  Is someone can you please tell me if you can update the graphics/video card on this machine as we are having trouble loading and playing games (Sims 2 deluxe) and Tiger Woods 08 and a friend mentioned that the graphics card on this laptop does not support them. AFAIK there are here with 1 GB of memory, 128 MB graphics card and two games require at least 32 mb videocard support and yet they either load up, then stop responding or if I do get not one to play it crashes after a few minutes. Is there something that can be done to run one of these games?

  I have a laptop that I have windows vista 32 bit, I've upgraded to windows 7 Ultimate X64bit (Clean Install)
  and now, I want to install drivers and software for the new OS, however, and fortunately I was able to install every thing without any problem BUT
  the graphic video library! And the remote control
  whenever I run the graphical application Video Library, so it says something like "unable to connect to the release of app DB" can how I can run this app and the remote control does not work? Please help thanks.

  To be honest, I think you don t he need in Win7. It was important for Vista.
  AFAIK in Win7, the whole HARD disk will be indicated and specific data available for right running services.
  You have an unknown device listed in Device Manager?

  IM using HP Pavilion dv6-6150et notebook PC, windows 7.i update Mobile Intel(r) HD Graphics automatically from Device Manager, then renamed Intel(r) HD Graphics 3000 and when I restart I noticed Radeon (TM) HD 6770 M has a triangle yellow on him and when I open properties it says "windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. After that I updated Radeon 6770 M Intel(r) HD Graphics 3000 becomes Mobile Intel(r) HD Graphics back. And I couldn't open system and mozilla properties (it's not a big deal, but it indicates there is a problem that I can not know yet). And I have former New Mobile Intel(r) HD Graphics and it become Intel(r) HD Graphics 3000 and Radeon 6770 M stop work again.i read many forums but I'm so desperate now.

  As you have graphics ATI/Intel switchable, bothdrivers is provided by just the AMD software installer so try to use Recovery Manager to reinstall your graphics software AMD - the procedure to use the Recovery Manager to reinstall the drivers and software is detailed in the document at the link below.

  My goal is to insert all the pages of an illustrator (javascript) file into an Indesign document and get a handle on them (so I can spread out on different pages, etc.). This must be done without user intervention.

  I'm looking at the API documentation tried to use the Page place() method, but put up only the first page, it seems (i.e. the returned array has size 1). I noticed that the actual Indesign customer invite you to insert every page of the AI.

  So I repeat the question, how to make a handle on all the pages of the illustrator file (in javascript)?

  There is an app.pdfPlacePreferences to set before calling a method in place. I mean;

  To place 3rd page of mFile selected graphics frame use:

  app.pdfPlacePreferences.pageNumber = 3;
  app.selection[0].place(mFile);
  

  Above should work for PDF and AI files.

  INDD file to set the app.importedPageAttributes.pageNumber property.

  The laptop supports the Mobility Radeon X 2400 code name: M72
  It supports 32bit@64MB Local Cache.
  Total video/graphic memory is the sum of the local cache and Hyper memory.

  For example, memory Hyper depending on the installed RAM.
  You would get 256 MB memory hyper if system RAM would be 1024Mo
  2 GB of RAM using hyper memory should be more I think that something about 300 MB.

  Total graphics memory would be so local cache 64MB + ~ 300 MB of memory hyper-~ 364MB of graphics ram

  My laptop HP Pavilion dv7t-4000 CTO Select Edition has the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650. The latest version of the driver output of HP's latest Mobility Radeon driver version v8.771.1.0 AMD - ATI is v11.9. As a result of the latest updates, my video conversion software and other graphic software will not require work... and I get error messages telling me to upgrade my video card driver! I downloaded the current version of the driver 11.9 directly fom ATI, but it refuses to install and gives an error message saying contact manfacturer for help. Talk about a Catch 22!

  HP, you put an excellent video card in your Pavilion laptop... but now decrease you this video card by not providing updated drivers! Why?

  Upgrade to Windows 7 Professional 64-bit (updated 11/2009)

  The video card seems to have gone out and tried the following:

  Operating system reinstallation

  Uninstalled & drivers Reinstalled & restoration

  Before attempts above, no changes had been made to software or hardware only led to the same result: the video seems to be fine, and then it crashes and hangs and doesn't eventually having a hard reboot how, the computer loads the integrated video/graphic card.

  I need to buy a replacement video/graphics card, but I'm not sure what card I need to be aware of, or that my computer can handle as a replacement and maybe a possible upgrade (not necessary) - any help in this regard would be most appreciated.

  I think it's a good choice.

  The comments seem positive most of the time that the fan seems to be quiet.

  I don't know if your previous card had HDMI.

  When you install your new video card, it can disable your sound system because of the HDMI audio chip on the video card.

  If you do not lose your integrated audio system, after you install the video drivers, reboot the machine, go into BIOS, find the onboard audio setting. It can be set to Auto or disabled. Change the setting to "Enabled". Save the configuration when you have made the change and again when you exit the BIOS.

  Upon restart, you will have your on-board audio back.

  I tried to update ATI Mobility Radeon HD 2600 for my laptop in the hope of solving some problems with the Vista SP1 (I know that SP1 is not yet supported by Toshiba).

  The cards that you mentioned does not fit and supply energy needs is much too high for a closet slimline PC.

  Just upgraded my laptop (TOSHIBA TECRA A4) of Windows 8 and the card ATI Mobility Radeon X 600 is not detected by the system. Instead, there is a Microsoft standard base with poor results display adapter. Does anyone know how to fix this? I tried to uninstall this card, but it gets automatically reinstalled. I also tired Windows Update but without any result.

  I managed to find a solution and it could be applicable to other users.

  Step 1: Go to http://catalog.update.microsoft.com/v7/site/home.aspx and search of your graphics card.

  Step 2: once you find the list, select the suitable driver for windows 7 (WDDM) that are compatible with windows 8.

  Step 3: download. Run it and extract it in a specific folder.

  Step 4: Go to control panel, then system, then Device Manager, then the graphics card, then right click to update device software.

  Step 5: Select Browse my computer for driver software. In the next window, select the folder where you extracted the driver. That will solve the problem.

  For my portable 32-bit with ATI Mobility Radeon X 600, I chose the "ATI Technologies Inc. driver update for MOBILITY RADEON X 600 SE (Microsoft Corporation - WDDM).
