  My color chart seems to be defaulting to only shades of gray on a gradient layer, and I can just find a way to let him replace the color I chose.  After that I created a new layer of gradient fill, when I have the layer selected in the layer list on the right side of the screen, color samples show ONLY gray.  If I click on the sample, it brings up the color selector, but no matter what color I select, the swatch shows shades of gray.  If I select the background layer, it goes back to show my color.

  OK, it's much more complex.

  For the moment let's ignore touch screens.

  So, basically, you are going to have to display the Bitmap, and then, when the focus is on this bitmap, display a kind of cursor/pointer.  You need to replace the painting and this match draw in front of your Bitmap image.

  This slider will have to meet the navigationMovement.  The user must be able to "click" to select an area, or maybe to do the standard "drag" to select a rectangular area.  Once you have this area (you know where it is because you are viewing the cursor), you use getARGB on the Bitmap image, get rough ints, convert this back to a Bitmap, scaling it.

  Yes it is possible. Double-click the layer, and then select gradient overlay and manually set the gradient whereve you want on the ellipse. Just like that.

  I have an iMac 27 "end 2012, Yosemite, Lightroom 5 and 13 items running. I have Photoshop Elements selected in Lightroom "change in" and in the Lightroom preferences, I have Photoshop selected 13 items.

  When I select a photo in Lightroom to open in Photoshop Elements (i.e. in Lightroom, I chose "Edit in"), PSE 13 OPENS but the photo is never there. I looked and looked in PSE 13 for the photo from Lightroom, and I'm not.

  Oddly, a copy of the photo appears in Lightroom in grid mode. Is driving me crazy! I can drag a photo into the components icon and it will open in the elements, but then I don't know how to get it back in Lightroom with changes unless I have enregistrer to save on my desktop, then drag in the Lightroom icon. I understand that it is supposed to work in a transparent manner if I do something wrong.

  After that I updated Photoshop to the latest version, that it no longer appears in the extensions Manager. After a few Google searches, I discovered that the extensions manager has been abandoned. So I downloaded the extension to the cloud to Adobe.

  From there it wouldn't install at first, but after uninstalling extension manager and uninstall and reinstall Photoshop and a reboot, the plugin appeared.

  You can Ctrl/Cmd + click on the channel of the Bitmap in the Panel layers to perform the initial choices which will choose the white pixels. You can use then select > Inverse and rectangular selection tool to subtract from selection and let selected only the pixels that you want selected.

  I have a lot of files having 4 layers of each, and I want to align these 4 layers by hand. First of all, I need the visible 2 background layers to align and then layers #2 and 3, then layers #3 and 4.

  I have the upper value difference mode, to align the purposes of fusion. So my workflow is as follows:

  (1) align two layers by hand.

  (2) change the blending mode of the top layer to difference to normal

  (3) make visible the next layer above

  (4) select this layer

  (5) repeat

  I know it's not much, but I do this hundreds of times per session. It would be a huge time saver to automate this process.

  I don't know much about scripts, so I'm quite in the dark about how to do this. In the end, would I be able to activate the script with a keyboard shortcut?

  I hope that there is something there to solve this problem. Let's say I have a gradient with 4 separate colors/shades. I would change one of these 4 colors to a specific color that exists in my illustration (but which does not exist in the Swatch Library). While in the degraded window, double click the tag color, bring to the top of the swatch/color palette window. Is it possible to use the pipette to draw a color directly from the illustration instead to replace one of the 4 colors?

  Yes it is.

  Select the object that contains the gradient.

  Open your gradient panel.

  Select the eyedropper (I).

  Click a point of gradient in the gradient colors Panel.

  Hold down the SHIFT key and click a color anywhere in your document.

  The selected gradient should be replaced with the new color.
