Cannot open GMail in Firefox, but can find out - any suggestions?

Laptop HP under XP SP3 with the default browser of FF4.
ZoneAlarm firewall, but the problem persists when it is turned off.
Gmail does not accept my username and/or password in FF, but immediate access when switching to IE8.

Problems connecting to GMail, try

  • Double-click the id of the user, to make it appear the choice, password must then fill in automatically.
  • If no place to fill in password, use the link to tell another user id and try again
  • Try to connect from Google search, if it is successful click on GMail at the top, if the link is not available you probably been in GMail yet with the current profile.
  • Try to connect as long as different user, then check the same user id that you wanted in the first place.

If those who fail, try to delete specific cookies for Google or Google mail

  1. Tools > Options > privacy
  2. Show Cookies
  3. filter on: mail.google
  4. delete individual cookies for gmail, use the arrow down and 'delete '.

If it does not try to delete all cookies from Google

  1. as above, but filter on: google
  2. Use Ctrl + A to select all
  3. review the list, change the selection with the CTRL key, and then use the "Delete" key

I find that I much less difficult to raise to GMail with a keyword shortcut
