  I'm having the same problem. Can connect to print, but does not scan using Windows 7 and HP Photosmart 2710.

  HP's web site says that they do not have a Windows 7 driver that works for all. You will need to connect your computer to the device via USB to use the scan function.

  If all goes well, HP will find a way to generate a driver that allows all features of their unit to operate wireless with Windows 7. I can do both print and scan using my other Windows XP laptop and desktop using wireless driver HP Windows XP.

  If you have configured your wireless printer. Note the printer ip address and enter in the browser where you will have an option of detection.

  I can help you to scan to your Mac running 10.9.3.

  There is no full feature software and driver of HP, but the pilot of Mavericks v10.9 OS X for your printer is available through Apple Software Update (ASU).

  With this driver, you can still print and scan, you'll just have to scan from HP software. Scan to the computer from the printer control panel is available only when you use the HP scanning software, so it won't work because there is no scanning software HP as part of the Apple Software Update driver.

  I have a HP Photosmart C7280 printer/scanner. I have recently installed Windows 8 Preview Release and discovered that the software I have installed Windows 7 doesn't seem to work as well. On the Setup, the only butotn displayed is "Exit" - that's why I can not install the software and drivers.

  Are there solutions available for Windows 8 again (even if its only beta software - I'm happy to give it a go)?

  What happens to me with respect to scan using Windows' built in the analysis Assistant which is OK but that only gives me the option to save as a bitmap, .jpeg, .gif, .png or .tiff.

  Software of HP that I used in Windows 7 accepted save me the scanning to PDF which is what I want in this case. Is it possible to get this software to run in Windows 8? In addition, will you be brining a version of Windows 8 of this software?

  Just installed Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit.  I downloaded the software package for the Photosmart 2710 for 64-bit Vista and am trying to install.

  I just got to a screen that tries to find the 2710 thanks to my network, but it is unable to 'see', it seems.

  Setup request "choose how will connect your device...". "and I can choose"directly via USB' or 'my network '.  When I select 'my network', the screen disappears for about 1 second then comes back asking me to choose how I'm conneting the printer.

  The printer is connected and work through the network with my Windows XP and Vista installs so I don't know that it's a thing to detection of Win7.  I have disabled the firewall Windows, but that did not help.

  As I am new to Win7, I am not versed on all the network stuff again... any ideas on how to get Win7 to see my 2710 across my network?
