can also refer to Adobe support links and also post your request in the Forum from Adobe for assistance:

  • Windows: Photoshop by using the incorrect monitor with two monitors profile

I have connected 2 very different monitors to my PC.
Both have been calibrated and I assigned the correct profiles for both monitors in the color management Panel.
I use Photoshop on monitor number 2 (the splash screen also appears when I start the program) but when I check that my color settings in Photoshop and click the dropdown menu, RGB workspace he mentions "Monitor RGB - [name of the profile number monitor 1] .icm" as my monitor RGB profile.
This is clearly the wrong profile since it must list the description regarding the number of Monitor 2.
Is there a way you can change it manually? Looks Photoshop always uses the profile to monitor number 1 any screen, you use for Photoshop.

As far as I know, it's normal. Registration is always your main screen, as set out in the operating system.

The question is - Photoshop uses the wrong profile for each display? Regardlass of registration, he must use the profile for display on each window of the image is. IOW, you can have windows image on both screens, and they all use the relevant profile.

You can test it by dragging it. When you cross the midline PS should change your profile when drop you and release the mouse.

But yes, it makes sense that Monitor RGB must be the view that contains the context of the application. I use monoecrans on my two systems, so I can't test this.

  • Photoshop CS4 and the mysterious disappearance of mobile dotted...

There are about ten minutes I was pruning the pictures in Photoshop CS4, the marquee tools suddenly lost their mobile dotted.

Now, when I click on the Rectangle tool and drag to select an area, the outline of the selected area is invisible--until I have let go of the mouse when it pops up as a continuous line.

I guess I must have turned off the mobile dotted somehow in error. How can I turn on their return?

A quick search gives to think I can hit CTRL + H or command + H to put the moving dotted lines on and off. None of them work for me.

Other suggestions I've found are "reset" of the tool (how?) - or install a new video card, which should not be a problem in my case. I have installed the updates - what literally happened there, in the workplace.

I use a Mac, OSX 10.8.5 if that makes a difference...

It MUST be a simple solution "click on such and such." Thanks in advance if you know!

I think perhaps that you have encountered a bug of display driver (or the exhaustion of resources).  Try to save your work, quit Photoshop, then restarting him.  Chances are that the ants will return for your picnic baskets.

  • Edit in Photoshop CS4 rotates the image

After completing the settings in Lightroom 3.2, if I then change the image in Photoshop CS4, the image rotates slightly to the right and affects all cropping and vertically adjustments, I've done in Lightroom. The rotation occurs when the image is opened in Photoshop so that when I return from Photoshop Lightroom that my image has changed (not counting those made in Photoshop). Why is this happening? I work under Windows 7.

CS5 manage adjustments of perspective and lens corrections?

I think he would. (Assuming that you actually use the lens corrections and this is the cause of the problem. It was not unclear to me from the original post).

... but Ctrl + Alt + E does nothing for me. Nothing happens with the latter. Maybe it's because I already use tlfusionexpress2 to Topaz as a secondary publisher of Lightroom.

Yes, that's the problem. You should go to Lightroom Prefs and add CS4 as an additional external editor. In this case, Lightroom will create TIFF/PSD derived before sending it to Photoshop. You should be able to run Photoshop in the menu change in .

The simple way to solve this problem is to reinstall.

There is also a python script License repair that you run the Terminal in OSX application.

  • Photo filter in CS4 - using the eyedropper does not work

Sometimes I correct a dominant book using the photo filter, a technique that I shot of Katrin Eismann "restoration and retouching" color all over.

You add a layer of Photo filter, make sure the 'brightness' checkbox is checked, push 'density' up to 100% and click the shade of color in the dialog box.

Select color filter dialog box opens, with digital displays for STL, RGB, CMYK and Lab color In addition, the cursor turns into a dropper.

You click in a box to the image problem. Change numbers. You reverse the 'a' and 'b' values in LAB color boxes. For example if LAB is called 65,16,24, you replace 16 and 24-16 and -24 (so that in my example the LABORATORY values are now 65-16,-24. You click OK and then adjust the opacity of the layer of color filter to your liking.

Today I tried this in CS4 for the first time. When I click in a box to the image problem, LAB values becomes 100,0,0 - whatever the picture, no matter where I click.

This result is not consistent. I did a number of tests on 2 different images, try stuff as brightness release, mowing the Photo layer filter to the underlying layer, use the dialog box filter of Photo that you can access from the bottom of the layers palette, rather than the settings panel, etc. Twice I got reasonable values when I clicked on the picture of the select a color filter dialog box. But try again the same parameters (brightness turned off, for example) into another image, or in the same image, led to the now dreaded 100,0,0

I have reset my prefs. Same result.

I got my partner to try it. He got the same result. I am running CS4 on Windows 7 x 64. It is on a Mac with Snow Leopard.

    Is this a known issue?

    Thank you

    Mary

This is because the layer mask is active and therefore clicking on the image with the eyedropper picked up the pure white of the layer mask. Hi, I have a photo im working on, which includes a part of another image as a layer above it... When I try to use the brush on the top layer, brush painted on the bottom. What I am doing wrong?

Make sure you are on the layer you want to paint by clicking on it, and it will highlight. Other than that, make sure that you use the standard Brush tool.
