  I can do just the 3rd option "erase your device with the recovery mode. When I follow the steps after restarting iTunes ipad wonder if I want to allow access to the ipad data. When I select Yes, ipad requires the PIN. When I select No, nothing happens, ipad does not connect to ituons.
