Plastic protective cover on the lid of the M40

Hi, I was wondering if it is allowed to leave the plastic protection on the lid of the laptop Toshiba M40 or should it be removed before using it? It would lead to an accumulation of static electricity, which could cause problems? Thank you.

Hi orie,.

It won't be a problem if you leave the protective cover in place on the lid of your M40. I did exactly the same thing when my laptop was again until they wear took the cover too damaged to be a real use.

Kind regards

    Hello

I just bought a 5510e Photosmart aio, B111a. It says in the manual that it is possible to print or scan books by unscrewing the lid. But how do you go? Seems I have to resort to violence!

    Hello I am

I rechecked everything on the device. As in the image, press the left side of the back cover with your thumb. The lid should unclip. The first time the cover can be a little stubborn. After that the left side is out you can push the cover to remove the cover on the right side.

  • How to loosen the screw on the cover of the hard drive T420i?

Hello, I'm moving to a bigger HDD on my T420i, but I can't seem to loosen the screw on the cover of the hard drive. Should what size/type of screwdriver I use? Thank you!

I use a Phillips 00 bit to remove the HARD drive cover plate. Once you have unscrewed the cover, using a small lever plastic (credit card works, too) for this boost to the bottom, and then it can be removed safely.

  • Studio XPS 8100 - how to remove the cover of the modular Bay?

I would remove the plastic cover of the modular Bay on the front of my venerable Studio XPS 8100 so I can install a USB 3.0 3.5 inch hub instead. However, I can't find instructions for it. In fact, I can't find any description of how to use the modular Bay.

To start: how to remove the cover plastic modular Bay?

Also: If someone has found the instructions on how to insert a player or another device in the modular Bay, I would be glad to know where I can find them.

    Hello rdunnil

I took off the glasses and I saw how the metal plate is attached. Applying light pressure with a screwdriver flat head will do the job. Exchange on USB 2.0 ports would also work: I found directions for the removed from their metal case. Whatever it is, I'm all set. Thank you for pushing me in the right direction. It is much more valuable than the useless, generic link you gave me.

  • Is it normal to remove the protective screen of the Mac laptop

Is it safe to remove the protector from the computer screen mac laptop?  The screen is cracked, and there is a lot of air bubbles; It's on laptop for over a year.

If the screen is cracked, I imagine that the screen protector is now the fragments broken in place. I suspect that you will have a worse screen if you remove the cover - it can make other parts of the screen is not locked firmly to the screen. You will not be able to apply a new cover, if the screen is damaged - it spreads upwards again once the surface is not flat and will be difficult to clean.

If you decide to remove the right cover, back up everything first on an external drive. The display may stop working if you are unlucky or heavy right-handed.

I think that it would be preferable to replace the broken screen.

  • What screwdriver to remove the cover from the fan on satellite p10

    Hello

Sorry, but your question is a bit ridiculous to me. Until you wait for a response from Google around or ask in some store Kit tools.

My last laptop was Satellite P20. It's a bit larger similar unit but with the same screws. It is not recommended to use screwdrivers not original but I did. Please don t that, because of screw causing damage.

    Good bye

  • Satellite L70-A-139 - guaranteed zero when removing the cover for the RAM and HARD drive

    Hi all

    I have a Satellite L70-A-139 youcef.
And at the back of the laptop, there is a cover that is fixed with a screw.

Wil I void the warranty when I unscrew and take a look?
I want to upgrade my HDD to SSD.
The motherboard supports Sata III: D.

    Thank you!

No, the mandate must still be valid.
There is a removable cover at the bottom of the unit as shown here:
    [Toshiba Satellite C70 / C75 / C70D / C75D / L70 / L70t / S70 / HARD S70t drive replacement procedure | http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/CRU3703HG0000R01.htm]

Then you should be able to upgrade the RAM and HARD drive.
I think this info should be mentioned in the user manual too.

  • Is it safe to leave the cover of the keyboard between the keyboard and screen retina when I close the macbook?

Hi, I have a macbook pro 15 "retina.

I got the cover of the keyboard (not cheap but decent), and I use it everytime I open my macbook.

However, I heard that it would be dangerous to leave the keypad cover when you close the macbook. Because it could hurt the sensitive retina screen.

    Is this true?

Is it safe to leave the cover on my keyboard when I close the macbook? It's a little annoying move coverage of my keyboard everytime I have my macbook to opening / closing.

If it's dangerous, is there a cover keyboard without danger to the retina on the market?

    Thanks for the help!

I have used Moshi Clearguard kb current covers on two MacBook Pro, including retina mid-2014, I usually use closed with my Apple display 27 ". I put KB covers on as soon as I bought computers and have never deleted without fingers never touched my keys. I did it because I saw how dirty the kbs in the Apple Store, and the seller told me that once the black keys are oily, it is impossible to clean completely. I started with a silicone rubber cap. Three weeks later, I threw it in disgust and I bought a Moshi to replace.

Moshi rugs are much thinner and lighter than the silicone rubber ones more adapted, hold their shape better, stay clear longer and are much easier to clean and type through. In addition to the one on my computer Ko, I keep one on the external Apple wireless keyboard which is always exposed on my desk. These caches really keep particulate crud, and they do not interfere with my typing at all. When they are dirty, I rub it in the sink with a detergent and a brush to vegetables, and when possible discoloration becomes noticeable after three or four years, I replace it with new ones.

My previous MBP, a Core 2 Duo late 2008 unibody model, allows to get much hotter than my current on occasion, and I fear sometimes that heat buildup between the lowercase and the display closed would cook the KB cover or even the screen itself. But that never happened, but I guess it might have helped if any yellowing of the coverage.

If use you Moshi hiding for seven years, I would never consider a time using a silicone back cover. I did not, and you shouldn't worry about all to close your view on a Moshi.
