Pixi speakers, they both work

I wonder if the two speakers on the Pixi are supposed to work or one of them? I noticed that the one on the left (looking at the back of the phone) makes no noise, just the right one. Is it blown or is it the way it is supossed to be? Thanks for your help!

I read elsewhere that only one is working and the other is for aesthetics.

Same thing with my Pixi Plus as well.

EDIT: If you wanted to, you could remove the rear cover and see for yourself.  There is only one speaker on the phone.

I have used Firefox for years, about a week before Christmas, I tried to use the sky go for the 1st time in 6 to 8 weeks and it wouldn't work. It was as if there was no player at all - no buffering, no error message, just a white box where the player is supposed to be. I recently discovered that player BT also does not play. Too just, who acts as if there is no video player here. Used to work properly, and both are still in IE and Chrome.

  • Speakers do not work on my Satellite Pro U200

    Hello

I have problem - speakers do not work.
If I plug the headphones on making mini-jack - works perfectly.
    I have installed WinXPPro.
Probably I need a driver, but I put t remember the name of the driver.
    Any ideas?

    Thanks for your help

    I agree with Akuma.
If the headphone jack works it looks like a hardware problem. Maybe the internal speakers are faulty or not connected properly to the motherboard.

The best way would be to contact an ASP. They can check your laptop and swap the internal speakers if it of necessary.

  • Satellite C855 - speakers suddenly stopped working

I have a Satellite C855-1J2 running Windows 7 Edition Home Premium SP1. I turned on December 21, 2012 and installed five applications - the latest versions of Firefox, CeltX, Notepad ++, Open Office and Microsoft Security Essentials (I removed McAfee). I have the latest Windows. Since then I have not installed other applications.

Three days later, my laptop was working fine until, suddenly, that the speakers stopped working. I can identify the specific incident that caused it. I connected a pair of perfectly ordinary headphones using the standard headphone jack, power the laptop off, after that I was done listening but headphones plugged on the left.

When I turned on the laptop back the next day, no sound came in headphones.
When I unplugged them, no sound came from the speakers.
I rebooted my machine and the speakers worked fine.

However, I am now in a situation where whenever I turn on my laptop, the speakers do not work and they will work again when I restart then. A little investigation of this problem shows the following...

Whenever I turn on my laptop and go to control panel-> hardware and sound-> manage Audio devices I see two items:

    (1) ' - high definition Audio Device - speakers not plugged"with a speaker greyed out icon with a red arrow.

    (2) "audio digital (S/PDIF) - high definition Audio Device - default device" with a colored external amplifier icon (it looks a bit like a DVD player) with a green check mark. There is an icon of audio level next to him that shows sound whenever the sound is played on my laptop, but no sound is audible, either through my speakers or headphones.

Whenever I then reboot my laptop and go to control panel-> hardware and sound-> manage Audio devices I can see an article:
"Speakers - Realtek High Definition Audio - Default Device" with a colorful speaker and a green arrow icon. The sound works perfectly well.

I already looked online and the Toshiba forums for a solution to this, but while I found lots of people with similar problems of speaker with Toshiba Satellite laptops, I have not found a solution (and when I say something, I mean something a little more useful that "have you tried completely reinstalling your operating system') so this thread.

Even if a reboot is currently to solve my problem, I obviously shouldn't have to restart my machine at all in order to get something as simple as his, so my questions are:
    (1) what is the cause of this problem - in other words, why what is happening?
    (2) what is the Toshiba solution to this problem?

    Thank you very much.

    Hello

It seems to me that the issue you described above that the speakers would not be chosen as device by default, but the Audio Digital (S/PDIF).
Somehow the audio driver cannot detect the first initialization of the system speakers.

I don't know why this happened but I have two proposals:

(* 1) * uninstall the audio driver from the system. Download the driver from his most recent of the Toshiba page and install it after restarting the laptop first.

(* 2) * if installing the audio driver is not enough, the last resort would be the recovery of the system.

(> 2) what is the Toshiba solution to this problem?

    • Reset the BIOS Setup
    • Update the BIOS to version 2.28

    Hello @hifive11,

I read your post on how your laptop speakers do not work, but the headphones work fine, and I'd be happy to help you in this case!

The first step that I recommend is to follow this document on the no sound on speakers (Windows 7). This should help to restore the sound from your speakers.

You can also activate the speakers on your computer as default playback device. This is possible by following the steps below:

    1. click on the Start button

    2. click on Control Panel

    3. click hardware and sound (the icons of sort by 'category' Control Panel) and then click on its

    4. under reading, you should see one or two speaker icons. One of them should have a green check mark next to it (which will be the helmet of your laptop device). If the second speaker icon is not visible, right-click in the list of devices and select Show disabled devices

    5. a second disabled icon "speakers" should appear. Right click on this icon, then click Activate

    6. test your speakers

If the problem persists, I recommend to you your laptop a previous restore point before the speakers stopped working. This can be done by following the steps described in this document on using Microsoft System Restore (Windows 7).

Please re-post with the results of your troubleshooting, and I look forward to your response!

  • speakers do not work

There is an automatic update of Windows on my computer today. Now my speakers do not work with Firefox or Chrome, but they do not work with Internet Explorer, I prefer not to use as my browser. What has happened, how can I get that back?

Click on the link below. Enter your product number as that indicated on the Service tag on the bottom of the laptop (can be under the battery). You can also get the product number by pressing Fn + ESC key. After you enter the PN, click Next, then choose the software & Drivers. On the next page use the menu drop down to select your (probably Windows 7 64-bit) operating system. A list will fill with the drivers. Download & install the latest Audio driver.

Hello. I guess that your dock is a series of E? I have a Latitude E5420 sitting on an E port and the audio is delivered through internal speakers normally. The IDT audio driver is installed and speakers selected as default playback device.

Audio is delivered through external speakers only when they are connected to the audio input jack of the laptop or the plug of the dock.

I wonder if the socket on your dock may be faulty and the laptop originally to think that there is a plug in it when there is not one.

  • Speakers have stopped working on Pavilion DV7

    Hello

Please can someone help.  I just noticed that my external speakers on my laptop to 6c52ea Pavilion DV7 stopped working. I still don't have sound when I use it (I don't have any notification or launch sounds) so I do not know when they were working last ok. I have checked various settings and can see that the sound comes from headset simply not the "external" speaker  I fear I am a novice, so can't really give you much of a clue, but I made sure that the volume is high enough and not cut etc.

Following the advice of someone else, I removed the battery and held the power button for 30 seconds to see if the speakers themselves sorted after the reboot, but this did not help.

I would be grateful for some advice please, thank you very much.

    Hello

    Try the following.

Download IDT Audio Installer on the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

    http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp58001-58500/sp58226.exe

One time finished, open windows control panel, open Device Manager and open sound, video and game controllers.  Right click on the IDT device and select uninstall - also, you should get a command prompt to delete the current driver, check the box allow this and then proceed to uninstall.

When you're done, shut down the laptop, unplug the AC adapter and then remove the battery.  Press and hold the Power button for 30 seconds.  Reinsert the battery and plug in the AC adapter.

Robinet tap away at the key esc that you start the computer to launch the Start Menu, and then select f10 to open the bios menu.  Press f5 to load the default values (sometimes it's f9, but the menu below indicates the correct key), use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press ENTER.  Press f10 to save the setting and still use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press on enter.

Allow Windows to fully - charge it will automatically load an audio driver, but let just this complete.  Then open your download folder, right-click on the IDT Installer and select "Run as Administrator" to launch the installation.  Once this done, do a right-click the speaker icon in the taskbar and select playback devices.  'Speakers and headphones' left click once to highlight, and then click the Set Default button - check if you now audio.

    Kind regards

  • BlackBerry Smartphones "BOLD" speakers do not work with the battery cover on

    Hello world

I'm a relatively new Blackberry owner.  I have "BOLD" for the last two months and it's been great. One of the things that impressed me at first was the quality of the sound from the internal speakers.  Everything worked well for the first few weeks. In the last fews days, I noticed that I was missing calls because I heard the ring. Then I noticed that I couldn't hear songs when played music library.  Thinking that it was some glitch of system, I took out the battery and it worked for awhile, but then stopped.  Only after that examine more closely did achieve the work of great speakers with the cap of dough, but as soon as I put it back top makes it almost inaudible

At the moment I have with the lid not clicked in all above.  In this position the speakers sound fantastic, but the rear could in a click at any time and silent sound again.  Obviously not a good long-term fix. I searched these tips and have not found a similar problem.  Right now, I think to order a cover for replacement of Amazon to see if it could be that my current coverage is "folded" or otherwise do something weird to the speakers.

I was wondering if anyone else has run into this and found a solution.

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Rusty

Wow, this is one weird, never heard talk about this problem before. If you have insurance for your phone, go to the store and get a new one, this is what I would do or you can use your warranty with blackberry and get a new one on their part. I know this isn't much help, but why bother with a different battery cover when you can probably get a new phone. If you decide to go with the new battery cover reply back and let us know if the problem is resolved.

I have CS5 [edit: Creative Suite, Creative Suite 2] on MAC running MAC Mountain Lion. They will work on Yosemite or Elcapitan?

My iMac and Powerbook pro both run processors intel based. The operating system is 10.8.5 Mountain Lion.

Do you mean you're under CS2 on OS X 10.8.5?

It is not possible in a native Mac environment (unless you use the Windows of Parallels or Bootcamp on Mac version)...

CS2 is a PowerPC application designed to run on Mac computers with PowerPC processors. When Apple has switched to processors Intel, Apple briefly provided a translator called "Rosetta" to run the applications on Macs PowerPC to Intel processors.

Rosetta was not understood or supported since OS X 10.7 "Lion". If (including CS2) PowerPC applications does not work on OS X 10.7 go.
