pictures of the outside work plan...

I use Flash 5.0 (AS3)

I have a great graphic of a map that doesn't move to highlight the different sectioins.  The card is greater than the size of the artboard, but instead of everything being invisible which is off the coast of the artboard, it still shows upwards. is there a way to see the ONLY graphics/symbols that are ON the artboard in your swf file?

You can use a mask which is only the size of the artboard.  To do this, draw a tectangle and convert it to a movieclip.  Then resixe as movieclip to the size of the artboard.  Give it an instance name ("mapmask" is as good as no matter what) and assign it to be the mask of your map (also a MovieClip) by using the mask of the map property...

Map.Mask = mapmask;

    In CS5, it disappears just automatically so I can access my quick true office. But now in CC, it become irritating because it just keep obstructing my view.

    Controls Oregon (x, y = 0.0) to a point of coordinates of objects? I'm not referring to the "reference Point".

    I use a lot of work plans and sometimes Oregon comes from the new artboard I created, which is great for my workflow. I place a lot of objects using the higher coordination tool.

  • move the selection to the new work plan

    Hi guys,.

    I'm new to Illustrator script but I have done some in InDesign.

    I want a script to move a selection to a new work plan and be able to name the work plan.

    I can't find something in the DOM as artboards.add ().

    Any help?

    Hi jakec88782761,

    are what version of picture you?

    Working with work plans is possible since CS4 +.

    Here's a simple example in [JS]

    var AB_1 = activeDocument.artboards.add([0,50,200,0]);
    AB_1.name = 'first quadrant';
    var AB_2 = activeDocument.artboards.add([-200,50,0,0]);
    AB_2.name = 'second quadrant';
    var AB_3 = activeDocument.artboards.add([-200,0,0,-50]);
    AB_3.name = 'third quadrant';
    var AB_4 = activeDocument.artboards.add([0,0,200,-50]);
    AB_4.name = 'fourth quadrant';

  • Is it possible to ignore white space when exporting PNG files. Not the background / work plan

    I have icons, which have white features, mask the other lines to create my icons. Instead of me will expanding the traits and then using pathfinder to create transparent traces to finally create a fill black "single", is it possible to simply export and ignore white? Is there a script that would exist? That would make my life so much easier.

    sBDN2fB.png

    Ignore the white on the smallest sprocket, but white on the cotyledon is necessary for the icon. To make this work, I would usually expand all items and use pathfinder to create my forms. It is a bit tedious doing lots of icons. I would like to know if there is an easier way to do it.

    Thank you!

    Make sure that 'White' is in the Swatch Panel, then choose white as "Transparent" and "8-bit" PNG in the color table.

    Or you can rework your works of art to be truly transparent.

    Or fix the PNG in Photoshop.

  • Select all objects in the active work plan

    Hello

    I want to select all objects in terms of active work using javascript

    someone help me please with script

    Thank you

    APPU

    JavaScript is case-sensitive, activedocument is not the same thing as activeDocument

    change

    var doc = app.activedocument;

    TO

    var doc = app.activeDocument;

    You can't use the methods themselves, must qualify the first object

    change

    selectObjectsOnActiveArtboard();

    TO

    doc.selectObjectsOnActiveArtboard();

    You should start by reading The Intro from Adobe to the script and practice according to the samples presented, then continue with Illustrator Scripting Guide and the Reference of Scripting in Illustrator

  • My file has plenty of empty space 'outside' of the work plan that I can't get rid of? How to crop the file to the artboard size real?

    Screen Shot 2016-02-12 at 1.05.55 PM.png

    Above is my plan of work and space to work, but when I try to resize the image (or save it in jpeg format to show the problem I have) there is a ton of white space outside the artboard and the crop tool and two work plan tool say that my file is not as large as the size above , but its been as big as the screenshot below.

    Screen Shot 2016-02-12 at 1.05.57 PM.png

    I can't find anyone else having this problem. Am I the only one? How can I solve this problem? It is to be a huge problem for web design. And he did it for all of my projects as web design he updated to have work plans.

    Hi Nicole,.

    I'm sure that it is a problem that we followed. We have not addressed it yet, but it's on our list of things to fix.

    Plan of work documents have a canvas in auto-expand; This is part of the user experience, which gives a feeling of infinite to the document; You can place things anywhere in the view, and they should remain visible no matter where you drag. In order to maintain this illusion, paint us the entire surface to mate with the same color outside work plans.

    Hide us this canvas from you, even if it's still there. You can see how big it is at any time by choosing "Image > canvas... size. ». That size will change as things move around, getting bigger and smaller than necessary. The hidden canvas size will break to the next more or less 'limit of diamonds", which is nominally in increments of 1024 pixels. This is done for performance.

    The problem is that the export code is really not updated as the work plans can develop and reduce the canvas. When you export a document of work plan, it looks at the current size of the Web and uses only. That's why you get that extra white space. This extra space problem happens also for other things, like thumbnails of document. We agree it's pretty boring, and as I said, it's on our list to fix.

    Try this workaround:

    1. download your ready to export document.

    2. in the work plan tool, select the gear icon (top tool bar, far right) and uncheck auto-size canvas

    3. Select the Rectangle tool and cover the artboard from edge to edge. (Snap allows here)

    4. Select the crop option. This can reduce the canvas to just the boundaries of the artboard.

    5 export under..., choose your format, for example PNG. and export.

    6. don't check any extra white space.

    Note that "Web auto-size" is a property of document-sticky and is saved with the document.

  • work plans and the origin

    Hi, I am looking to attract some objects on fixed positions on work plans by first defining the origin of the document to the top - left of the artboard. However, this seems to work for some of the work plans, but not for all.

    Example code:

    #target illustrator

    // create artboards
    var CurrentDoc = app.documents.add ( DocumentColorSpace.CMYK, 595, 841, 12, DocumentArtboardLayout.GridByRow, 50, 6);
    var artboardRef = CurrentDoc.artboards;

    // loopt through all artboards
    for ( var i = 0; i < artboardRef.length; i++ )
      {
       // set page and ruler origin
       var RulerLeft = artboardRef[i].artboardRect[0];
       var RulerTop  = artboardRef[i].artboardRect[1] ;
       CurrentDoc.rulerOrigin = [RulerLeft,RulerTop];
       CurrentDoc.pageOrigin  = [RulerLeft,RulerTop];

       //add text to artboard
       var cTextRef = CurrentDoc.textFrames.add();
       cTextRef.textRange.characterAttributes.textFont=app.textFonts.getByName("Verdana");
       cTextRef.textRange.characterAttributes.size = 27;
       cTextRef.contents = "ArtBoard: "+ (i+1);
       cTextRef.left = +55;
       cTextRef.top = -64;
       redraw();
      }

    8 of the 12 work plans get the text at the right position (but not in the right order when I look at the range of work plans). Text for 4 work plans is placed completely outside all work plans.

    Any help is appreciated,

    Michel

    A mathematical operation is Ok, no need to set the origin.

    #target illustrator

    // create artboards
    var CurrentDoc = app.documents.add ( DocumentColorSpace.CMYK, 595, 841, 12, DocumentArtboardLayout.GridByRow, 50, 6);
    var artboardRef = CurrentDoc.artboards;

    // loopt through all artboards
    for ( var i = 0; i < artboardRef.length; i++ )
      {
       // set page and ruler origin
       var RulerLeft = artboardRef[i].artboardRect[0];
       var RulerTop  = artboardRef[i].artboardRect[1] ;
       //CurrentDoc.rulerOrigin = [RulerLeft,RulerTop];
       //CurrentDoc.pageOrigin  = [RulerLeft,RulerTop];

       //add text to artboard
       var cTextRef = CurrentDoc.textFrames.add();
       cTextRef.textRange.characterAttributes.textFont=app.textFonts.getByName("Verdana");
       cTextRef.textRange.characterAttributes.size = 27;
       cTextRef.contents = "ArtBoard: "+ (i+1);
       cTextRef.left = RulerLeft +55;
       cTextRef.top = RulerTop -64;
       redraw();
      }

  • Work plans: selection of the artboard and unlock automatic disabling shapes in the work plans - possible?

    Hello

    I easily through the General work plan, and I saw immediately, so I thought I'd put it out there. Here are my two questions:

    1. is there a way to disable the ability to move a work plan while working in it? Essentially, to block the plan in place, but not the items it contains? If you use the automatic selection and slightly approach the edge of the plateau, then swipes the entire Board rather than just a few layers / items you want.

    2 is there a way to auto unlock all layers, including forms? It can be really frustrating for fish through the layers to find the form locked in order to remove a work plan. Command + / has not worked for me when I closed a single object manually.

    Thank you very much! I hope that these are not repeated questions.

    1. Yes. Use 'Position Lock' on the layer of the artboard properly said.

    2. Yes. Select the parent group or the artboard. While holding down the alt/option key, choose "Lock all layers in artboard...» "in the drop-down menu Layers Palette.

    This should unlock all layers inside this group or the artboard.

    (Probably, the fact that the menu does not change when you hold down the alt key is a bug, but it does not)

  • Why the my canvas size is bigger than my work plan?

    Hello

    I'm working on a larger project, where I have mulitple PSDs linked in a single document. The individual DSP that have all plans of work that are the same size, but in inspection of the size of the canvas on these documents vary considerably in size.

    This causes me some discomfort because:

    -When you place the PSD files in the main document, the bounding box of the PSD is much larger than the graphics I want to place.

    -Second, if I want to resize the size of the canvas on the current related DSP, I am trying, it shrinks the chart down much more that what I would actually. This causes me to have to change the size of each graphical element, which sometimes can be quite tedious.

    In my view, that the size of the canvas should be able to resize the artboard size I'm working on, if only when I have a single work plan I'm working on (which is currently the case).

    Is there a way to adjust PS for the canvas size will correspond to the size of the artboard? Whereas if I adjust the length of the arboard, the size of the canvas reflects the change in size?

    Thank you.

    Unfortunately, it is still an open question in our backlog of work.

    The following workaround solution is clumsy, but should work:

    1. choose the tool work plan.

    2 Unger, the gear icon, deselect auto size canvas. This setting affects only the current document.

    3. adjust the size of your canvas as needed using the Image-> canvas size command. It will remain at that size until you change it again manually.

    Work plan documents do not show the extent of the Web, but there are ways to see: layers of filling (with disabled auto-nid) under all work plans, for example.

  • Photoshop work plans names and duplicate in the generator

    bare with me for a sec, while I explain.

    right now I use the generator to save on my files IE 1.jpg10, 2.jpg10, 3.jpg10.  those who would be the slides for my banner,

    I do 4 sizes, 300 x 250, 336 x 280, 728 x 90 and 160 x 600, all with the same naming convention.

    The new work plans are impressive. However, I have only 1 instance of 1.jpg10 without errors,

    is there a way to generate and to not get these errors in double?

    Screen Shot 2015-08-11 at 6.42.16 PM.png

    Yes, it can not save 2 files with the same name in the same location.  If they need to have the same file names, save it in a different folder (will be subfolder in the folder "name of file-assets")

    to do this, add following to name of the folder by "/" in the name of the layer, such as "artboard1/1.jpg10".
