PL. SQL for sites continued
Hello all;I'm learning how to use pl/sql to perform a simple extraction. I am using the library morgan (obtained from my initial announcement) to help things, but I'm running into so many problems, that's why I need help.
This is what I have so far
I performed the necessary subsidies,
the first grant was to give a particular user in my database, but when I try the following simple statement to see if I can connect to the site server using the sql statement below dbms_network_acl_admin
select utl_http.request('http://www.bbcnews.com')from dual
*
ERROR at line 1:
ORA-29273: HTTP request failed
ORA-06512: at "SYS.UTL_HTTP", line 1722
ORA-24247: network access denied by access control list (ACL)
ORA-06512: at line 1
Why is this the case. I thought it was a problem of port but I don't know how to set and assign the correct port and I also need to further understand why it would be a port so number
There is a web service right behind this feature on maxmind.com - and that's what you should focus on use (see http://www.maxmind.com/app/web_services_city_usage).
It is a much more robust implementation, more a normal web page form submission and then scrape the resulting HTML page response.
I've posted sample code for calling a web service {message: id = 10158148} and using SOAP in {message: id = 4205205}. PL/SQL is a language very capable of dealing with web services. And the good thing is that you can create a PL/SQL interface for the web service that makes available as if it were a set of table - like normal data in the database - support all the functionality of a SELECT SQL statement (command, filtering, aggregation, etc.).

Stop asking save passwords for NEW sites, still keep filling passwords for sites ALREADY SAVED
So here's my problem. I have a handful of site where I leave FF save/fill in my password and user name information. For these sites, I WANT FF for save and continue to fill my login information. However, I do not want FF to save my credentials for ANY OTHER SITE.
Now while I have my login information stored in FF for these websites, if I disable "Remember passwords for sites" in Security Options, FF continues to fill my login information for these sites (despite the fact that it has always recorded info). Once I re - check this option, FF starts to fill in my password again.
AFAIK, disabling of "do not forget passwords for sites" is the only way to get FF to stop asking me if I want to have save my password, but if I do that it will also stop filling the passwords that I've saved.
So, is there a way either:
(A) have "Passwords sites Remember" disabled, but that FF inserts passwords I already saved it, or
(B) have 'passwords to Remember sites"enabled, but STOP asking me to save passwords for all new Web sites?I want to ONLY FF to register AND fill the passwords that I've saved. I don't want to be prompted to save passwords for all new sites either.
Is this possible? Maybe an add-on or about: config setting I could change?
Thanks in advance!

In the password prompt to remember:
2nd bulleted item - this choice is offered
"To say don't remember usernames and passwords for the current site of Firefox, click the menu drop down and select never save password for this Site." In the future, when you log on the website you will not be invited to record the user name and password. » -
Option "Remember passwords for sites" is not save
Firefox does not save my selected option to remember passwords. After a new installation (6.02) on Windows 7 but import my profile files from another Windows 7 machine (6.02). (The profile saved successfully previous passwords.)
Under Options > Security, I click "Remember passwords for sites" and close the control panel - but whenever I return to this setting, the option is clicked. This happens within a session open after moving between sites, not just for new sessions. I emptied all exceptions, and 'Continuous browsing history' and 'clear history' is certainly not checked in the history management settings.
My previous password information is all there and saved in password manager, I am just unable to get Firefox to allow using saved passwords or store my selection to save passwords.
Start Firefox in Firefox to solve the issues in Safe Mode to check if one of the acceleration hardware or extensions is the origin of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > appearance/themes).
- Makes no changes on the start safe mode window.

After the ESR 38.0.1 (and later upgrade to 38.0.5) the "Remember passwords for sites" setting is disabled after the closure of a browsing session. If I like the beginning of a new session, it works exactly as expected, but the setting never persists between sessions.
Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem.
- Put yourself in the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance
- Do NOT click on the reset button on the startup window Mode safe

I followed the instructions for the 'Password Manager settings':
Firefox will remember the default passwords. You may have turned this feature off, or told Firefox to never remember passwords for a particular site.
. At the top of the Firefox window, click the Tools menu and select Options.
. Select the Security Panel.
. If it is not already checked, check Remember password for sites.HOWEVER, the button "Remember passwords for sites" is blocked.
Help!

I choose to remember the story in the Privacy tab and remember passwords for sites on the Security tab in the Options, but when I close Firefox, it doesn't remember my cookies and I have to make the connections manually everytime I open Firefox.
In case you use "clear history of Firefox closing:
- do not delete 'Cookies' and 'Site preferences.
- Tools > Options > Privacy: history: [X] clear history of Firefox closing > settings
- https://support.Mozilla.org/KB/clear+recent+history
Note that compensation "Preferences of Site" clears all exceptions for cookies, images, windows pop up, installation of software and passwords.
If clearing cookies doesn't work, then it is possible that the cookies.sqlite file that stores the cookies is corrupted.
Rename (or delete) cookies.sqlite (cookies.sqlite.old) and delete other files to present as cookie cookies.sqlite - journal in the profile folder of Firefox in the case where the cookies.sqlite file has been corrupted.

Why the latest version has removed the padlock for sites that require a login?
It takes too much time on the high speed cable, to log my banking online. My body's response was that the latest version of Firefox had removed the icon of the lock for sites that require a connection. I want to know why it was deleted.
The padlock shows only that there is a secure connection and does not guarantee that you are connected to the right server. So you could always be connected to the wrong server if you make a typing mistake in the URL and someone said that mistyped the URL. The lock feature has been replaced by the identity button of the Site on the left end of the address bar (address).
https://support.Mozilla.com/en-us/KB/site+identity+button
http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/security/identity/
This has actually existed since Firefox 3.0
If you still want a padlock icon also then
