Photoshop would not record, then lost the file.

I worked on a picture tonight and constant problems registering. After each recorded three or more, it refuses to save (don't remember the exact message) so I had to "save under" and change the name of the file. This was annoying as hell, but I could not work, how do you sort, so I on board without worrying. However, when I left the file and subsequently tried to reopen it, Photoshop was told he could not open the file, because the file is not found. I looked for the file, and it seems to have disappeared altogether. I had problems previous saving files, but never lost a completely before. I'm using Photoshop CS4, Windows 7. I lost all hope of recovering the file (I trying hard not to cry), but I'd really appreciate advice on what I can do to prevent this breed and to solve the backup problem.

This is not surprising, based on what you described.

None of the errors say anything hardware failure (or controller failure)?

In any case, what you need to do as next steps are simple:

  • Make a full backup system image, if you don't have already done.  It is worth buying a Western Digital external hard drive USB - for example, a MyBook Essential or similar - to be able to do such a backup now and in the future.  Maybe he isn't able to complete successfully with the damaged disc, but well worth try as you can save yourself a lot of trouble later.

  • Click Start, and then click computer.
  • Right click on the drive that has had problems, and then choose Properties.
  • Click on the Tools tab, and then choose [check now].
  • Check all boxes (automatically correct... and Scan for...) then click on the [start] button.
  • He probably will ask you to restart.  This process can take some time.

Personally, I would only repeat the check disk on all players.

Before you do the above, you can read these articles:

My Windows XP pro would not let me change the "Use welcome screen" option under: user accounts/change the way users connect or power off.

So as silly as I can be, I did a search, finds the file RtlGina2.dll in the Windows/System32 folder and cut and paste on my desk. My thought was to isolate this file to see if it will address the problem of not being able to change the option use Windows screen.

Now, I can't run Windows! It gives a message that this file RtlGina2.dll is not found! Specifically, it says, User Interface failure. The UI for logon RtlGina2.dll DLL failed to load. Contact your system administrator to replace the DLL or restore the original dll.

How can I replace the dll if I can't even get started? Help, please! I know just enough to get me in trouble I see.

    WyoPathfinder,
Are you able to boot mode safe mode with command prompt?  If Yes, then you can search for the file "dir /s /a RtlGina2.dll" lists the location where you moved to.  Then you can just copy (path\filename) c:\Windows/System32\(filename)

If you do not work in safe mode, then you can boot from a XP disc and go into the recovery console and do the same thing.

Unless the site you develop is for the Asian market, I don't know why you want to use that particular font. The Basic, standard and digital alphabet punctuation glyphs has sans serif, Roman characters, but the rest is thousands of Kanji characters. While you can use the font .ttf and .otf and web fonts, it would be very unusual to use one so great. Pages should load quickly and 78 MB, with a value of faces to download for those who have connections slow Internet is not fast.

I would take a different font without serifs. There are literally thousands who look identical or virtually identical to Yuanti.

131 free and high quality without font serif to choose here. I'm sure you can find a desired.

In Windows Media Player, my light "Start burn" would not light after dragging the songs on my playlist, he said only "Connect burner and restart". I have already burned a music CD "RW", why he said burner "connect"? The burner is already installed? I tried the "Device Manager" thing wasn't working, thank you for your help. "

    Hello

    1. have you installed any third-party DVD burning software on the computer?
    2. could you give us the exact error message?

    Method 1.
If you have installed a third-party software CD burning remove it and then try to burn the disc and check. Then, work your way through these - don't forget the drive might be bad, could be a coward
cable or slight corrosion on the contacts (usually for a laptop) and other issues.

Your CD or DVD drive is missing or is not recognized by Windows or other programs
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/314060 - a Mr Fixit

    Method 2.
    a. Click Start and type cmd into the search bar and press ENTER.
    b. in the type guest following command press ENTER.
       WMP.dll regsvr32.exe.
    c. close the command prompt and start Windows Media Player and check.

    Method 3.

You can re-create the database of Windows Media Player and see if that fixes the problem.

Stage i: To resolve this problem, delete the Windows Media Player database. To do this, follow these steps:

    a. exit Windows Media Player.
    b. Click Start, type %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\Media Player and then click OK.
    c. Select all files in the folder and then click on Delete on the file menu.
Note: You don't have to remove the folders that are in this folder.
    d. restart Windows Media Player.
Note Windows Media Player automatically rebuilds the database.

Stage II: If this does not resolve the problem, disable the Windows Media Player database cache files. To do this, follow these steps:

    a. exit Windows Media Player.
    b. Click Start, type % LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft and then click OK.
    c. Select the Media Player folder, and then click on Delete on the file menu.
    d. restart Windows Media Player.
Note Windows Media Player automatically rebuilds the database.

    I hope this helps.

How the Virtual Machine has been backed up and restored?  If Time Machine then...

It is a known fact that Time Machine is not 100% reliable backing up/restoring VMS in all circumstances/conditions.  Also back up Virtual Machines via Time Machine of disk/time intensive and wastes a lot of space for something that may be corrupted and worthless time to restore it.  At least I would exclude the Virtual Machines with virtual machines and Time Machine shutdown, not suspended and VMware Fusion closed and then manually copy the VMS to another location, preferably on a different physical hard drive.  So keep the user data stored in the virtual machine saved out of the Virtual Machine on a regular basis in order to always have a backup of the current user data.  If you need to restore a properly saved by VM is not as common at least you will have a virtual working Machine and data user to go forward with when you find out your Time Machine backup of the virtual machine fails.  Also take a look at: best practices for backup of virtual machine (programs and data) in VMware Fusion (1013628)

That said, if you don't have a copy of the file "Windows 7 - f004.vmdk" and then to try to retrieve the data from the user, you can try the following:

Download then unzip it (double-click on) the joint "Windows_7 - f004.vmdk.zip" file that contains the file "Windows 7 - f004.vmdk ' an empty logical binary measure that has been created on the metric of the existing drive and add to the Package of the Virtual Machine.  This should allow the VHD to be considered as a virtual hard drive, assuming that there is no damage to the extent of the binary left headers.  Take a look on: work with Virtual Machine packages

At this point, that the VHD has the scope necessary to show as a full disk, assuming that it is not corrupt the header in other binary extensions and can now attempt to access for the recovery of user data.

There are several ways to try to retrieve user data.  The easy, although not necessarily work properly according to what now lack us due to replace the missing binary extensions with a logical empty measure, is trying to start the VM normally.  If the virtual machine starts up on the desk and VMware Tools load properly you should be able to copy your data to user off on a USB or slip and fall on the side of Mac or if you have a configured VMware folder then copy the files through it.

Other methods involve starting the Virtual Machine with a Live OS ISO Image and copy files from a USB key or temporarily assemble the VHD to another Virtual Machine work.

With the right tools installed the virtual hard disk could also be mounted as another accessible Volume through Finder.
