  There is no way to sync contacts between your phone and your desktop computer without using Outlook. Link is simply the 'link' between the phone and Outlook. You have nothing to 'link' your contacts without Outlook.

  Simply link to make backups of device or sync photos and media on your computer.

  You should contact your wireless service provider and ask them to you degrades to the BlackBerry.  BlackBerry will not communicate with or through this forum.  It is a peer to peer forum as stated at the top of this screen under the "Welcome!"

  I suggest you upgrade your BlackBerry Desktop Software and then try to sync.

  Go to www.blackberry.com/desktop to get the software and then try to perform the synchronization.

• BlackBerry Z10 Z10 does not synchronize all the contacts

  I got my Z10 yesterday of an iPhone and it's not sync all contacts with my Windows Live (Outlook.com) account.

  I noticed that when I went to call someone and could not find their contact.  Talk about panic that I thought he was gone forever, possibly stored on my old camera locally and not synchronized with Live.  I logged Live and he was there.  I couldn't find an option to force a sync so I have disabled synchronization of contact who took ALL the contacts and then I turned back on it and they came back.  The contact that I needed was there.

  Later, I went to call someone else and their contact was not there.  I started looking through my list and noticed that there are a few missing.  Turned contact sync and some come back, but then others are missing.  I did this about 5 times now and have not a list complete.

  Anyone has any idea why?  Y at - it an option to make the Z10 save contacts on site?  I don't want to be dependent on the account that I connect it my contacts list.  I don't want to lose them if unlink an account.

  My provider has refused to communicate with the BlackBerry® Technical Support Services and suggested that I use Gmail instead.  I am now using Gmail sync my contacts and using Live for email, calendar and reminders.

• BlackBerry Q10 ActiveSync does not synchronize my Contacts after changing to another Exchange Server

  I changed to another supplier of services of Exchange and now the problems with my Contacts on the Blackberry Q10. After the configuration of the new Exchange ActiveSync account, I observe the folliwng:

  1. New contacts created in Outlook / Exchange Server will not synchronize to the Q10.
  2. New contacts created on the Blackberry are synchronized backed the Exchange Server / Outlook Client.
  3. BlackBerry-Contacts are visible, but won't open (like "zombies").
  4. BlackBerry Contacts from other sources (Facebook, WhatsApp) are no longer bound together, in other words, it seems that the person has multiple contacts entries.
  5. Sending / receiving mails and work on the Blackberry calendar entries.

  I fixed it myself. Now, the Contacts are all back in, deduplicated and healthy. That's what I did, step by step, in settings > accounts:
  1 turn off Sync contact on the Exchange ActiveSync account
  2 delete the Facebook account
  3 remove account Skype and gmail
  4. run "Delete local Contacts"
  5. in Contacts, check the number of Contacts: contact no.
  Then in settings > accounts:
  6. turn on synchronization of Contact for an Exchange account
  7. This brought all Exchange contacts
  8. Add Facebook, Skype and a gmail accounts.

  I bought a brand new phone BalckBerry Z10/STL100-3 (OS 10.3.2.2154) a week ago. But from the beginning I was not able to run any apk file. Preinstalled same amazon store or amazon did not work (green bar chimneys around 80%)! I tried just about everything suggested in this forum, but it still does not work. Yesterday, I updated my phone (OS 10.3.2.2836) cannot be loaded using Sechesi, always the apk files (green bar fireplace 80%).

  Any ideas how to solve this problem?

• BlackBerry Blackberry Q10 Q10 does not back up and won't turn on completely.

  A few days ago my Blackberry touchscreen has stopped working so I got fixed. After that it would just turn. It would be stuck at the screen of boot/load of 100% and is not always driven despite hours of load. I tried to save but my blackberry link begins first 'prepare the backup' longer than usual and then stops giving me the message "backup did not try to see if the unit is unplugged. I tried everything and I am at my wits end. Need help. I want to just back up my data now and reset of my blackberry. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  Tried many times, but failed. Managed to manually transfer all my media to my computer but lost the majority of my contacts and did a reset. Put me back up a bit in terms of data, but at least I can reuse my Q10.

• Google Calendar does not synchronize with all calendars.

  Just set up my new Surface RT to synchronize my Google calendars, but it is not to shoot the 'other calendars' (shared) I subscribed to by URL. For example, I have a calendar for my dish Uni which is drawn in Google calendars, but does not appear on my Surface because it is not one of "my calendars".

  I read that the solution for this on mobile devices is going to http://m.google.com/sync, log and Google Sync allows you to choose which calendars synchronized.   Isn't rather stupid that it is not just to sync all of your calendars by default? I mean Holy crap, if I see something in my calendar on my PC I have probably also want to see on my tablet... Any ideas?

  I was finally able to resolve this (work around actually up to MS and Google work things). I followed the following steps:

  1. in IE10 (desktop mode), click the tools (Alt + X)

  2. click on F12 developer tools

  3. in the window that opens, click Tools

  4. expand the "Change user agent string" tab and select "Apple Safari (iPAD)"

  5. return to the window of IE10 and go to this address: m.google.com/sync

  6. connect to your google account if you aren't already.

  7. click on "WindowsMail.

  8. in the URL, you will see this string (without the quotes): "supportMultiCalendars = false". Change cela to "supportMultiCalendars = true" and reload the page.

  9. now your google calendars will be displayed. The main google calendar will be displayed as "my calendars". Other calendars will appear as 'shared calendars' and calendars under this option will not be selected.

  10. in order to select those "other calendars", disable JavaScript in IE10. Do so by following the instructions here (these instructions are for IE9, but also apply to the IE10): http://browsers.about.com/od/internetexplorertutorials/ss/disable-javascript-ie9.htm

  11. Select the calendars you want to add (I don't remember if I was refresh the page before the change takes effect Javascript).

  12. click on "Save".

  13 open the calendar application to make sure that your "other Google calendars" now appear in the app.

• BlackBerry Blackberry Maps Z10 does not not on Telus

  BlackBerry Maps were not loading for me since yesterday at 19:00.  I rebooted my phone, took in the SIM without success.  The map loads and get my position, but the entire map is just a blank white screen.

  A friend in one of the BBM groups in that I am is also having the same problem with a Z10 on Telus.  It is in Calgary, I'm in Toronto.  Internet and everything works.  Third-party applications that use the API of the card still work perfectly.

  I'm on Telus with an OS Z10 10.1.0.4181

  I use the Blackberry Maps 10.1.0.810 version

  There work.  had clear the history:

  1. open maps

  2. pull on the adjustment of the top menu (sliding down the top and press settings)

  3 clear history

  4. all clear

  5 cards close and restart maps

  Don't know why it would have created a problem although...

  I've recently updated the google search application and now when I try and send a text message with the command voice bike it opens google search, and am wondering what the message is, but then proceeds to put my message in the google search bar as if I want to search what I just said.   I was able to find a solution. Went on app store and tried a Google search and uninstalled the update. Back to normal now. Thanks for the reply

  If you can get guaranteed support, that sounds like the best approach at this point. It is always best to try to fix it yourself first, and I think it's an easy fix, but if you can't do it then you can not do. Good luck.

  You have the two desktop software and link configurΘ for dΘmarrer when a device is connected to your Mac. You must go into the Desktop software settings (I don't remember exactly what to do, but there should be some settings at the top right) and set it to not open when a device is connected. Once you have it set to not open when your phone is connected, make sure that the link is set to open. That should solve your problem.

  Thanks for your reply, but recognized link bb cant he showed a black berries knowledge so the transferdata button is impossible / cannot click. so I can't back up my files and data if I reloaded the OS. are there\s any idea/way of backing up my files if my phne was frozen?
