Picaview alternative? (do right click look a photo)

I am using Picaview for several years and really make as we look at a picture of right-clicking function... a tile only appears in the window made fast... right click and then if you click on the thumbnail it opens very fast without cooking a new full-size program. And he is now 7 gets sunk errors... I tried to remedy these errors without success... and have searched alternative Picaview without luck... and so I ask here, if I have another option for such a simple Viewer. HPW on put a thumbnail in the right click in windows?

I've been using XnView Shell Extension:
http://www.XnView.com/en/index.html
(You don't need to any application of XnView, simply install the shell extension).

It works exactly like PicaView, but has many more features, including the amendment of the graphics formats, by specifying the size of the preview window and more.

And best of all, it's FREE!

Thanks for trying to help me and I found already this site but was'nt be able to make it work for me, probably because I'm 82 years old and am certainly not a guru when it comes to computers, but if you have other thoughts on the subject, they will be welcome as long as they are simple, if you get what I mean.

Since we have no way to know what you
already tried or what the program that has been
you were happy with... this question is difficult to
    fix.

Question... When you view your photos now
.. are you using Windows Live Photo Gallery?

I'm guessing it was Windows Photo
    Gallery?

Perhaps the two programs are still available...

I wonder if you could go to... Start Orb / All
Programs / Windows Photo Gallery... and
the launch of the old version?

    Hello

Thank you for contacting Microsoft Community.
Unfortunately, this is part of the Windows kernel, is not possible to change. But, you can change the file extension (.jpg, .gif, .png, etc.) to another extension of file unknown so that the menu does not appear.
There are third-party utilities which claim to have done this, but Microsoft does not recommend the use of these utilities because they can cause catastrophic effects. In this case. Microsoft will not take responsibility for the problem, so you should contact the developer. Therefore, if you wish, you can use the utilities at your own risk.

  • I've upgraded to windows 7. where is my right click Print in the missing model?

HP photosmart d7460 with all software installed on windows XP.   I had several photos of a folder selection function and do a right-click then presented with a copy to the model photo function.

I lost this feature after the purchase of a new computer with windows 7 and re - install all HP software.

I can access the photo through HP essentials model > print > print at home > photo model.

Want the option to context menu to reappear.   Any suggestions other than to re - install the HP software, which I did several times since the new computer arrived?

    Thank you

    Murphy's law in action

I found what I was looking under right click > open with > photo model.  Thought it had been a little less with the right button > print.

Give me rap backwards of the ear.

  • Don't right click the image to send it in an email

I just changed laptops from my 3 year well used Toshiba for Toshiba used at the age of two years of my husband.  I copied all my old data from laptop to my husband and set up Windows Mail with my address.  Everything works fine, except that, with my old laptop, I could right-click on a photo and options would come to the top where he send (Documents, e-mail, etc.).  With this one, I do this and it does not send the photo to an e-mail message in Windows Mail as did my other computer.  Is there something in my mail options I need to change?  The two laptops are Vista.  Thank you.

Looks like your Windows Mail has not all faults.
Open the applet default programs, which you can access either from
the start menu or via the Control Panel, then click on the first point:
    "Set your default programs".
After a few seconds, a list of programs appears. Click on "Windows".
Mail ". If it does not respond by "this program has all its flaws.
then fix it by clicking on the option indicated by the first green arrow.

  • How to print several images and select like in windows xp when you right click and select print

Hi, I have Windows 7 and I recently wanted to print something I that I was accustomed to Windows XP, when you right click on a photo and you can check which photos you want to print from a folder and choose the format of pocket or something I really need someone to help me with this or make an add-on.

You can print several small pictures on a single page.

    1. Press on and hold down the CTRL key, and then click the pictures you want to print.

    2. Right-click one of the selected photos and then click on print.

    3. In the print pictures dialog box, select the size of the image and the number of copies.

You will see a preview of your image in the print pictures dialog box. According to the number of photos you print, you can use more than one sheet of paper.

    4. When you are finished, click on print.

Right-click accidents are caused by third-party shell extensions. Use the excellent ShellExView tool to isolate the problem. For more information, see "Method 2" section right-click is slow or weird behavior caused by context menus management.

I was on facebook and remove an icon by using the right-click menu, but then all my photos and pictures of profile, could no longer be seen. I was able to view them in the browser, so it's something I've done in Firefox. How can I unlock a site?

If you select that right click menu context then you block all images from this area and not a specific image, so do not use that.

    • Check exceptions in tools > Options > content: Load Images > Exceptions (for example sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net)

You can use the following steps to check if the images are blocked:

    • Click on the "More information" button to open the "Page Info" with the Security tab selected (also accessible via "tools > Page Info").
    • Go to the Media of the window tab "tools > Page Info.
    • Select the first link of the image and scroll down through the list with the arrow down.
    • If an image in the list is grayed out and there is a check mark in the box "block Images of..." and remove this mark to unlock the images from this area.
  • Windows Explorer closes and restarts (?) when I right click on a file photo.

One time, I installed a software to go with a slide scanner. The software changed to the default program for photo files and then proceeds to seize up after that about 12 slides have been scanned. I removed the software, but every time I do a right-click on a file photo, jpeg, gif, bitmap, etc., or try to open the file menu when one is highlighted, close all Windows Explorer Windows and icons in the taskbar and desktop disappear for a while. The last two return after a minute or two, but not all open windows. Other programs such as Internet Explorer or MS Word are not affected.

I suspect that the defective scanner software installed an entry in the context menu. Search for it and delete it using the ShellExView free program:

  • Error 0 x 80090009: invalid flags specified, when I try to delete documents, photos, etc. by right click; Impossible to remove; Vista Home Premium

I'm unable to delete documents, photos, etc. of my files by the usual method of mouse right click and selecting delete. The message "error 0 x 80090009: Invalid Flags specified" appears and click Try Again does not help. I emptied the Recycle Bin to make sure that it was not complete. I have Vista Home Premium.

Thank you. I have gone through articles. They were somewhat useful.  It seems that the trash does not accept the delete, but I can work around it by removing permanently without going through the trash using the click, move, delete approach.

  • Right click on the folder for the photo, there is no pictures in the folder

I had all my photos and my transferred files from an old computer to a new one. When I click on the photos, I see all my photo folders. When I open a folder, I can see all the photos. However, when I click on an image and expand there is no image. Only a black vertical line. The majority of my photos is here. As I started to go through each folder I noticed that not all images have been affected. Only the pictures randomly in a few files. I also noticed that I am able to open these pictures in paint. When I right-click on an image in the folder I opened with paint and I can see the enlarged image. Someone had this problem? If Yes, have you been able to solve and how? Thank you...

It's great news that you can view them in the paint.  This means that image files are fine, but the photo viewer program is the problem.

To fix that, I would first ask to open Windows Update and make sure you have all updates, including optional, because updates of things like this (outside security) will not be a required update.

If you have already all the optional updates, and it still doesn't work, I would recommend that you re-install the program Microsoft Photo Gallery of the official page Web Windows Essentials and then see if it solved the problem.
