Photosmart 7520 missing apps

I have a HP Photosmart 7520 working fine until today.   Paper and applications has disappeared from the top of my screen, I added.  Yes, I could have accidentally pushed something.  How to make a comeback?  I had customized applications when I arrived at the printer, and I would not start from scratch.  Thank you!

Hi, I know this may seem very basic, but you are sure that the printer display shows the home screen? Deletion or addition of printing apps for the 7520 is done through your connected account ePrintCenter/HP. Sign in to your account and click on the tab printer or devices depending on whether yours is an ePrintCenter or connected HP (the connected HP website is the successor to the ePrintCenter website). From there you can see what applications are installed on your printer, and add all the apps that were once installed.

Post back if you have problems.

Best.

If I scan a full page A4 since two or three lines of print are missing. All other data OK it apperas that analysis stops approximately 0,2 in. before bottome of page

Welcome to the HP community @mike_gill,

I understand that your scanned documents are cut off when using A4 format. Try to scan from the ADF and also the scanner glass to see if you see the same results. Let me know what happens!

If you want to scan from the scanner glass, make sure that the document is well positioned on the glass to make sure that it scans the entire surface. Also check the printer to your computer software to ensure selected A4 format before scanning in the software. The scanning parameters may have selected 'letter' format, which will cause the scans to be cut.

    Good luck!

  • HP Photosmart 7520 "Get More" icon for apps

Old printer for only a few days.  The "Get More" icon on the online app on the home page the first day, but after the second day, he has disappeared from the App bar.  Any suggestions on how to recover the "Get More" (icon) app?  I use the printer wirelessly with an iMac OS X Lion 10.7.5.  Checked the HP connected in Apps for my printer, but it's not a way to reinstall the application "Get More"; It is not listed in the App section.  Thank you!

Yes AnnaMarie57, to add applications to the Photosmart 7520 you should not use the website hpconnected.com. It really makes it easier (though a little less convenient), with a full text search to find and add apps on your printer. Have you ever subscribed to hpconnected.com and added to your printer?

  • ePrinting of Android to PhotoSmart 7520 mode landscape?

Hello... I recently bought the PhotoSmart 7520 and have everything set up.  I have a Samsung S4 phone and a Tablet from Samsung 10.1.  I downloaded from the Google store to play on two of them - HP ePrint and All-in-One-remote control

I tried both of these apps to print on the printer.  They both work, but I can not on any of the applications or ffrom either device figure out how to change it to print the image in a profile of landscape.  It will print on paper 4 x 6 "but NOT landscape profile (hopefully, you know what I mean)... There is a white bar at the top and bottom of the image.

Or, once there, I had to print on the whole sheet of 4 x 6 but rather as a * landscape * style of shooting was like a * portrait * image type.  When you want the other way, he eventually cut the picture and giving you a skinny view.  Is there a way for the application to change the landscape that I have not found?

It seems so weird that a photo printer would be missing this option.

    Thanks for any info

For now, there is no option to choose landscape or portrait settings.

  • Photosmart 7520 printer Assistant shortfall 8.1

I use the Photosmart 7520 and it really miss me the companion printer that I found very useful, but now does not work or I'm not. I had recently installed Win 8.1 and to my great regret, this beautiful dashboard is unavailable. If anyone can help?

Well, this proved to be a morning adventure, for the most part not related to HP software.

I completely sanitized HP apps on my computer by using RevoPro.  Then, I ran a SFC.exe and found a corrupted file (AMD64\CNBJ2530.dpb).  What I've learned has been a problem in the HP community and others. I fixed that with repair DISM tool found on the forum of users of Microsoft.

I restarted after the patch, then reinstalled the big package of drivers for the Photosmart 7520. Everything works fine now, including obtaining the Printer Wizard.  I seem to remember, but it is a feature that allows you to customize this app to display the availability of the network, status and the printer ink levels in a dashboard.  I'll track down later.

Thank you for your support of Dragon-fur!

  • Specifically HP Photosmart 7520 running Mac Mavericks 10.9.2 analyse any :(

There seems to be many discussions on this topic, but I want to specifically ask a MAC Mavericks 10.9.2 tyring scan a Photosmart 7520 wireless...  I called tech support and they said there is a work around, but they will have to pay to tell me what it is... not.

Please help me learn this work around?

I tried scanning from the printer/scanner in Mac settings as well as the options of analysis online and none of them work.

    Thank you

Try scanning from your Mac. Use Image Capture app in your Applications folder.

Click once on the scanner on the left side, and then click Show details on the background. Along the right side you will see MANY options for scanning and recording.

  • Why can't print photos from my iPhone 4 to my Photosmart 7520?

I can print web pages and other documents wireless from my iPhone 4 for my Photosmart 7520 new, but when I try to print photos from my phone, blank photo paper out of the printer with an error message.  Also, when I try to print through my camera memory card, I'm not able to select a paper size correctly.  If I choose 5 x 7 with this photo paper in the tray photo, print photos 5 x 7, but on paper 8.5 x 11 from the lower drawer.  Is that what I'm missing somewhere along the line of the measures on these two problems?  I look forward to your response.  Thank you for your time!

Thank you for your quick response and for sending a very useful article. I was surprised to read that, although the photo tray can handle 4 x 6 and x 7, e-printing 5 photo paper is taken in charge only the 4 x 6. It's no wonder that came out white 5 x 7 with an error message. I missed this piece of info to set up Air Print, or it was not mentioned in the specifications. Thank you for your help - I am now able to print photos, although confused and disappointed by the inability to print 5 x 7 of my phone.

  • PhotoSmart 7520 does not connect to "Web Services"

My new PhotoSmart 7520 eAll-in-one printer will not connect to the "web services" today. Yesterday all top and work without any problem. Any app I try, it gives me the same error message.

I run Win XP, the computer is connected to a wireless router with LAN feature. My printer is connected through the LAN. It was working fine yesterday. I did no changes since last night my computer system.

I'm and turned on the printer and went to print simple Crusaders and received the message that it cannot connect to the 'Web Services '. Sever after tests, I check wireless settings and it shows that it works with an excellent signal strength. The Mac address shows as does the correct IP address for the printer.

I checked my router to see if she was talking to the printer and everything was correct and functional. He showed increased activity with the printer wireless and work, the IP and Mac addresses were both correct.

I followed several statements of SUPPORT from HP on the withdrawal and the reactivation of the Web abuse and got a print both times I tried it.

Just before I downloaded HP Print and Scan, a small icon doctor appeared in the system tray in the lower right by saying that the computer analysis was not available. I ran the program doctor and ran the fixes to scan and print. The small icon disappeared, but I don't know what has been corrected.

I turned the printer and on again at least twice. And I ran twice wireless configuration software.

I can always connect to web services. I didn't have this problem when I set up the new printer Saturday. It worked fine until this morning.

I'm not having any problem connecting to Internet with other software.

We will define a static IP address and (most importanly) an external DNS for the printer:

-Print a the front of the printer Network Setup Page. Note the IP address of the printer.
-Enter the IP address in a browser to reveal the internal settings of the printer.
-Choose the network tab, then wireless along the left side, then on the IPv4 tab.
-On this screen, you want to set a manual IP address. You must assign an IP address outside the range that the router sets automatically (called the DHCP range). If you do not know the range, change the last set of numbers (those after the last '.') 250
-Apply the subnet 255.255.255.0 (unless you know it's different, if so, use it)
-Enter the IP of your router (on the Page of the Network Config) for the gateway.
-Enter for the first DNS 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 for second DNS. It's Google DNS. You can choose a different external DNS if you wish.
    -Click 'apply '.

Now, stop the router and printer, start the router, wait, and then start printing.

After that, you will have to redo 'Add printer' using the new IP address.

  • Photosmart 7520: 7520 cartridge HP error

I was gifted a HP Photosmart 7520. It doesn't have a black photo cartridge. I get an error message that said, "one or more of your cartridges appear to be missing or defective" my question is, should I black photo cartridge so the printer at work?

    Hi @Jackpine2,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support! I see your HP Photosmart 7520 gives you a cartridge error "one or more of your cartridges appear to be missing or damaged." You have no Photo black cartridge inserted.

The answer to your question is Yes, should not have all of the cartridges installed in order to continue printing. The reason is that ink system draws from all cartridges, for the maintenance of the tasks etc.. To get a better understand click on the link below:

    Using ink in inkjet printers.

Please go ahead and start troubleshooting here: ink cartridge problem: a "ink cartridge problem,'"Not compatible ink cartridge"or"Ink cartridge failed"Message appears on the printer control panel "

  • Cannot scan multiple pages in the scanner using HP Photosmart 7520 glass

    I recently bought a HP Photosmart 7520.

I'm pretty happy with it, but my wife has a problem with it that I wasn't able to solve even looking in the HP support sites.

When scanning using the glass of the scanner in a pdf document, it has no option to add another page. According to the documentation, there should be a + button, but it is not found. There is an option somewhere that I'm missing? Here is a screenshot of preview (in french, sorry):

    Hello

In the HP Scan dialog box, reduce the scanning in 300 DPI resolution or lower, then you should see the button "+" to add additional pages.

  • HP Photosmart 7520:7520

Replaced my black ink text and got a message error "is missing or defective print head. The print head seems to be missing, not detected, or incorrectly installed. "She will not have the menu on the printer, to come. I took the cartridge and reinserted them but no love, error message keeps showing up without allowing me to access the printer menu. I have unplugged the printer from the power outlet and reconnected but again not of love. I hooked up the printer with a cable of the USP, but always the same without the menu on the printer error message appears.

When I run the box software tools HP from my laptop, it is impossible to connect to the printer, the without wire became turned off, I have always printed on my laptop using the wireless but now it will turn is no longer or it will connect.

Using the USP, it can read the estimated ink levels, which do appear correctly, the new black cartridge as full level, the news of "Health" of the print head are missing, when you check the peripheral Services receive ' Mission of printhead failure.

What can I do? I have had this printer for a year with no problems until now. I am also unable to locate an HP service provider in my area - Chula Vista, Ca 91911

  • Photosmart 7520: Must the Photosmart HP 7520 TWO black ink cartridges (complete and installed) to work?

    Hello

I read a few threads where people are struggling with the question of black ink with this printer. These threads, it seems clear that HP didn't design this system very well, and I would tend to agree. Even if someone said I could find the cartridge (bowtie) smaller at Staples, I can't find it. Even if I could find it, I don't want to have 2 kinds of ink black to store all the time. And my printer does not print black with only a new XL Black 564 installed. Is there a setting I'm missing in the menu where I can choose the XL cartridge only? The manual is not clear on this, and I think it's something that should be clearly explained.

My question is simple, and please, one who answers, read my questions and do not provide a generic incomplete response and then put a little check mark 'Resolved' next to this problem. With 3 wires, that I read on this subject, the question NOT yet resolved or fully explained.

The printer may be used and black printing using only the right XL cartridge or do I need to have both complete and installed black cartridges to work? And a follow-up, the left cartridge (bowtie) should stay there so he works or can I remove it and keep filling the cartridge XL to go forward with the empty to the left slot. If you work for HP and you are reading this and 100% do not know the answer... call someone at HP who has designed this printer and know please let me know.

    Thank you!

The printer requires all cartridges having ink - they don't need to be full, but they all need to be installed and have adequate ink.  The thick black cartridge is pigmented black, mainly used for text and graphics on paper.  Thinner bowtie is the photo cartridge.  It contains dye black ink based and is designed for printing on photo paper.  Black pigmented ink is not compatible with the glossy photo media, black of the photo will be used in cases where the photo paper is selected in the driver or detected automatically.

The Photosmart 7520 has separated from the inks and printheads, with plumbing to connect.  All inks must be present to prevent air intake in the plumbing or the print heads and keep the printheads from clogging.  See here for more information on using ink.
