  I'm working on an .indd file existing (press sheet) and the need to add a text field with content that is stored in an xml file using Javascript in CS5.5. Can I make a text box and add content to it but a XMLimportation and grasping the value is just beyond my skills curent set. If someone could just push me in the right direction that would be great.

  Just a random guess: since CS4 or so file operations has gotten a little more picky on what they want - a literal object 'File' and nothing as simple as "a string is a file path. You can try this:

  (I copied the path of your post. "DDescktop" really the name of an existing folder?)

  I am trying to automate a process PDFing complex. A single indesign document should appear as several PDFs named, which fall into a number of folders that also have specific names. If I place the PDF names and folders in text boxes on the pasteboard of indesign pages they can be recovered by a script. Do I need to mark the text box, so the script knows where to look, and how this is done?

  Create a new layer and name it as "printpdf", create a block of text with this layer on each page and fill in the content, as shown in the picture, the first line for the name of the folder and the second row for filaname. The text block should be placed within the page, not the editing table.

My thought was to have a future image in the light table, with a button for more info that would be like a semi transparent section sliding with text. • Reducible, text box widget no longer works in accordion panels.

  The foldable Muse themes text box widget does more work in accordion panels in the latest version of Muse.

  I have a site to build from last year that is published and the foldable boxes 'read more' work very well.

  I update this site and the collapsible text boxes do not work.  The customer isn't happy and I am looking at hours of unpaid work to rebuild or copy the new text and assets in the former code.

  I need another solution for the Muse collapsible text boxes.

  I use the Widget text box in a custom quiz that I created.  Is there anyway to prevent a user to paste into the text box?  Basically, I need to make sure that students to type in the answer, not just copy a document and paste in the text box Widget.

  Initially I was using BER (which naturally seems to avoid this) but moved to Widget text box, so I could to format the text.

  They can also paste a TEB, sorry. You can provide such a limitation. The interaction of the scrolling text can be used to display the text (check the 'read only' option) or to allow the user to enter text.

  I have a question about widgets.

  What I want to do is to take the result of radio button widgets (in this case 1 2 rather long sentences that were available) and which will display a text box on another screen.

  Background: I have a series of slides where I ask the questions of the learner through Radio button widgets and so I get a number of variables (= penalty) they choose.

  The question I have is that I want to display all the choices they made on 1 page. Because the possible answers are relatively long I have run out of space if I simply inserts

  variables to shown as such and/or the police gets too small.

  So my idea is to use the answer that they choose to make a text box with a shorter version of the same appearo of sentence on this slide 'results '.

  So my idea is to have the learner to make their selection, then use a tip action to check what answer (= the option button), they clicked on.

  What I would do through "If XYZ variable ' 'contains (a keyword of the long sentence)' then 'show textbox YZ' etc.

  Question 1: Is this the most simple/more convenient way or I can save me time somwhow?

  In my example the var who will get the short sentence is v_class. It's always the variable associated with the interaction of radio buttons. You have as much of these variables to be inserted on the last slide you have interactions button radio please never enter the variable to insert, but use the X button in the role of composition of the properties panel for the text container. Variables are case sensitive, in this way, you will avoid typos.

  What version of InDesign are you using? What operating system do you use?

  The easiest way is to choose the tool of Type (T). Click and drag an image where you want to go.

  But, if you place the text to another program like Microsoft Word, click file > Place. Select the file and click Open. Drag-and-drop placement of text cursor to position it on the page.

  in what format save you your file? If it's a jpg file, then the text is compressed and unfortunately PS is telling things as they are. Even if you could change the text before you save, after having been saved in jpg format, the text is merged and is no longer editable.

  A good solution is to save the files as PSD files, photoshop files. In this case, all layers are saved uncompressed and so your text will appear in its own layer in photoshop. All you need to do in this case to change it is the result of a three-step procedure

  (1) select the right layer

  (2) take the text tool in the tools bar

  (3) mark and change your text

  So the crucial question is: in what format you save your file?

  Select your photo and text inside the subform flowed. Right-click and select wrap in subform do the positioned Subform subform. This will allow you to move objects in this subform positioned the way you like them.
