Believe it or not, I always use a range of photosmart printers HP 1315. Or I was until I bought a computer with Win 8.1, y at - it an update driver for the 1315.

Unfortunately, the support ended with XP.  Sorry but there is not even a pilot-OS

  • Don't see the tab for the ink level estimated for Photosmart 1315 after reinstall.

    Of my Photosmart 1315 resinstall.  After graduating with a caveat that my ink level is low - I opened to the Toolbox to see ink estimated level to see if it was the color cartridge or the black print cartridge and the tab did not exist.  I have seen before.  The only tab I see now is peripheral Services.  Don't know what happened.  How do you get the back estimated ink level tab?

    Operating system is Windows XP.  I just found out what the problem is.  My computer has recently been setup so that there are 2 types of users - administrator and limited user.  I do all my work as a limited user and why am not able to see the tabs other than the Services of the unit, when I opened the box tool.  When I log in as an administrator, I am able to see all the other tabs.

    Thanks for getting back to me on this subject.

    Because the Deskjet 990c printer is not available on Windows 8, Windows 8.1 and Windows 10 the other driver being used is the Deskjet 9800 driver I have provided. Because this driver does not work, the other option would be to update this old Photosmart to a newer model which would be better suited for the latest operating systems. Due to the age of your current printer, your product may qualify for an upgrade to a new product model at a reduced price.

    I am a new owner of a HP Photosmart C5580 all-in-One Printer-Scanner-Copier and a smiling too I might add.

    Previously, I had a HP Photosmart 1315 printer who served me well until I decided that I would also a scanner and a copier.

    However, I always try to find out if there is a way I can access this new Photosmart C5580 manually just at the moment where I want to use it without having to have put it at Windows startup?

    My big problem is when I try to scan something and save it to the computer.  I can't do it right now unless I greeted the HP Digital Imaging Monitor start automatically at Windows startup.  Is there a way to get around this?

    I'm running Windows XP, SP3, completely up to date with IE7 completely up to date too.

    Yes. I recommend you do as it CAN lead to complications with the connection to the printer if you try to play with it. You can turn on the printer itself AFTER the startup of your PC, but don't mess with the software or the SUN.

    You may, however, experience from the DIM manually after starting the PC, or let it start automatically and choose how you want to use it according to the results and behavior. You can always get back to us here for ANY other help.

  • Set up the LaserJet P1006 on print server

    I'm trying to set up a HP LaserJet P1006 on a D-Link DP-300U print server.  I currently have a HP Photosmart 1315 on the same print server.  Implemented for the Photosmart was very easy (Setup program on the USB Port or parallel).  Now, I want to add the P1006.  When I try to install via system preferences, I am able to detect the print server and available USB port.  However, there is no driver listed P1006.  I tried to use the downloaded driver, but it does not work.  The installation program does not 'sees' the driver on the file.  If I connect the P1006 directly to my iMac, Setup goes very smoothy.  I prefer to use the printer on my home network.  (I need two printers on the network).

    Seems that the installation of the software is corrupted somehow. I recommend "rubbing" the software current and 'nine '; To do this, follow the instructions below:

    1. click the Start button and type %temp% enforcement

    2. Locate and open the folder starting with 7z (example: 7zS2356)

    3 open the Util folder

    4 open the CCC folder

    5. run the L4uninstall.bat

    6. once the uninstall is complete, restart the computer

    7 run the Accessories\ System Tools Disk Cleanup

    8. download and install the latest version of Adobe flash player

    Photosmart 6510, SN [edited by Moderator], Firmware Version ESP1CN1244AR, 22093 ID Service, IK number 964, Version of the 028.000.1315 software. 000, Printer Driver Version 09.84.00.1173, Windows 7 X 64 operating system on 2 computers, Windows 8 X 64 on the third computer.

    OK, now for the problem. I tried to print a PDF doc. The graph at the top of the doc printed on the light side, but the text does not print at all. I noticed that the ink levels were low, then bought new carts. Installed the carts, run printhead cleaner, good result mine. tried to print same doc, with the same results. A run the print head alignment. Alone cyan print and error appeared on the printer "failure of the alignment, you can continue, but cartridges are not calibrated for optimal print quality. Press OK to continue', then I tried scanning and printing a photo. the reproduction was excellent, crisp with no descernible color change.

    From what you described, it seems to me that the black ink is not working. All black, you can see on pages that are feeling is probably a composite black made up of 3 colors. I can help you with this.

    Please use the solutions proposed in the following document; Printer cannot print black ink or color ink, or prints blank Pages.

  • Photosmart 7525 HPNetwork Communicator crashes

    This problem exhibits itself as not allowing is not for me to do something with the scan of the computer or fax.  Constantly says "Unable to connect to the printer" which is false since I can print correctly.  On the survey, a program called "HPNetwork Communicator" crashes whenever I try these things.  This is reflected in the log as event ID 100 Windows applications as shown here:

    Basically this allows a nuisance scanning and fax No.  It's a little discouraging that this problem has been reported anywhere in the forums at least 18 months, but HP has apparently not fixed it.  I tried all the usual re - installs, etc, nothing works.

    If someone has better figure out how to correct this AND maintain the complete robot of printers, it would be appreciated.

    After some painful debugging with MSCONFIG, I was able to isolate this prolem with a service called "Process Monitor" of Logitech (LVPrcSrv.exe).  No idea where the conflict is, but with this service disabled, the HPNetworkCommunicator stops crashing, and now I can actually use the 'manage the Scan to Computer' and the 'Fax installation wizard"from my computer.

    After that, I'm going to macOS Sierra my HP Photosmart C8100 Scanner no longer works.

    I had try HP they don't site any upgrade in the Sierra. I get my scanner to work.

    I do not have this as a new printer/scanner each time new software upgrade of the Mac computer.

    Have you tried to install the HP drivers, reboot, then delete and add the printer again?

    Can you explain if this happens with all pages or only PDF files open with Firefox 29,0? If it's from PDF files, I have been informed that this a bug that will be fixed by an update published Friday morning time Pacific.

    A new firmware to restore the ePrint feature are available on hp.com, however it is currently available for MS Windows :

    I don't know if / when it wil become available for Mac OS, that's why I suggest you get a Windows PC and update of the printer, if you can have such an or can borrow a laptop to a member, family, etc.

    I have a photosmart 5510 which do not print black. All other colors are OK. Have changed cartridge and went through all the steps on the site of diagnosis without success.
