• Active layer in Photoshop - not highlighted

  I work in photoshop every day and I know that if the layer in the layer panel is active, it is selected. For some unknown reason, it is currently not stressing the layer I'm on photoshop. I have tride Googling it and search the guide adobe online. Neither talks about what happens when the active layer to highlight. Does anyone know how to fix? It is a picture of my photoshop not highlighting the layer on which I work attached.

  

  If a problem that just shows up and you have not done anything out of the ordinary with Photoshop or your operating system, I suspect strongly corrupted Photoshop, a common problem preferences file.

  Here's how to reset the:

  Close Photoshop

  Hold cmd-opt-shift and run Photoshop. When the "Delete" dialog box appears, click 'Yes' and let Photoshop do.

  I have 3 HD my Mac OS works on 1 HD and my apps.  I use HD 1 & 2 as peripheral storage for photos and video. I went my disc scratch 2 HD and HD 3 but clicked order 1 HD as a scratch disk in photoshop CS4 extended.  Now I can't open photoshop not even to reset my scratch disks.  It does not open because it is said that he could not initialize photoshop because the disk is not available.  The weird part is that I can't open photoshop in CS3 for the same reason even if I don't touch that.  I uninstalled and reinstalled the drive and time machine, but does not help.  How do I change back to what I had before I got it screwed up.  I can't believe that the program allows himself to be thwarted so easily without any warning.

  Go back in Time Machine to before that you did and restore Photoshop and preferences folders in the folders HD\Library\Preferences, HD\Library\Application Support\Adobe and Home\Library\Preferences.

• InDesign CS6 will not retain any preferences

  One of my users has been recently updated for CS5 Design and Web Premium CS6.  The first problem is that the InDesign program crashes from time to time for no apparent reason.  Second, the InDesign program will not retain the preferences.  If the program crashes and is restarted, the preferences are lost.  In addition, if the program is normally closed and reopened, preferences are lost.  This started happening about a month ago and before that, there is no problem.

  I have searced forums and the internet for a solution and while I could find similar problems with other users, I can not find a solution.  Re-setting the program did not produce a resolution.  If anyone can help with this frustrating problem.

  Lisa, all of the experts from Adobe here are useless. They bombard you with questions, and theories.  I am a computer scientist of operations who was responsible for resolving problems and issues of the software. I have do this usually by the process of elimination.  Most of these people is applications users who call the IT operations people to solve their problems, when this stuff happens.

  Here's what I did to fix the problem.  I saved all the users of windows profile settings to a different folder.  Then I deleted the windows end-user user profile.  He then recorded in the PC and his profile has been recreated.  He was then able to configure its settings in InDesign.  These preferences and settings are now retained when it disconnects, stops, restarts, etc...

  I know this isn't the best solution, but only slightly.  The key is to make sure you have saved/backed up all data users and their user in windows profile settings.

  The synchronization preferences option is no longer available in the last update CC2015.1.2

  and the option "Open Documents as tabs" is under preferences > Workspace.

  Hi, I've had 3 different people to support try and solve this problem, but none has.  For some reason, photoshop has decided to limit the amount of files that I can open it. Sometimes it's just one, sometimes it allows me to open another but especially it happens just with "could not complete your request because of a program error." Anyone else having the same problem? It's really annoying. Support has tried many things including reinstalling the application, change the permissions and deletion of the brushes that I had downloaded.  I use an imac 10.10.2.

• Why don't Photoshop use my Wacom preferences?

  OK, so will be a bit of a back story because I think I know what part of the problem is... I don't know how to fix it.

  I recently downloaded Photoshop CC on my computer.  I already had a copy of PS CS3 there.  When installed, he asked if I wanted to use my settings from that.  Do not see a problem, I said 'yes '.  And things were very good.  But I wanted to change the hotkey on my Cintiq for CC differs from CS3.  When I tried to change them in the system preferences, however, it did not work.  Settings saved, but they have always used the same settings like CS3.  I changed the settings in CS3, and those who came to CC.  So clearly he's referring to CS3 preferably.   Try to use the Wacom preference file utility.  With it, delete your preferences. Start from scratch and put in place for running Photoshop Photoshop preferences.

  I've been using Photoshop since version 5.0

  I've recently updated to CS6 and whenever I try to save a file it records in TIFF format. Even a file with multiple layers. I guess it could be changed in the preferences under edit/preferences/file manipulation, or something else.

  Cannot do. I'm a little annoyed that I change the format in the Save as dialog box whenever I'm working on a new file.

  I just thought of it. It was Lightroom, not PS. Lightroom was created to open as TIFF files.

  When I right-click on an image file in Windows and select "open with...". ", Photoshop CS 5.5 is not listed as an option.  Even when I find a program to open with and select the file "Photoshop.exe" appropriate, it will still not appear in the app menu.  I can't practically JPG in Photoshop without using "file: Open" of Photoshop.

  I used to have Photoshop CS4 installed, so I was wondering if this messed up the installation of 5.5.  I uninstalled Photoshop CS4.  Also uninstalled and reinstalled Photoshop CS5.5 (although I kept my preferences).  No luck.

  Does anyone else have this problem?  Is this related to a problem of Windows registry?

  That's all!  The title of l'HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Applications\Photoshop.exe\shell\, it was 'open\command' on my old version of CS4, while "edit\command" has been set at CS5.1.  So, I changed the 'open' to the same way that 'Edit' value, and it is now appear as an option.

  The latest version of firefox comes itself installed on my PC. The window of 'cookies' no longer works as a stand alone, apparently. I typed "subject: config ' in order to change the 'browser.preferences.incontent' to 'false', but he was already somehow 'false', while playing with it, the string"browser.preferences.incontent"has disappeared entirely.   Hi neonzebra, the browser.preferences.inContent preference was just in place temporarily for a period of transition. now that there are new features and settings, go to preferences and was former windowed interface is more maintained, its users would have missed out on them, so the support fell completely in firefox 42.

  If you still miss the old style - the Restorer Classic theme https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/classicthemerestorer/ addon contains some improvements to make the more familiar the style options...

  Hello people, I had my magic mouse 2 now for about 2 months, but have always failed to scroll right I don't see not all preferences. I only get the option of tracking speed and double-click speed.

  I have the latest version of the software updated on my mac, etc.

  Can you re - check the version number of your OS.   With the magic mouse 2 you must have the El Capitan 10.11.5.   I use this but my magic mouse in system preferences is different, as you can see.
