Photoshop CS5.1 extract file is not executable.

I'm moving my Photoshop CS5 on a new computer.  When I extracted the file of decision-making support directed me to download, the file is not executable. The file extension is .8bf.  Does anyone know where the page is that I can download the original file?

Hi Kennethc28242699,

Please use the link below to download Creative Suite 5:

https://helpx.Adobe.com/Creative-Suite/KB/CS5-product-downloads.html

One time downloaded, compare the size of the downloaded file with the file size showing on this page, if they are same then come retrieve download and install it.

Just in case they are not same, temporarily turn all software security that is installed on your computer and try again.

Let us know if that helps.

  • Frame7.1 will not import Photoshop CS5.1 .jpg file

    I'm (reluctantly) in the migration process from Windows XP +.

    Photoshop CS V8.0 for Windows 7/64 bit + Photoshop CS5.1.

    FrameMaker 7.1 works well on XP and W7/64, including the generation

    PDF file. I can import .jpg files written by Photoshop CS. etc.

    ... except...

    If I open a (already imported) .jpg file checked using Photoshop

    CS5.1 and, without making any changes, save it, Framemaker may not

    more import it, either directly or by reference:

    "The filter has encountered an error and could not complete the.

    translation. "

    It seems that the Photoshop CS5.1 writes a file format different .jpg

    Photoshop CS (rhetoric: How can it be acceptable for CS5.1 to)

    change the format of a Basic .jpg file? but I digress...).

    Review the .jpg file original vs the .jpg file of CS5 I think:

    -The new file is smaller (79KB vs 82KO) - Note the two are small!

    -Content (reviewed by using a binary editor) is quite different.

    -Two versions of the same view, in CS and CS5.1 and in

    many viewers.

    I tried various experiments, try to understand this and have

    had no luck. I can open the CS5 Photoshop CS .jpg file and save it

    Once again but Framemaker will not open this version or the other, same error.

    This isn't a question of size of RAM (8GB), to space swap or something else

    associated with computer equipment. All SW updates are up-to-date, etc..

    I have tried to import into a new, by default the template file, etc.

    So, I tried recording in .bmp format and the first time I tried to import it

    FrameMaker died immediately: no trace of the stack, no error message, the

    Framework process had just disappeared. After the reboot, the 2nd attempt, I got one

    black rectangle size correct, but all black = not usable.

    Photoshop CS + Framemaker has worked well for several years, so I don't know

    It is a question of CS5.

    Anyone has any ideas on how to make CS5.1 to generate a file .jpg 'standard '.

    file?

    Anyone has any ideas on how to import images CS5.1 using

    FrameMaker 7.1?

    Please don't advocate the Framemaker to V10 upgrade... Adobe provides a zero

    information on migration (from any version) and the last time that we did

    This cost us several months of work to 'fix' 14 + 50 pages +.

    manuals. We'll stay with XP/CS and 'eat' the new W7/CS5 system

    before FM10.

  • Download Photoshop CS5 Extended, corrupted file?

    I have photoshop CS5 extended. I bought a new computer and want to download to my new computer. The file on the download page for Adobe seems to be corrupted. While it downloads, it does not install.

    Hi Hadassah143,

    What is the operating system of your new computer? 10 Windows and OS X 10.11 have been known to cause problems with older software like CS5. OS X 10.11 El Capitan, in particular can encourage error messages misleading because of its default security settings. To work around this, go to the security in the Apple menu, and on the Security tab and general privacy, change the rocker "Anywhere". When you are finished installing Gatekeeper, reset your preferred 'egi' setting.

    If this does not solve your issue, can you give us more details to help us solve the problems? You download from Download Adobe Creative Suite 5 products? If so, you receive a specific error message?

  • Photoshop CS5 UI - minor file Menu calendar Irritation

    Photoshop CS5 on Windows 7:

    I noticed that for a brief period after the start of Photoshop, the main menus become clickable, but most or all of the submenus appear grayed out (disabled).  For example:

    1. start Photoshop.

    2. as soon as you see the user interface, click on file , then try clicking on Open, which is grayed out (disabled).  Nothing happens.

    3. this condition persists until you click on another place and reopen the file menu.  It's slightly frustrating.  We think flow between an interrupted movement until you realize he'll never afford.

    May I suggest him main menu all simply not be made available until the end of any initialization that makes all the submenus are disabled to enabled...  Delay the opening menu until the submenu items are actually useful.

    As a better alternative, activate submenus when the menu is open, if possible.  Then, it will just take a moment to step 2 before you click on a menu freshly activated.

    Thank you.

    When you say "Photoshop already do that", do you mean that we're supposed to to update the menus while they are open?

    I want to say that Photoshop is already all the things you said he should do.

    Try to disable third-party plugins and see if it happens again.

    The fact that it is 32-bit only probably points to plugins.

  • Photoshop CC 2015 - recovered files does not close, PS is not closed and does not close files randomly

    Hope that there is little help for that matter. I have not found similar questions in the search, or I had a bit of luck on other sites:

    MAS OS 10.10 PS CC 2015 running.

    I'm having a problem where random files that have been opened will not close. I am not in a position to leave Photoshop either... only a force quite stop the program however once I raise the PS, the files that would not reappear near, sometimes they are listed as recovered files but not always.

    The files that are listed as being recovered will not close no matter what I do. I tried to locate an Auto valuation folder as some people had suggested to a similar problem with PS CS6, but it does not work for 15 CC.

    A few rare occasions, I was able to catch the recovered files before they open and cancel the process which does not solve the problem, but that only works if the files are large enough so they take more than a few seconds to open. The files of smaller size will open almost instantly and I'm stuck with having up to 8 files to open, that I don't need or want.

    I have tried zapping the P - ram (suggestions from other sites) but no luck and trashing preferences.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

    In file management turn off Auto Save recovery

    Save as files to you office or somewhere that you can find them. Force quit. Run disk utility and set your permissions. Then try to Photoshop.

  • Photoshop CS5: how many files can be opened at the same time?

    I just tried to open around 400 jpg in Photoshop CS5, as I had to crop it to the best report to display it on my iPod Touch, and I got an error message saying: I tried to open too many images at once, and he stopped about 200.

    My system is a Win7 Pro 64 bit, 3.4 GHz i7 machine with 16 GB of RAM, and I thought that actions like this have been driven out by the amount of available system resources, but Photoshop seems to have a built-in time limit, which only are resources.

    Anyone who has met this limit apparent, and is there a way ' round?

    Thank you

    Paul

    200 is the current limit - MacOS and Windows have problems with a large number of Windows Open (and even worse with a large number of OpenGL contexts).  And you are experiencing problems to long until the theoretical resource limits are reached.

  • Re Photoshop CS5 Extended - healing brush works not

    I bought this product a few months ago.  I notice that the "corrector" does not work.  Would it because I do not re-install all my pay previous Photoshop (since version 6) before installing CS5 Extended on my new computer?  Thank you for your help.

    Hello!

    More often than otherwise, solve problems with a single tool, to reset it: right-click on the icon for the tool in the options bar and select "reset tool".

    If this does not work, we have to try to recreate the preference files: close Photoshop.

    Be prepared to re - start, but immediately after clicking on its icon, hold down the keys CTRL + ALT + SHIFT (CMD + OPT + shift on a Mac)

    You should get a prompt asking you if you want to recreate. Click Yes.

    Re-install is the last step, and is less often necessary: generally it is when Photoshop tells you that a part is missing. In addition, reinstall Photoshop does not reset the tools or preferences, and these two are often the fix.

    I hope this helps!

  • Photoshop CS5: TextItem width and height not related export Script not values specific

    Hi all

    I'm writing a script for Photoshop export data on the textItems in a document for use in another tool. What I capture data appear to be accurate for the most part, except for the width and height of the textItems. Here's my document settings (these never change):

    Rule and Type units: pixels

    Resolution document: 300 px/inch

    textItem type = text of paragraph

    When you enter values for height and width, I does no conversion, so the values below are gross exports of ExtendScript. I have included the point of a text data in two separate documents (the text element is not the same in both documents).

    Document 1:

    Photoshop: 125 px ExtendScript height: 22.32 22.32/125 px = 5.6

    Photoshop: 231 px ExtendScript width: 46.39 231/46.39 px = 4.98

    Document 2:

    Photoshop: 123 px ExtendScript height: 30,48 px 123/30.48 = 4.03

    Photoshop: 1407 px ExtendScript width: 370.95 1407/370.95 px = 3.79

    If a conversion must be performed to get the value of ExtendScript to match what shows Photoshop, I understand that. However, there is too much variance in multipliers: the difference in height between the two textItems is only 2 pixels, but the multipliers are 5.6 vs 4.03! I do not understand what might be other factors that affect these values.

    Bug textItem.width ExtendScript, the author has provided what he claimed to be a workaround: multiply the ExtendScript value by the resolution of the document, and then dividing by 72. It close me well the values that I needed, but as evidenced by the variable multipliers, it is not consistent.

    Someone at - it suggestions?

    With the help of the function by Paul Riggott (how read scale boxes paragraph?) and Stefan Beckmann (ExtendScript textItem.width bug), I think I have the solution:

    The value exported in the ExtendScript Toolkit is based on a 72 dpi document, even if it uses a baseValue for a document of 300 dpi. This is the bug that needed to be worked around by using the method of Stefan (value * activeDocument.resolution/72). However, I was always getting incorrect values.

    According the information acquired by reading the wire responded by Paul, I realized that I was working with text boxes transformed. This meant that I had to get the transformation factor, using Paul.

    So, I can get accurate values for any document by using the following:

    var width = activeLayer.textItem.width * getTransformFactor() * activeDocument.resolution/72

    var height = activeLayer.textItem.height * getTransformFactor() * activeDocument.resolution/72

    function getTransformFactor() {}

    Var ref = new ActionReference()

    ref.putEnumerated (charIDToTypeID ("Lyr"), charIDToTypeID ("Ordn"), charIDToTypeID ("Trgt"))

    var / / desc = executeActionGet (ref) .getObjectValue (stringIDToTypeID ('textKey'))

    textSize var = desc.getList (stringIDToTypeID ('textStyleRange')) .getObjectValue (0) .getObjectValue (stringI DToTypeID ('textStyle')) .getDouble (stringIDToTypeID ('size'))

    If (desc.hasKey (stringIDToTypeID ('transform'))) {}

    var mFactor = desc.getObjectValue (stringIDToTypeID ('transform')) .getUnitDoubleValue (stringIDToTypeID ("yy"))

    return mFactor

    }

    Returns 1

    }

    The 7DII won't be supported in CS5.1.

    You will need to upgrade to CC or the DNG Converter allows to convert the files if your copy of Camera RAW can open them. Its a free download from Adobe.

  • Windows 7 photoshop cs5 my finished edge does not add any detail, he subtracted to this

    I have problems with my finished edge.  As I go around the selection it add any detail, he subtracted to this

    Thanks for the screenshots. I think part of the problem is that you are not selected pretty close to the bird's body. Also, try to turn the smart RADIUS. Edge tool refine needs a lot of contrast to work perfectly. I will also suggest to turn the selection into a layer mask before proceeding with refine edge. If all else fails, you can use the brush on the layer mask tool to cut out the bird properly. You can also try the pen tool (you'll probably need Google a tutorial if you don't already know how to use it).

    Come back and let us know... I hope this helps!
