  I just downloaded the new 5.0 BB Desktop Manager software (I was reluctant to do so for weeks because I didn't start having problems, I now of course). All of a sudden my Outlook calendar (2003) is not at all with the device, despite my software that is configured to do this. All other items perfectly synch - address book, tasks and memos - but the address book synchronization is yet to start, is not as if I get error messages.

  What I come back to the Desktop Manager 4.7 - and if yes, can someone guide me through 5.0 uninstall and reinstallation of the 4, 7--or is there a workaround? Trying to avoid spending hours on the phone with Verizon that will close just pass me BB support!

  Are you sure that there are no default [CICAL] in your service books? Otherwise, you can clear the calendar making it:

  Select Desktop Manager > Backup and Restore > advanced. On the right side you will see all the databases. Select calendar and click 'clear '. Who will wipe everything on the calendar. Then go back and restart the sync of the calendar. If she does not add entries to the phone and wants to remove items from your Outllok, use the option "sync" and you should be ok.   Thank you.  I tried everything in the manual and the FAQ.  So I just deleted my calendar from Device Manager entries (erase / selected data / calendar).  Then I deleted my gmail account.  Then I reinstalled my gmail and synced with my calendar again.  It fixed the problem, but there is a large number of through Blackberry decided to upgrade the software every time.  I'm leaning towards Android or I phone for my next phone.  The torch has been a huge disappointment.

  Access your Windows Live e-mail. in the left click of Contacts, click Add people, and then you will see the link to Outlook.

  Or on your Windows Live page in the upper right, click on Options, more Options. Under the personalization of your Contacts click on import of Contacts going to the same place as above.

  Under manage your account, you will see: send/receive emails from other accounts that you might want to use because you have two.

  Hello. I use my palm pixi to receive emails from my exchange online server. However, when I try to put in place the same exchange server to synchronize with my calendar on my phone, it won't let me. I get an error saying "an account using this e-mail already exists".   Try to remove the e-mail account. Then go back and add the calendar account to see if it will pass then through. If it does not check if your email to see if he added, otherwise add it back into the e-mail settings.

  We discovered that Exchange 2007 has five specific steps that need to occur in a particular order for CFPOP resume working properly. We did it (despite several security issues) because this function is strictly internal. Not recommended for an application available for the general public.

  Procedure for Exchange 2007 works for CFPOP:
  (1) start the service of POP on the Exchange 2007 server.
  (2) allow the e-mail accounts to use POP3.
  (3) lower the requirements of security on these accounts to allow CF to send clear text instead of encrypted (SSL) requests for POP3.
  (4) set the Exchange Server to accept the relay.
  (5) lower the safety requirements for the relay.

  I hope I explained this correctly. That's how my network supervisor explained to me there.

• iPhone not syncing Contacts with Outlook 2010 on Windows PC

  For years, I have synced my contacts (and calendar) with Outlook 2010 Professional on my PC with Windows 7 Home Premium via the USB port.  (I don't want to use iCloud - I want to sync with the PC).

  Suddenly, all my contacts on my iPhone 5 have disappeared.  I think that they were deleted when I synced my phone today.  They are always in Outlook on my PC.  My phone favorites are still on my phone, but they are only numbers with no name.

  I tried to synchronize.  I tried to reset sync history.  I tried a hard reboot on my phone.  I made these several times in different order.  No dice.

  My Calendars always sync, but no contact.  This is not good.

  The only change that was made was recently an update of iOS on my iPhone last night to version 9.3.4.

  Because I believe that all my contacts are on my phone yesterday and now they are gone today after the iOS and/or sync, I strongly suspect not syncing contacts is somehow related to the update of iOS.

  Everyone knows this?  Does anyone have any suggestions?  Thank you much in advance.

  I'm sorry to hear that you are away from your contacts after update your iPhone to iOS 9.3.4.  Since you do not use iCloud and instead to synchronize your PC with iTunes, you did a backup of your iPhone before updating?  If so, you can restore your iPhone using iTunes:

  Restore your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch from a backup

  If you do not have a recent backup of the data on your iPhone, you can try to resynchronize your Outlook data on your iPhone.  The resources below provides troubleshooting for this process steps.

  No you don't need the same phone.
  You can select while restoring with protect which phone you want to use the backup.

  Right now, you can't.  Yahoo provides support for syncing the iPhone using CalDAV, but which currently excludes Windows and Google devices.

  Your result from step 1 is exactly as planned... the built-in Wizard GMail via IMAP, which is used for email only. To add the calendar or contacts to an IMAP configuration, you must separately configure CalDav or Mac OS x Server.

  Your result, however, in step 2 should not... it is indeed the exact method to integrate a Google Apps account with BB10 device, as long as you continued this process and fill in all the mandatory fields (server name, port, account information, etc.). Carefully note please that unless you are a subscriber to pay Google Apps, this method will not work for you unless you have previously configured it on the exact device on that you are trying to configure. Google has stopped support for free consumer EAS accounts some time previously and only allows such accounts for free on devices that have been previously configured before when they stopped this support. For any new device, only real paying subscribers of Google Apps can use EAS with Google... all others are limited (by Google) to IMAP/Mac OS x Server/CalDav.
