  Adobe has provided an answer in another thread on this forum this week that indicated that the problem is with the unavailability of Microsoft APIs necessary, and nothing to do with perceived favouritism Mac vs Windows.

  I recall, resolution independence code also partially exist very long in advance on Mac but was not fully usable for several versions of Mac OS X; apparently the implementation of screens Retina forced Apple to finally finish the job.   There is nothing that talent Adobe cannot fix.  You can solve the problem, if you care about. Obviously, whatever your development systems, you don't live with this problem or you would have solved it.

  I return this laptop Lenovo Yoga Pro 2 about a month and it has Windows 8. I start the laptop and once I enter username and password, I have a black screen with the mouse pointer. Lenovo support has been useless. They asked me to run c:\windows\system\restore\rstrui.exe by using the Task Manager, but I get the file not found. When I go to the command prompt by using the Task Manager and check dir listing in the directory of restoration, it shows empty.

  It seems to me a solution, it worked for me, so hopefully it will work for you as long as you experience the same problem.

  Because you can always go to the sign in screen, do the following:

  Click on the power icon in the lower right to open the menu,

  Hold down the SHIFT key while clicking the button of /restart/ once.

  A screen will appear after a few moments.

  Click and follow the instructions /Refresh/ and let him go during its cycle...

  I just bought a new Yoga 2 Pro with a 13.3 "beautiful QHD display + (3200 x 1800). I've been moving all of my programs over my old computer and when I got to Premiere Elements I got a nasty shock as it does not support the high resolution and is pretty much unusable:

  What you encountered with first 10 items on your Yoga 2 Pro with 3200 x 1800 pixels display should not be a surprise. Nothing new here.  It has a long history which covers several versions including the latest version 12. The following information online is one of the many
