  Hello...

  I took several photos of a vegetable substance under a microscope.  My depth of field is very shallow.  I was told that if I take a series of photos, each with something different in short, I could magically combine the photos into one photo.  A photo will show the entire dept of the field as being in short.  Well, at least, represented by my seven photos.

  I was directed to Lightoom 6 which I just installed yesterday.  I've read about 'stacking' but I could not find a way to "stack" my photos and then turn them into a single image.  I use a modern 10 windows-based PC.

  I couldn't find a PDF of the manual for Lightroom 6.  I found a manual for Lightroom 'CC Help'.  What is the good manual for Lightroom 6?

  I watched the videos on YouTube until late in the evening of yesterday.  I saw how a stack, expand a stack, a stack of the collapse and add and remove photos in a stack.  But nothing on how to combine my seven photos into one photo.

  Have I been misinformed?  Or Lightroom for this?

  Maybe you can point me to a page number and manual?  Or maybe a You Tube video, I missed?

  Stacking in terms of Lightroom is to put similar images with the best image on top, hiding others. It is not the same as Focus Stacking for a depth of field. You need to Photoshop or Helicon Focus for this.

  In the meantime, disabling "Use Graphics Processor" (Preferences > Performance), should help to load the module development.

  The so-called 'dot updates', for example, 5.6 to 5.7 are free. Problems of version or LR5 LR6 when it comes, require a new purchase, but if you have a previous version there is a reduced upgrade price. This has been the policy in the past and Adobe said that right now, there is no intention to change.

  I was able to do this by taking a screenshot of my window of lightroom now alt and drag the slider "masking" where I wanted to, but I would like to be able to reproduce this effect in full resolution of the image and without having to use such inelegant solution. I asked my local photography group and, while a lot of people stressed the fact that it is extremely easy to use "curves" to do this, I spent hours looking for and experimenting with the curves and same dialog box never approached to reproduce the effect.

  Your Standalone with Lightroom version will not be affected if you cancel CC membership in the future.

  Lightroom CC and 6 Lightroom are produced almost similar but different licensing system.

  Just log out of Lightroom CCfrom help > logout

  Then reconnect, it should say your CC membership is expired/Invalid.Follow the instructions mentioned in How to convert a Lightroom CC 6 Lightroom trial to serialize Lightroom 6.

  Lightroom is designed primarily for non-destructive raw files (and other) edition.

  The original files are never changed, and if you need a file changed outside of Lightroom, you must export, which creates a new file with changes applied. In addition, LR will work with one file at a time, it does not use layers, and you cannot paste a picture in another composite brand and similar things.

  The work you want to do imply a destructive change in pixels, you need Photoshop.

  In addition, Photoshop also has the same capabilities of non-destructive editing as Lightroom in Camera Raw plugin. (though Lightroom has an interface much better and is easier to work with)

• All installed apps CC at startup crash: Photoshop, Lightroom... Windows 10

  During the initial installation, only Lightroom CC has been installed. I migrated the catalog from the previous installation of Windows 7 successfully, and Lightroom has worked very well. I haven't used CC for two weeks, and then after an update to Win 10 more install additional CC apps, none of them (Lightroom, Photoshop, Premiere Pro) should start correctly.   I hope there, can someone help me with a Lightroom/Photoshop small but annoying issue.  (I saw a similar post on the subject here, but it was for an earlier version of Photoshop Camera Raw and the answers did not help me).

  Whenever I choose to edit in > Photoshop in Lightroom to edit a file I get the message error "this version of Lightroom may require plug-ins verson Raw Photoshop Camera 9.3 for full compatibility.  Now, I know that I can get Lightroom to make the file or hit continue and that he either will get the job done.  But I want to the difficulty of what is the cause.  I'm on a Mac OSX Yosemite 10.10.5, I have Lightroom 6.3 (known as camera Raw 9.3 in the section about Lightroom) and I use Photoshop CS6 13.0.6 x 64.  I tried to click on help > update in Lightroom and Photoshop, but this has not solved the problem.  I tried following the instructions on the Adobe Web site to manually update the Camera Raw plugin that is supposed to be located at (from memory) (root folder) library > Application Support > Adobe > Plugins, but I don't have a Plugins folder (and yes I'm looking in the library under the root folder (, not under my user name).

  Camera Raw 9.1.1 is the LATEST version which is compatible with Photoshop CS6.  You will not be able to update to 9.3.  In addition, Lightroom now up to version 6.6.  See the note in this article

  The Plan of Photoshop 19.99 includes Lightroom.  I believe the plan of 9.99 has a less busy version of Photoshop functionality or some limitation similar to what get it.

  Sorry, but that kind of image manipulation is not for the purpose of Lightroom and more oriented toward Photoshop and retouching of composition of similar images.

  I get the U44M1I200 error when I try to update CC Photoshop and Lightroom CC on my desktop computer. The update went well on my laptop, which runs the same level of security Norton like this, Norton probably isn't the issue.

  Yes, I see, "similar question already asked", but I have tried the suggestions for this error that I have seen in other threads, and all they have done is screw things even more. Now just being run-error Photoshop with an error ' could not load generator ", too. It's ridiculous!

  I'm not a happy camper, Adobe! I finally decided to try Photoshop after 20 years of use of Corel and the place I had NOTHING with Adobe and Photoshop and CC App Manager software trouble. Adobe sales guy (probably in India or somewhere similar) lied to me when I bought it - says there are no deals available for students, and two weeks later I find that there is something out there for the students. The person (probably also in India or elsewhere) I said on this subject, said that she could not help me. I asked to be put in contact with a supervisor and TWO WEEKS later, I got a canned e-mail, saying that if I wanted the deal to the student, they would 'let me' uninstall what I had bought, then they have to pay back me and then Id have to buy the kit of the student. Was not worth my time to do all this.

  I'm quite impressed with it, either. The brush tools etc and most of the filters in Corel was at least as good, if not better. Adobe Camera Raw Filter is really nice - I like it, but the work stopped when I installed this last updated on my laptop. I don't yet know if it will work on this computer, because the update did not work even.

  And you guys cannot not even came with a toolbar that handles tasks such as open, close, etc. Undo like all other Windows applications? It's completely LAME. He was back to Windows 3.1, or even BACK here? You need to hire some programmers who know how to program a Windows application, Adobe.

  New to the forum so my apologies if this has already been answered - it's the first page that is displayed.

  Im looking to buy a computer to run the CC Lightroom/Photoshop package.  I have a D800 [36MP sensor] and want to process files in format jpeg or RAW, which will be a maximum of 25 MB for jpg files or 75 MB for batch RAW files.  I'm trying to get the right machine spec - this will be a Windows desktop machine, to talk to some that say fast processor [s] some say plenty of RAM and other says everything is in the graphics card. I have a shop proposing to change a 2 CPU [thread 16] former server for me with 16Mb of RAW and a Sandisk SDS graphics card [not sure] a NVIDEA or similar. The guys in the shop seem very authentic but would like once again to make sure I get the right machine spec first before installing the Photo CC package.  It is easy to spec on the machine, but I don't want to spend too much... then people, what should I look for, please?
