I am running Windows 7, 64 bit, with 6 GB of Ram

Here's the log of events. Can someone help me please.

  • Adobe Photoshop CS5 has stopped working (Windows 7, 64-bit)

I am trying to run Photoshop CS5 in 64-bit Windows 7. Everytime I open the program, I get an error saying "Adobe Photoshop CS5 has stopped working", immediately after the startup screen goes away and the main GUI opens. The only option on the error is "close the program".

I'm on a computer with a processor i7 and 12 GB of memory. I have two Nvidia GTS 250 video cards, four monitors running.

During the last day, I reformatted my computer and reinstalled Windows twice. I reinstalled the CS5 Master Suite several times that I can remember. I also downloaded and installed the latest drivers from Nvidia video card.

I keep having the same problem whenever I try to open all of the programs in the suite CS5.

The only time where as I got near the do function was immediately after installing new Nvidia drivers, before restarting my computer. I could open only once without it breaking, once I restarted my computer, Photoshop kept giving me the same error everytime I try to open it.

I don't have any other software installed on my computer. This is a new installation of Windows 7.

I was on the phone with Adobe technical support for about an hour and a half, and I still have to get one unique suggestion other than to try with my unplugged network cable installation. Other than that, they seem to be fond of the transfer me back and forth between departments (and asking me to repeat all my information every time).

As you can probably, I am very frustrated at this point and would be very happy to suggestions.

    Thank you

    Trevor

    My scenario and history:

Windows Vista Ultimate Edition and now Windows 7 Ultimate

NVidia Quadro Fx 4500 screwing 4 monitors total SLi on or off - makes no difference.  Drivers are irrelevant.

    2 x Xeon 5160 (so total 4 cores)

    24 GB RAM

    PS CS 4 or 5

    4 monitors - Yep it's the thing 4 monitor.

Fails every time that you describe.

Comment - if you remote desktop on the computer - and so, indeed, use a single monitor - PS works fine.

A WORKAROUND solution for 4 or 5 - I don't consider not that difficult because you lose some features, but it gets you 99% it and is the same workaround for CS4 or 5

    Go to: Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS5 (64 bit) \Plug-ins\Extensions\ (or CS4 - according to version)

    Look for the file:

    ScriptingSupport.8li

Disable this extension by renaming the file with a tilde before the name of the file.  So:

    ~ScriptingSupport.8li

Start Photoshop - it works and is essentially functional.

The only real drawback I found is that disable this script extension means that you cannot use some of the scripts integrated under FILE - SCRIPTS - larger PIA for me to be that of the Contact Sheet Builder no longer works.  But as I now use Lightroom to create planks-contacts - this is not a big loss.  Other features script - I'm sure is applied - but not to the point I find PS unusable.

ADOBE - if you read this - it was this extesión now for the last two editions of the PS.

  • Transfer of Photoshop CS5 on a PC Windows 8

Hi guys, hope you can bear with my computer knowledge limited here.

I've had Photoshop CS5 for years now on an old PC sitting in the attic. Thought I would roll back the years and have a round piece with PS, I use to be quite in the graphic design of back in my teens. That PC however is a nightmare to use and is very slow and I was wondering if it would be possible just transfer the files on my current PC to Windows 8? I literally just copied the files on since my current PC's hard drive, but I get a configuration error telling me to uninstall and reinstall the product. Is there something obvious that I'm doing wrong or am I stuck with having to use PS on my old machine? Thanks for the help.

You can not just copy files. You must install and enter a valid serial number.

Download Download Adobe Creative Suite 5 products

You must enter a valid serial number to make it work beyond the 30 day trial period.

If you did not, try to recover through find the serial number of your product Adobe quickly

  • New configuration of PC for Photoshop CS5 and 64-bit Windows 7

    Hello

I just bought a new PC (with the budgetary limits) with the following configuration:

    8 GB of RAM DDR3 (1600 Mhz)

    1 HD 1 TB 7200 RPM (WD)

    Processor 3.00 Ghz i5

    GPU MSI 630GT 1 GB DDR3

After reading many documents on the web, on the use of several physical hard disks for the use of Photoshop CS5 (I work on the lrage, 300-800MB files), I wonder if my current conifguration with only 1 HD (1 to) is "strong" enough for my needs?

How many partitions and size preparing setting up my PC?

If I was able to pull another $ 100 what should I expect? Another HD for Photoshop scratch disk? or maybe an SSD?

Appreciate all the help I can get.

    Shai

SSD is the path to high performance in modern systems, but $100 do not buy a lot of an SSD.  You can save a little while and get a 256 GB of high performance drive (ideally more).  It is quite big you could make your drive system and Photoshop for zero access point home as well and maybe even keep work in progress that you make about it.

View on configuration of the systems (for example, ' the value zero to your system drive"'") does not really apply with SSD storage, because there is no latency with an SSD.

What kind of SATA connections offer your new PC?  Ideally, you have SATAIII (6 gigabit), that would really be able to enjoy a good SSD.

I just loaded CS5 (and 5.5 updates) on my computer of surface pro 3 of microsoft windows 8.

the top and sides are so small that you cannot read.

I mainly use photoshop; but I loaded the fixed whole web of dvd.

is there something I can do?

    Thank you!

Yes. CS5 is released when the laptop screen of 1366 x 768 and below resolutions are more frequent.

Photoshop CC 2014 offers a setting of 200% of your screen high resolution if you want to pay $10 / month for the edition of cloud.

  • Installation of 7 / Photoshop CS5 64-bit of Windows does not

I think I followed all the instructions and I watched a lot of previous posts on the same problem, but I'm having no success.  I tried to run it as administrator on click with the right button on the Program files (x 86) > Adobe > Adobe Extension Manager CS5 > Adobe Extension Manager CS5.exe file both before and after the fixed window appears.  Even before you double-click the mxp file.  When I click OK to close the gap, the installation seems to work, but nothing ever shows up.

Maybe I am doing something stupid, but I can't seem to make it work.

You right-click Extension Manager CS5, select "Run as Administrator" and then open the extension of the Pixel Bender plugin by selecting "Install the Extension" from the file menu of the extensions Manager and navigate to the extension of Pixel Bender plugin?

    Hello!

  • Adobe Photoshop CS5, activations

    Hello world...

I have Adobe Photoshop CS5 installed on the Windows XP computer. If I understand correctly, I'm allowed 2 activations.  If I first disable and uninstall CS5 on my current computer I then answer both of my activations?  I intend to buy a new system (Windows 7) and I would first disable CS5 on the old system (and uninstall fron this system).

I was wondering if the two activations, you are allowed to life or if you cover the activations at the time when CS5 is disabled since within the program?

    Thank you

    Joe

    Hi, Joe,

You are corect!  You get an activation when you disable Photoshop on your Windows XP computer.  You can move Photoshop to your new Windows 7 computer and it turn it on.

As long as disable you the software on a single computer, you can move it to another.
