Photoshop CS5: border mode full screen

When I enter the mode full screen in Photoshop, there is a border around the screen. This does not happen in Photoshop CS4 or even mode full-screen Bridge CS5.

This is a problem. Anyone else having this problem? (Toshiba A205 - S5843/1.73 Ghz dual core, 2 MB of ram, Windows 7 Home Edition.)

Looking at my screen a little more closely, I have the same thing that show you. It is very light and not too pronounced that what you are. I know that it bothers you to see. But do not let other people trying to tell you what is improtant or not important, happen to you. I almost never use full screen in any case this isn't a problem for me.

So for the boundary sum things there just is very low on my system. My laptop has an i720qm, 8 GB of RAM and an ATI 5870vwith driver 10.4 together. I did not load test CS5 on my main bench upstairs so I can't help you on that.

My feeling is that it is a thing of Vista/Windows 7 AERO.

  • No alt key access to menus in the top in mode full screen Ps CS5 Ext?

    I use the trial version of CS5 on a Win7 machine, after using Ps CS3 for a good amount of time.  When you paint in Ps, I almost always mode full screen.  In CS3, you might be full screen mode and press that the alt key and the current letter to a top bar, like F for file or T to filter or W for Window and the menu that appears, and you could hit subsequent letters active to get the associated function.  I used alt + I, then E and H to return the canvas horizontally.  Super fast and awesome!  Now the E was changed to a G, but no matter.  The big problem is in mode full screen, this no longer works!  I just get an error sound when I hit alt and press together. I have to type tab to bring up the menus and palettes until I use the alt + feature letter in the top menu.

    Is this an oversight, or is there functionality to the deactivation of this use of the hotkey mode full screen?

    Any ideas?  If I put this in the forum feature request?

    Thank you!

    Hmmmm...

    NOT in full screen, the people on this forum sometimes complain that the Alt modifier key is activate menus and the following operations for which they use Alt the original (for example, to zoom out) for itchy trigger windows "ding" sound.

    ESPECIALLY full screen that is not the case with CS5 because the Alt key is not simply activate the menus.

    Interesting idea...

    Maybe Adobe does work that way on purpose so that they could say to people complaining about the first question to run Photoshop in mode full-screen.  It's just a guess.

    As a solution to your problem, you could of course expand the Photoshop window to be very close to the size of the screen and just keep running like a window, rather than using the mode full screen at all.  Yes, I know that this is not a solution, but only a possible workaround until such time (if ever) Adobe bypasses to fix the modifier keys to work properly (again).  I chose to use Photoshop it myself and other than wasting a bit of the screen it seems to be a pretty decent workaround for the use of the space F mode.

    Funny, is that it seems that adobe had the modifier keys about works in Photoshop CS4.  I wonder why they changed.

  • Enlarge/Zoom missing in Photoshop elements 8 Organizer mode full screen?

    Am I missing something or the abilty to enlarge a photo has been abandoned since the mode full-screen Organizer in Photoshop Elements 8?

    If so, it is a serious regression. This means that you cannot zoom the image enough to review the quality of several photos of the same subject. The only alternative is to switch mode complete edition which takes a lot of time if you have a large number of photos.

    Someone at - he found a way around this?

    Also, check out this FAQ for another zoom and pan shortcuts mode full-screen:

  • My VM Fusion is stuck in mode full screen

    I have a virtual machine OS X 10.7, who was running in a window of 1024 x 768 on my iMac 27 "retina.  Wanting a larger screen/desktop computer, I first tried simply resize the window of Fusion, but everything that blew a 1024 x 768 screen.  I have also been unable to change the native display size in OS X > System Preferences > monitors.

    Finally, I made the mistake of clicking on the green button zoom on the merge window, waits that will expand the window to the maximum size (with a window border) under the Fusion menu bar.  Instead, I now a window full-screen OS X with no menu bar merge and no ability similar to exit full screen mode.  Since there is no window border, there is no green button to zoom out the window.

    Move the mouse to the top of the screen displays the merged menu bar.  I am able to stop the virtual machine.  But when I restart it, it's back in fashion full screen.

    How can I escape mode full screen?

    -Ward

    Hi Ward,

    To exit full screen, click on the view menu in the toolbar and choose the command window.

    You can also use the following key combination: "control-command + f" (can be used to turn on/off n/b full screen and single window)

    About the resolution of the screen, have you tried to install VMware Tools?

    If not, click on the Virtual Machine > install VMware Tools.

  • Script needed downtown Zoom image to fit the width mode full screen

    So here's the situation: I am full screen/no menus and I would like an image to center the zoom to fit the width of my screen. This would save some time by rubbing the zoom.

    Does anyone know a script out there that would do exactly that? I could assign a keyboard shortcut, and it would be a time saver.

    And when you use the button of the screen fill zoom than nothing is registered by the logger Plugin or scriptlistener Action. When your layout fullscreen it no way to get to the screen from filling key, there is no. If you use the button before switching to fullscreem mode when you enter mode full screen zoom level of the image does not fill the screen.

  • Large gray 'band' along the bottom of the screen mode full screen

    Without a doubt, it's something that is very simple to solve, but...

    For some reason any I have a large gray empty 'band' (i.e. the rectangular band) appear at the bottom of the window of my monitor in ' Mode full screen with menu bar.»

    This has only started happening in the last days and I do not remember that always happens before (any mode of the screen, I was in).

    The only way I could remove temporarily is to replace my Photoshop preference files from a backup.

    Yet once... probably some very simple adjustment... but even in this case... I don't see what I do recently that I didn't thousands of times before that this would lead to.

    The last time it happened that I had simply slipped a layer of a file to another file and BAM... the gray band appeared again when I went full-screen.

    Any suggestions?

    Thank you.

    "What OS are you on?

    Jeffrey,

    I use 10.6.7 (I have a suite of sleep with 10.6.8 like many other problems, so I don't want to 'change-horses-in-the-middle-of-a-race'... in the middle of a big project).

    10.7.2 still has glitches, I won't have to deal with professionally right now (I am an Appleseeder and have tested Lion for a long time).

    In any case...

    "Can you post a screenshot?

    Fortunately, unfortunately I can't since the last time I replaced the files preferably, he should have solved the problem.

    The grey area looked as if it was a setting - since it has been clearly defined and not appeared in mode full screen. It didn't really look like a bug... Apart from the fact that I couldn't find a way to get rid of it (i.e. once it appeared... it might reappear all the files that were opened in mode full screen).

  • New Flash fullscreen msg ' keyboarding is disabled mode full screen?

    I was watching https://www.Photoshop.com/Tools/RIA?WF=organize and go to mode full-screen displays two messages... "Press ESC to exit full screen" and "keyboarding is disabled mode full screen '

    How to do the "keyboarding is disabled mode full screen" appear?

    Thank you

    What is your level of expertise of the AS3? It's a very basic thing. For example:

    var textField:TextField = new TextField();
    textField.multiline = textField.wordWrap = false;
    textField.text = "Keyboard entry is disabled in full screen mode";

    var message:Sprite = new Sprite();
    message.graphics.beginFill(0x000000, 0.2);
    message.graphics.drawRoundRect(0, 0, textField.width + 10, textField.height + 10, 5);

    textField.x = (message.width - textField.width ) * .5;
    textField.y = (message.height - textField.height ) * .5;

    message.addChild(textField);
    addChild(message);

  • Mode full-screen Windows 10

    I installed Firefox on a new computer with Windows 10 and initially failed to enter fullscreen (F11) mode. After some tests, I came up with a procedure that works, but involves starting Firefox twice each time - a minor annoyance.
    I have 1 'Favorites' tab and the other tabs open with a working fullscreen and close Firefox normally (I don't get the warning waited on the closure of several tabs). The following steps find Firefox upward and mode full-screen:

    1. launch Firefox. It gives a blank page expanded with the address bar and the bar tab with a single tab.
    2. press F11. Curiously, square set full-screen mode, it replaces the page 'Restored' size.
    3 maximize. Window extends to its appearance after step 1.
    4. stop Firefox. Window goes away.
    5. start Firefox a 2nd time. This time, it will come with the 'restoration' page Firefox (with address & tab bar) which shows the tabs that were open at the previous close and gives the opportunity to select the tabs you want to come this time.
    At this point F11 will toggle in and out of fashion full screen properly, so steps 6 and 7 can be either order.
    6. press F11. He's going to full screen (i.e. address & tab bars disappear).
    7. click on the button "restore". Earlier closing tabs are restored and F11 is fully functional.
    Issues related to the:
    1. Why don't I get the warning for closing multiple tabs? (It seems more to be an option.)
    2. because (in XP at least) the "Restoration" page should appear only after a forced or abnormal stop, why is she even get involved? (Both the cases referred were normal).
    3. why Firefox doesn't come until normal the first time, with only the tabs that have been pinned and F11 functional?

    Since the first opening of this problem, it seems that the updates have been applied to Firefox, Windows 10 or both, and itself has the problem. So "thank you" to the one who fixed it.

  • Browser is stuck in mode full screen, restart does not help.

    I entered the mode full screen on a website and now cannot get out. Restarting my computer does not help. Problem is that when you are using Firefox, no other browsers. Firefox continues to open full screen mode whenever I open it, and I have to reboot in order to use another browser.

    Try to rename (or delete) the file xulstore.json in the Firefox profile folder.

    You can use this button to go to the Firefox profile folder currently in use:

    The top of my browser shows when I get home mode full screen when watching youtube videos. It wasn't like that yesterday, and I have not changed a thing. I want the old way back if it is true full screen.

    To be honest, I found a "update" of firefox button that has deleted all changes without removing the passwords and others.

    has worked like a charm and fixed it.

  • Mode full screen

    I have installed an extension of full screen on my Asus laptop convertible and he (mode full screen) is now locked without options toolbar, bookmarks or browsing tools.
    I've uninstalled and reinstalled without success.
    Help!

    If I remember this extension has only controls when a Web page is loaded. Click on one of the links on the home page. Once the finished page loading tap and hold on an area which is not a link and that there should be an option of full-screen output. Once out of the mode full screen open the extensions Manager by typing it in the address bar and typing about: addons type the extension and select Remove or uninstall.

    Hi fordbzd,

    This could be a big question for https://www.stackoverflow.com or https://www.mdn.com

    These are third party, but they are nice places to start:

    It depends on the api used as well to track down the call for the notification of full screen or a video player:

  • the desire of firefox kiosk mode when the mode full screen allows a URL one exit (other than ALT + F4) required for the enterprise timesheet entry. No opt. No navigation.

    using win 7 SP1, firefox 18 with kiosk software component snap-in r_kiosk - 0.9.0 - fx.xpi to x 86. Mode full-screen kiosk uses a URL to the entry of company time sheet. Firefox is not company standard and should only be provided for this purpose. We are apt to virtualized delivery via AppV and have a solution, BUT... Really like the absence of toolbars providing no other choice to the user. Do not click no right, no navigation. Perfect except there is no fence or exit option except STROKE keyboard such as ALT + F4. I'm not talented enough to modify the XPI file to provide a booth full screen BUT with an option to close simple enough for 3500 users. Advice appreciated.

    Hello

    You can see the kiosk for Firefox modules. A quick search on addons.mozilla.org gave me this result: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/firefox/addon/r-kiosk/. Have not tested it myself, but I hope that it is close to what you are in demand!

    See you soon,.

    When you try to view full screen videos, I get a message that Adobe broke down. I uninstalled and reinstalled Adobe and using current versions of Firefox. This problem doesn't seem to appear with IE.

    The problem in my case seems self imposed. I had already changed my settings to Visual effects for best performance. After changing the parameters of effects Visual back for 'let Windows choose... ", all my problems with the adobe software crashing mode full screen have been resolved.
