PhotoSmart C3180: Warning incorrect PhotoSmart C3180 disconnected

I had to reinstall the printer software and updates.

The printer works now much time printing and scanning, yet when I call the HP Solution Center

a warning that the unit is unplugged.

Troubleshooting routines do not indicate any problem.

How can I rturn warning off?

Hi @Clawinus,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support! I see that you are able to print and scan using your HP Photosmart C3180 with computer running Windows 8.1 operating system. However, shows the status of the printer in the solution center as disconnected.

I would like you to go ahead and start printing HP and doctor Scan > www.hp.com/go/tools

-It has been designed by HP users troubleshooting and problems characteristic needed to solve many common problems encountered with HP print and scan products related to Windows computers.

What is the PSDR? Do you still see the error message?

When you upgraded to 8.1 Windows operating system you also update the software and drivers for the C3180 PS?

Are there Windows updates that must be installed?

Please get back to me with the information requested.

I recently bought a 7520 Photosmart all-in-one which is connected to my home wireless.  It works great except for one very annoying thing.  If I print something, leave the printer on and walk, when I come back a moment later my Mac has disconnected from the Internet.  So, I have to restart my Mac in order to regain access.  I can work around this problem by turning off the printer when I am printing but this means I put on whenever I want to print something - and then it goes through its start procedure which, I think, is not good for the camera.  As the printer is located next to my Mac, I would be very happy to simply connect via a USB port, but I was not able to understand how he transition out of my wifi to an old fashioned wire connections.  Otherwise, I'm also happy to use the Wi - Fi connection, if I can leave the printer on without disturbing my global system.

  • This issue is still pending. My PhotoSmart 5510 continues to go offline during the generation of printed documents.

    I have a PhotoSmart 5510 and a Toshiba i7 Quad 4 laptop running Windows7 with a Trendnet Wireless router.

My PhotoSmart 5510 disconnects when printing is generated.    All systems are go: online wirelessly connected wireless, does not not offline, set as the default printer, checkmark, etc..  Sometimes it will make an impression and disconnect and sometimes it will disconnect the first time and will not be printed.

If I run the diagnostic utility I can usually get it online.  But the said diagnostic utility it is disconnected and the problem is not "resolved".

It also has a problem with the USB.  If I've set up as a USB printer will crash the entire operating system and laptop computer will not restart unless the USB is disconnected or if the printer is turned off.  This does not happen with my laptop computer on the same Lexmark printer.

A problem occurs when I try "Scan a picture" or "Scan a Document" from the HP Solution Center. The following error message is displayed.

An unexpected internal error has occurred. Click OK to close the program, and then try the following:
    -Restart the program.
-Restart the PC and then try again.
-Reinstall the software photos & images and try again.

Restart the program leads to the same error. Restart the PC does not help.

Finally got the HP Photosmart C6150 (C6100 series) to scan with the HP Solution Center!

The thing that is a released hotfix must apply despite the fact that the drivers I used were posted at a later date, 2009 07 / 04/2009.

The patch is under a link marked "Critical update to enhance reliability of network and USB connectivity and improve system responsiveness while printing" [2.0 - 25.29 M / 04/2009].

I applied the patch after installing 'HP Photosmart full feature software and drivers' [07-2009 080.001.225.001 - 159.25 M].

    Both are available here:
    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareList?OS=2093&LC=en&DLC=en&cc=us&product=1153491&lang=en

While the works of scan (and again, it prints), I still have a slight problem with the function of the status of the HP Solution Center. I right click the icon HP Digital Imagaing monitor on the bottom right toolbar (need of the time display, cannot think that the toolbar is called), then select "HP Photosmart C6100 series-online status display. Which evokes the "HP Photosmart C6100 - status ' window, which indicates,"Series of HP Photosmart C6100 disconnected!". However, since this window, I click on "View ink levels" and get the information expected.

Interesting to note that from this response, there was 1 243 views of this thread, and all messages before 9 were by me. So I can talk to myself, but obviously many people are listening.

Try to reset the compact County in the registry:

    1. Start the registry editor.

  • IMAP in Outlook Express - using subfolders in the form of special folders

Servers such as Gmail require you to use a backslash ("\") in the path of special folders.

Unfortunately, OE not ACCEP slashes in the special folders. A few articles about the State of Windows Live using the ' # ' instead (for example ' [Gmail] #Drafts "), but (at least in OE) it creates just a real folder called by this name.

A work but VERY bad solution is fixing the symptom. In other words, define "[Gmail]" as root folder. This avoids the symptom by transforming the sub files in standard folders. It's bad, not only because it bypasses the actual problem, but because it means losing access to each custom folder of Gmail! It is best to disable the special folders that agreeing to this.

So, how can you deal with the real issue and simply use subfolders?

    Thank you!

WARNING: Incorrectly editing the registry can cause your system unstable or crash completely.

In case anyone (like me) stumbled across this old thread:

To use IMAP of Gmail's special folders in OE (Outlook Express):

    Step 1:
Go to the IMAP tab in your account properties in OE:

    Date of arrival:
[x] store special folders on IMAP server

Sent the point path: [Gmail] #Sent Mail

    Drafts path: [Gmail] #Drafts

(You use temporarily # because the / is not allowed by OE)

    Step 2:
Close OE. And open the registry (regedit) editor.
    Search the registry for [Gmail]

If all goes well, you will find the IMAP configuration for this account in a subkey of something like this:
    HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21-xxxxxxxx-XXXXXXXXXX-xxxxxxxxx-xxxx\Software\Microsoft\Internet account Manager\Accounts\0000000x

This site contains 2 keys type REG_SZ:
    Sent items IMAP folder
    IMAP drafts folder

Change these keys and turn the # /. It should look like this:
IMAP sent folder REG_SZ [Gmail] Articles / sending Mail
IMAP drafts folder REG_SZ [Gmail] /Brouillons.

    Close the registry

    Step 3:

Open OE. Go to tools > Options > tab send.
    Uncheck the box:
[] Save copy of messages in the 'Sent items' folder

Why? Because Gmail already saves a copy in your items for you. So why even bother to set it as your special sent itemsfolder? Because the column is sorted different on this' special' and in this way, you will see the column at as the first column in this issue.

The problem with this workaround is that whenever your settings need to be changed, you must reapply this thing for OE will not allow not these settings be saved for in OE.

    Good luck!

  • Login - continuous scrolling - Windows, even in safe mode screen

I have a Sony Vaio with Win XP SP2 laptop. There was a virus attack, the virus simply scroll whole screen you, as if you press the arrow key down. I stop, then open a session in safe mode, ran Malwarebytes, found and removed 2 utilities passwordStealer and KeyLogger. The problem seemed to have disappeared. But now he is back on the screen Windows safemode login options. I can't select SafeMode / SafeMode with network / anything since the virus is the key of Basel permanently.

    Help, please!

I tried to boot with the rescue AVG disk / UBUNTU as well, but to no avail. The problem is, once AVG CD load and asks me to choose 1 of 7 options, when I try to press the arrow up / down to go to the option 'Scan', the virus is using the arrow key down.

Are you sure? Viruses are rare under Linux... It is even more unlikely that the same virus that has been written for Win XP to run in a Linux environment. I'm starting to think that you have some sort of hardware problem.

    !!! WARNING! Be careful here!
Have you tried to Disconnect completely all your hard disks via anti-static bracelet and boot from your CD Win XP Pro (do not REFORMAT). I think that you should be able to boot from your CD of Win XP to the point just before you have to select the media target. If booting from your CD of Win XP still causes your screen cursor keys act weird, you probably have a hardware problem.

    !!! WARNING!
When you disconnect a hard drive with an anti static band, you have TO put it and antistatic location on an antistatic surface.

I think the only option is to go to a technician to remove the HARD drive and sorting. Coz' with this kind of problem, I can not select anything on the screen.

Remove the hard drive and scanning with another computer are the best way to kill the virus, but you will need to get a proper equipment (band of anitstatic and bags) and find a friend or technician who is willing to risk infection.

  • Change the product key

    Hello
The situation is like this: I have 10 Acer laptops with linux installed on them and 10 Windows XP home sp3.
I have instaled on laptop and after that I created an image of the hard drive and installed on a computer to second and third.
The problem is that all 3 computers have the same product keys. I want to change the product key.
Before I created the image I activated the license and I tried to change, with a few small programs, the product, but keys with no luck. Is there a way to do this without having to reinstall the operating system?
    Thanks in advance.

Given that you have a valid Windows XP key license and product for each computer, try this:

    1. run the registry editor and change at least one digit of the value of this key:

    HLM/Software/Microsoft/Windows NT / CurrentVersion / WPAEvents / OOBETimer

    2. click on start > run and enter this command:

    %systemroot%\System32\oobe\msoobe.exe /a

    3. Select Yes, I want a phone rep > next > change product key.

4 type the new product key, and then click Update.

    5. turn on.

  • My CD/DVD drive will not appear in the Device Manager, but present in the BIOS.

DevCon didn't find it. It will not open even if I don't get to Device Manager and check for changes to the system. I deleted the registry entries upper and lower limit. Any other suggestions? For additional emphasis, he does not show even in the Manager of devices so I cannot restore or reinstall the drivers from there. It might also help that I use Vista Home Premium on a Compaq Presario F755us.

    Hello

    (1) does the BIOS see the main hard disk drive or a secondary hard drive?

    (2) remember to make changes to the computer before the show?

You know may not be not that most systems are set to show only the splash screen. If you go into the BIOS Setup, it should show the disks that have been detected on two primary and secondary IDE channels.

Note: the basic procedure to change the setting of the disk controller is to restart your computer and enter the system BIOS. The most common method is to press F2 to enter Setup, (another PC may use a different key). On the BIOS screen, find the setting that offers the AHCI, ATA or IDE and RAID. If the parameter is set to AHCI, change the setting to ATA. Restart the PC on the Windows installation disc

Warning: Incorrect settings in the system BIOS can cause your PC function incorrectly. If you are not familiar with the configuration of the BIOS of the system, you must contact the PC manufacturer for assistance.
